  1. Yep, there are better managers for getting out of League 1.We play too much long ball and if you close Lambert down we're f*cked.Happened again today it would seem. Ince is a knob but he'd probably do a far better job than Pardew but I'd go for Darren Ferguson myself if we could get him here .

And thats the moment you lost all crediblity:smt009

  2. ****ing Ref was a joke. Having said that it should have all been over in the first half. No doubt Pardew will bare the brunt of the fallout but some of our players need to look at themselves too. How can they play so well one day and play that badly in the second half. Still I've said all along playoffs weren't going to happen this season so I'm not to bothered apart from I don't like us to lose.

  3. The club won't answer it, and neither should they.

Well it was NC comments in the public domain that sparked the whole shadow over APs future. Some clarifcation might help to settle things. Normally I'd agree with you but as NC chose to make his feeling public I think it's know a topic for diccussion. Of course we all know what happens to managers who get public votes of confidence from thier chairmen........

Personally I'd like to know if we're on a five year or three year plan for return to the EPL and how he feels about the JPT.

  5. It seems that AP and the fans are in agreement about our best eleven now give or take the odd player. So what do people think is our best second eleven? I've said before I'd like us to have a first team of around 24-25 two good players for every postion plus 2-3 utility players who can fill in. I think we've got enough good players to probably achieve that.

    My understudy eleven

    GK- Bart

    RB - ?

    CD - Thomas

    CD - Seabourne

    LB - Mills

    RW - Antonio

    CM - James

CM - Gobern (not 100% on this one)

    LW - Holmes

    F- Papa

    F- Connolly

I think we are still short in cover for midfield and right back (Murty would be good but I think his playing days are over) so a couple of signings in the summer might be needed, although I'll admit to not knowing much about our up coming youth players so there might be some options there. That still leaves a lot of players many of who will be leaving in the summer I imagine as they are just not good enough or AP doesn't rate them at least.

  7. After Tuesday it's possibly an unfortunate suggestion but would you take Trotman back (to partner Fonte) if he became available?

Yes I thought Trotman was a younger version of Jaidi really, strong in the air slightly dodgy with his feet. Maybe the reason Trotman and Jaidi didn't click was becuase they where to similair. Trotmans young still makes a few mistakes but I still think he was solid for us. I wouldn't be upset to have him back.

  8. Cheers for that. Just made my morning. :D

Is that the 1st time Papa has done his celebration?

No he has scored four in the league, one in the FA cup and I think four (?) in the JPT although he has only started something like 12 matches. I think he has scored more for us than any of his other clubs.

  9. Nice stadium, but a horrible place to visit for an away day what with the location and the fact MK Dons "fans" are all fakes that don't know what to do at a match making the atmosphere rubbish. In any case we'l beat them because we've got the beating of them and they know it.

I have to say I've actually been to some Dons matches in the home end last season, as my brother in law is a Dons fan. They make some noise not as impressive as a rocking St Marys but not that bad. Their fans are mostly youth it seems, they're starting from scratch with their fan base give them a century of history and they'll be all right:cool:. Although it's very annoying to hear them sing when the Dons go marching in:mad:

  10. I was at the home match (and if my memory serves me right) we struggled to break then down to start with but ended up winning quite comfortably. We have improved since that meeting (although so have they a little). I still reckon we will tonk them though 3-0 again I reckon.

  11. And while we're at it Jose Fonte for Portugal, Schneiderlin for France and what about Puncheon for England. In great form and a better option than Walcott or SWP.

I am joking by the way, OP is just showing a massive lack of footballing intelligence.

Jake Thompson for Trindad and Tobago.

  12. Where's "Wembely" ?Ok, I'm just bitter cos you got the link up before me.

He did say it "wasn't quite there", not that it was rubbish, and even excellent pitches cut up after torrential rain.

Damn my fumbled typing I was just in a hurry to get the link up before you;)

How come you can't edit titles any way?

Somehow I don't think it's going to be a bad as Stockport's, Colchester's or Wycombe's pitch. I wonder how many lower league pitches Milner has played on this year?

  13. Interesting comments from Murty on late kick off last night. Lots of work behind the scences by AP to keep Lallana happy and make sure he stays a saint. Lallana very happy wants to stay and play for saints. Excellent news looks like Adam will stay another season.

The thing is if we lose any players the won't go cheap becuase we don't need to sell. With all the money player sales bring in we can just plunder the teams around us. If we lose Lambert we can just buy Swindons front pair for example. In league one most players will won't to come to us I reckon. So for the first time ever I'm not worried about losing players becuase unlike before I reckon we will replace quaility with quaility, rather than Lowes old trick of selling quaility and buying crap to replace it.

  14. OMG the Stockport pitch had even less grass than Wycombe,

What a shame that the highlights of our game was only the goals.

That pitch was awful how can that be acceptable to play on? I take it Stockport had to lay off the groundsmen went they went into admin.
