Especially now that the fee, contract length, and wage has been leaked. Good point.

Wouldn't surprise me if we just said, forget it. We then go out and get a very good CB and winger for top dollar to prove we have funds, an then with 2 / 3 days of the window remaining, go back, slap in a lower fee and see what happens.

Lets just hope so shall we!

Well if they are then 1) they are sad 2) they know a hell of a lot about Italian football as these journalists aren't just tweeting about Ramirez, there are other things going on 3) they speak pretty fluent Italian by the look of it 4) i repeat, they are sad.

I know I'll get slated for this by some on here but doesn't that tell you something about the way we must be during the fee negotiation stage. It isnt the first time this has happened this summer or last summer.... I think Cortese needs to loosen the straps a bit and be a little more lenient and easy going with demands rather than being so rigid. I'm not gonna bother listing the names but you all know what players I'm referring to...

I've been positive since the day it was announced but today I have just lost all confidence and resigned to the fact he just isn't gonna come here. Hugely disappointed but I trust The Don and NA to sort out the other positions and have a successful season. We proved on Sunday that we have more than enough quality for a successful first season back at this level and maybe after 1 year in the PL, we'll be able to attract even bigger names here next summer?

I just dont get how hard this deal can possibly be?! I mean, how can we or any other club / company / organisation provide guarantees for a years time? We could be back in admin within 6 months for all we know! It seems that Bologna are being difficult on purpose. Maybe they dont want Ramirez coming to us as they see him better off going to a bigger team so are trying to make it as hard a possible so that we pull out? Therefore leaving another larger club the ability to come in a steal him in a much easier, smoother and quicker process.

So the problem is totally down to finance and how we pay. The Corriere della Sport journo now says that the issue is that Bologna dont trust us to pay the remaining 5m euros. This all stems from a transfer last year. Bologna sold Osvaldo to Espanyol. He then moved on to Roma and Espanyol stopped paying the remaining installments on the transfer. Therefore Bologna now dont trust us to complete the deal in a years time just because 1 club messed up.
