As I read it he is leaving immediately. Assume we can call Lumb in to replace him mid match?
Hmm, so it does. The article originally said after the Championship match but looks like it has been amended since I first linked to it.
I would imagine we could replace him as it isn't an injury

North has been called up by the Aussies. So it looks like this will be his first and only game for Hampshire for the time being -

When we finally stop falling & hit rock bottom? If ever?
As surely only then can we start to inch ourselves back upwards.
We may not have hit rock bottom yet if this rumour from the Conference Forum is to be believed -

I thought they only reduced them last week?
Actually it was first announced on 2nd March.

And now Whitlock joins the PDC -

Is it worth the BDO actually holding a World Championship this year?

Killer
in The Saints
Yep, he did.
He kicked it in frustration after the ref gave a decision against us. The bottle went across the ground past Clough and ended up just next to Gary Crosby, who then proceeded to whine like a ***** to the fourth official about it.

Nice idea but I don't think it will work.
I go to watch Salisbury quite regularly when Saints are away.
I don't think there is another day for the rest of the season that both the Whites and Saints play at home on the same day, apart from Easter Monday but Salisbury kick off at 1500 and Saints kick off at 1945.
Salisbury asked before the fixtures came out that if possible that they didn't play at home on the same day as Saints as a few of the Saints stewards also work at Salisbury games too and help train up the Salisbury stewards too.

Team just announced -
Shah in for Bell and Anderson in for Harmison.
WI to bowl first.

And now Gary Anderson joins the PDC too -

Another player jumps off the sinking ship that is the BDO and joins up with the PDC.

Typical! North has been named in the Aussie Test squad to tour South Africa.
The series finishes on March 23rd so hopefully he will be around for Hants at the start of the season but if he gets a chance and impresses than an Ashes call up isn't out of the question -

I'd be surprised if this goes ahead with the existing and forecast conditions.
Yep, the forecast is for more heavy snow later -

Hopefully the match will be on as it sounds like Sheffield United haven't had the best of days and are travelling down by coach now.

Apparently Dominic Cork is possibly going to play in the IPL (read in a couple of places that Udal is in the auction as well). Will be a bit annoying if Cork gets signed as I'm fairly certain one of the main points of his signing was to cover for Dimi while he's away!
Yep, Cork is in the auction -

And the Russians are the latest to enter the race -

It wouldn't surprise me if the Aussies got it

Even with the addition of North, I still think we could do with another batsman.
Although we have capable batsmen in the mid/lower order with the likes of Pothas, Dawson, Dimi and Cork, I just don't think batsmen number 3, 4, 5 will score enough runs on a consistent basis.

I suspect that may have had more to do with the lack of credible opposition, to be fair. It was Al Gore, wasn't it, who ran against him in the last election?
It was John Kerry, but your point is still a valid one.

Dawson takes 2/50 off 10 overs as SA bat first.

I might be tempting fate here but if Hampshire win today, do they finish top of the group?
Presuming Worcs beat Ireland, will it come down to net run rate or is it the results between the two teams?
The group winners are guaranteed a home tie in the quarters on Saturday.
