Well, my view is that we need a striker (or two) anyway. I don't think J Rod is anywhere near being able to have the sort of impact we need from a striker.

Easy one to assess really. We competed well but not at all clinical up front. If we had been clinical up front in the first half, it could have been a different outcome. We're definitely missing "something" in the team at the moment .... really good in areas and weak in others. Positives to take though - Man Utd do have a lot of quality in that team and they didn't exactly smash us.

Have done Aberdeen away with Saints already - so would rather avoid that one.

Seville returned some of their allocation and they were passed on to Liverpool, due to the demand they had. Thus Seville and Liverpool fans in the same areas and kicking off pre-KO!

Am absolutely gutted to hear this. One of life's good guys and had many a great trip on the road with him. Will never forget the Aberdeen away game. RIP pal.

It states in the article that a steward reported them to the police and they were arrested at the time. Doing his job I would say.

Regardless, everything in the ground is recorded on CCTV. So a grass really isn't required to capture bellends like this making tools of themselves.

This used to be my back-up option if Sports Mania was playing up, but it seems to have become a different site now, and isn't accepting my username / password combo. And won't let me reset my password, as it doesn't recognise my E-mail address.

 

Looks like it may be the end of the road for that option. Shame, as it was decent.

It's still there but they overhauled their payment system which "reset" everyone's accounts. Not sure how to resolve your issue, but they may be able to help in the chat room:

I've cancelled my account now, as I've found equally as reliable streams for free via the Phoenix addon for Kodi. It looks to be Premier League Pass ... and has worked perfectly the last couple of games. Probably exactly the same source that is on Sports Mania, etc.

Personally, I think Clasie is miles out of his depth in the Prem. van Dijk has been our best signing, but as soon as we lose our other strong CB we are in trouble. It's been the same at the back (and between the posts) for several seasons now. We have good attacking players, but when momentum is against us that counts for very little. No effective breaking up play. No keeping the ball. No creativity. Morgan has been an immense loss IMO. But he isn't irreplaceable - we just don't have a replacement in the squad at the moment.

As poor as we were in that second half, I thought the back 4 were still pretty solid. They held things together and were resilient despite the midfield not protecting them as much as they should have. Cedric was excellent in particular. Wanyama is a shadow of his former self. Not at all imposing anymore and getting more and more clumsy.

At the end of the day - it is a win. We were strong in the first half and took our chances. Bournemouth were strong in the second half but still didn't really create anything clear cut. That is the difference and is why we are sitting 7th tonight.
