    Subs in the 92nd & 93rd minute !!

     

    For what purpose ? Disrupt the rthyhm of the game and prevent a Watford third perhaps.

    Tell me about it! Especially bringing Boufal on so late. A player with genuine game changing ability should be given longer to change the game, not just be given a token run out. We do that on Sunday mornings if the game is dead. We needed a spark and the Muppet did F all about it. I am still incensed by it!

    That does sound to me alot like they don't trust him to get the job done. I mean, why else would senior management get involved at that level. What they are doing is MPs job. That is what is happening, no matter how he publically spins it. He must realise this. LR and RK are attempting to repair some damage. To me, this says the writing is on the wall for the manager. Steady the ship, deal with the players, and hope to start the fix before the new man starts. If I were in a management position and my bosses got more hands on, I would certainly not be appreciative. I would be planning my next move elsewhere

    I would hope that there will be at least one before the next league game. Please no dithering Les like last season with Gabbiadini
    I agree. Whatever happens, has to happen quickly. We need reinforcements now, whether it be new players, new manager or both.

    Was he talking about the game today (can't call it a match) or yesterday's team charades? I saw no character from anyone in a saints kit in that pitch today. I'm certain I'm not the only one

    The defensive coaching is ridiculous. Salah, Mahrez, and Alli were allowed to cut across the box on their shooting foot and hit the goal. Why weren't they pressed onto their weak foot and made to go outside. Romeu showed Alli the inside line today FFS, that is just stupidity, just like thinking challenging behind an attacker at a free kick and unable to reach the ball is defending. Defenders have to attack the ball not stand off. We need the defenders coached to win the header not let the attacker get in front of them. Kane today and the equaliser against Arsenal and Huddersfield. There is a lack of direction from the coaches. Winning the ball is more important than zonal stand watching as the ball hits the back of the net with the spectating goalkeeper showing no leadership.
    It's basic stuff too. Romeu for the first goal lined up with Kane goal side if him and had no chance after that. He even pushed him to the ball. Get goal side and you give yourself a chance. Simple Sunday morning defending that shouldn't even need coaching. It's common sense more than anything.

    No cohesion. No drive. No urgency. Second to the ball most times. Dalying in possession. Static when attacking. Cumbersome when defending. Slow reactions all over the pitch. For me, that was a horror show. Either the players are being coached to play that way, or MoPe has completely lost any of the dressing room he had. Either way, I think his time is up. Even he should be praying for it now. I'm not normally one to call for a sacking, in fact I think time should be given in most cases, but the deterioration in our performances in terrifying. Surely it can't continue for any longer. We are in a relegation battle, and there seems to be an acceptance from the players, like it already a given. There is no fight, no character. Many of these players were challenging for European football not so long ago, so it stands to reason that they have the ability. I can see no other reason for our predicament than **** poor management. As much as I would love to see MoPe admit it is step too far for him and fall on his sword, it just isn't going to happen. He needs to be replaced poste haste, for his and the teams benefit.

    I can't find much about it, other than it is based in Jakarta, so it could be. Wasn't it mentioned that Mr Gao had creditors or interests in Indonesia? I could be making that up, but it does ring a bell

    Mitchell, whose inside knowledge may have allowed them to gazump us on Toby, tempting Poch away when he was still under contract with Saints, Wanyama, their attempts to unsettle Morgan before coming in with a lowball offer, Bale, then Bale's sell-on clause, Hoddle, and Richards. I hold a grudge for all of these things.

    The only thing I'm still bitter about is Tommy Forecast! Bitter and resentful.

     

    But you do have to admit, they play the game the right way and run their club well too.

    Virgil Transfer Rumours - Summer 17

    Well, the c*nt has finally been backed into a corner and forced to put in a transfer request, so his greed in attempting to gain the transfer by effectively displaying the unprofessional sulk has not paid off, thank God. At least that will save the club a few bob. But whatever we do now, no way should he be sold to Liverpool under any circumstances. With luck his transfer request will bring in other suitors with clout and money and there can be a bidding war to raise the price.

     

    What exactly is the legal position now, though? Are we still under the terms of his contract able to refuse to sell him unless a price acceptable to us is paid? His stance with his insistence that he wants to go to Liverpool has weakened our bargaining position with other clubs who think that the Scousers have an advantage. Could we still hold onto him until the window closes if we don't get an acceptable price for him? That would be interesting.

    Our legal position hasn't changed as far as my understanding goes. We hold the players registration for the next 5 years. We hold the cards here. There is nothing illegal in holding someone to the terms of a contract that was signed whilst sound of mind. The only way out of it is for him to prove we are in breach of it, or he was doolaly-tap when he signed it.
