Glasgow Saint - the fact is there will need to be new players bought and one of the priorities has got to be Centre back to give Jose and Jos competition. Jose did well yesterday but struggled during the Season. Jos scored some good goals - but still missed some good chances and still could improve further (the chant he only scores on a tuesday says it all ) We do need another Keeper to give Kelvin genuine competition and we do need pace in the team (Sharp is lively like his name but not fast) Next Season will be a baptism of fire for some if not all the Players and they have so much to do to remain in the Premiership - averaging about a point a game to be safe.
-
News travels fast ... Some of the Girls have told me that Jos Hooiveld was in the Piano Bar today and came over as arrogant and disinterested in Saints Fans. Didn't take long for Jos to become Big Time after Saints secured the Win to the Premier League. Shame really - cos some of the Players like Kelvin and Adam come across as very genuine.
-
The Girls have found the thread useful ... 1) Getting another Keeper in makes sense to challenge Kelvin. 2) A CB to replace Jaidi and give competition to Jose Fonte and Jos Hooiveld. 3) Another player in for Danny Butterfield on that side of play will help strengthen the Team. Yes, the Defence needs a lot more work to consistently shut the door on teams.
-
How about some-one like Kaspar Schmeichel - he would be an improvement on Kelvin
-
Saint John - the Girls reckon you're full of it !! Tactics have a part to play - but of course it is about individual players and Danny Butterfield - Jose Fonte - and Danny Fox have been inconsistent and made regular errors. Jose Fonte was a shining light in League One - but has been found wanting this Season and goes for the man rather than the ball regularly. Do you go to Home and Away Games ?????
-
Once we have secure Promotion - the Girls think we need a new Keeper to challenge Kelvin. We also think we need a new back line replacing Jose Fonte Danny Butterfield and Danny Fox but keeping Jos Hooiveld.

Advice from a Boro' fan...

This is good information. The Girls know that Doc Browns is on Corporation Road at one end and then Hairy Lemon and The Central Pub are right next to each other. Walkabout is across the Road and Barracuda is down Albert Road not too far from the other Pubs. The Saints Fans will all be in these Pubs !!! -
The Girls have been drinking a bottle of wine and been looking through the Saints Forum and Daily Echo Site and everyone reckons that Dr Browns on Corporation Road is going to be the popular Pub for Middlesborough. Everyone knows that Barney has a lot of catching up to do and if he can get on the Pitch and get the ball and make an impression including creating chances and get shots off, he will get goals.
-
While Barney is still here the Girls think that this is the best version : Wonder if we will see him at Middlesborough ?? Lee Barnard Barnard He's short and he's f*cking hard He's better than Frank Lampard Lee Barnard Barnard Lee Lee Lee Barnard Well the Girls think he is better than Frank Lampard - Frank is getting past it ... let's be honest !!! and Barney could do with being cut a bit of slack after the stress of the last year. Barney needs to focus on his football and score for Saints !
-
Happy Days !!! - The Girls knew he would be found innocent !! Just need a new chant for him ... Lee Barnard ... Barnard He's short and he's f*cking hard NEW LINE REQUIRED Lee Barnard ... Barnard. Lee Lee Lee Barnard ...
-
barney is innocent ok !!! All the girls and saints fans wish him the very best !!!
-
Charters, the Dutch Barge at Peterborough was OK last night - the rain did not help and the fact it is also popular with the Peterborough Fans - same as the Cherry Tree where all the fans mix. The Girls like when it is all Saints Fans in a Pub and it is just choosing that Pub and getting it right on the day. We like lots of chanting and singing. Middlesborough is a challenge, but with 3000 to 4000 fans travelling - no reason not to have fun !!!! GOOD LUCK TO BARNEY - BARNEY IS INNOCENT OK !!!
-
The Bridge Inn Looks like that is the pub to be - right near the Station !! GOOD LUCK BARNEY !!
-
Cherry Tree seems to be the fans favoured Option and Charters the Dutch Barge on the River Nene. See Barney is in Salisbury Court before the beak today !! GOOD LUCK BARNEY !! Come on the Saints.

These 3 Pubs found on the Away Guide. Where are all the Saints Fans heading ? Dr Browns - 135 Corporation Road, Middlesbough, TS1 2RR Tel: 01642 213 213 Dr Browns is a popular Away Friendly pub which is close to the Riverside Stadium, around a ten minute walk. The pub has a decent selection of beer and also shows the football on Sky Sports. There is a decent mix of home and away fans in this pub, although it does tend to get busy on matchdays, as you would expect. The Bridge Inn, Bridge Street East, TS2 1NW Tel: 01642 248785 Although not a designated away fans pub in Middlesbrough, this pub is a popular choice as it is just across the road from the train station. There is generally a heave police presence outside this pub and you can expect to be escorted to the ground, should you leave it late to head to the Riverside Stadium. Lloyds Bar, 19 Newport Crescent, TS1 5UA Tel: 01642 260650 Website: Wetherspoons Website The Resolution is your local Wetherspoons fix. Open from 8am, so if you are on a lunchtime kick-off then head here as it's likely to be the only pub in town open. Serving all the normal cheap food and cheap beer, this pub welcomes away fans visiting the Riverside Stadium. Come on the Saints !! P.S (Don't tell the poster CFSFC as he will be at home doing the washing up under instructions from the WIFE as he hasn't got a Dishwasher !!!)
-
Now the Girls all know you're a WUSS - and so do all the other Posters - when you resort to Sexism (it was only a joke, love !!) above supporting the SAINTS !! You don't drink at the Pubs anyway or go to many games probably - enjoy your coach journey up and your cocoa (if your WIFE allows you the money to go to the game !!) Come on the Saints !!
-
CFSFC - You're such a WUSS !!! As long as Saints Win - the Girls will be happy !! Not many games left now for Barney to make an impact !
-
Cherry Tree seems to be the best bet !!!! Barney seems to be working hard in the Squad - awaiting his chance to make an impact from the Bench
-
Where are Saints Fans going Drinking before the Peterborough Game ? The Girls went last season and the ground is ok - but a mismatch and really League One ... On the away Guide near the Station is the Brewery tap - the Cherry Tree and Palmerston on Oundle Road or Charters (Dutch Barge) on the River. See Barney seems a regular on the Bench now !!!
-
The girls are going to looking round before the Game for all the Saints Fans and I'm sure they will be everywhere. One of the Girls texted me and confirmed William Stanley, Ship, Railway Telegraph or try once again the Flora Sandes. Should be a great day and looking forward to celebrating Winning - 4-0 to saints would be fantastic. Barney may even make the bench.
-
The Girls like the Chapel Arms but the girl who does my nails told me that that Loyalty Cards have already been given out for the Game - so it's a closed shop for Saints vs Pompey. May even try Ocean Village for a change. It's going to a be a tough game - but sure Rickie will get a goal for us Saturday. Barney may even make the Bench.
-
One of my girlfriends who drinks in the King Alfred says it is Open on Saturday - from about 0930 in the morning. It's a great pub as it's only a short walk to the Stadium. Decisions ... decisions - what Pub to drink in - also the Josh Tree is Open throughout and there is rumour of a bacon butty if you get there before 10am. Don't know if Barney will even play or feature but he has moved up the rankings since Tadanari Lee has got injured.
-
One of the Girls rang the Royal Oak today and found out they are Open from 10am on Saturday - and just got to show your Match Ticket to get in !!! Also fancy going to The Bridge (near the Itchen Bridge) - Drop in beforehand and pick up a Loyalty Card. Really hope Barney can step it up before the end of the Season and grab some goals !!! A hairdressing girl friend of mine told me that some Pompey Fans might come into Town Friday Night or Saturday threatening trouble ?????
-
Are all the pubs going to be open near the Stadium for the Pompey Game ? The Girls were thinking of drinking in Town like Yates or maybe the Royal Oak ... Everyone know not to sing Pay Up Pompey at the Stadium it makes their support sound good !!! Cheers !!! Here's to a Saints Win and Barney getting some time on the pitch
-
Where is everyone drinking for the Palace Away Game ? Went with the Girls to the Palace Cup Game and when we went to the Wetherspoon Pub - Flora Sandes - there was a bouncer on the door and all the Saints Fans had relocated to aPub further down the High Street. Copied this from the Away Guide. Opposite Thornton Heath Railway Station there is a Wetherspoon pub, called the 'The Flora Sandes' which is popular with both home and away supporters. Also close by is 'The Railway Telegraph' on Brigstock (as you come out of Thornton Heath station turn right and the pub is further down on the left). This pub serves Youngs beers and is quite spacious. It is then about a 15 minute walk from here to the ground (as you come out of the pubs turn right and follow the other fans). There are plenty of Kebab & Chip shops available on the route to the ground. Otherwise near Norwood Junction Railway Station on the High Street is another Wetherspoon outlet called 'The William Stanley' (From the Station turn right at the Clock Tower into the High Street). The nearby 'Ship' pub on the High Street has also been recommended to me. Generally beer and lager are served inside the ground. Please note though that for certain high profile games, the Club choose not to serve alcohol to away supporters. On the Subject of Barney - his motor is running and he is raring to go. Shame he is not played more as he does not often get the passes and the ball now as the Team are not used to him and he looks very much League One. If only he could score in the derby and make a name for himself.
