Jose Fonte human league song...
Elyounoussi baby
Elyounoussi oh oh oh oh
He was working as a waiter
In his Dad’s pizza shop...
That much is true
Now he’s a Saint, and believe it or not
He's gonna score against you
Elyounoussi baby
Elyounoussi oh oh oh oh
We hate Pompey (clap clap clap)
In view of his wiki entry, shouldn't it be something to the tune of "I'm in the mood for dancing"?We're in the mood Elyounoussi
ELYOUNOUSSI!
's gonna score a goal for us

Two questions;
1) I am doing my predictor for the work comp, is it likely that Russia will cheat their way to the cup, or am I just a sheep to the anti-Russia propaganda?
2) The kids at my Mrs preschool are collecting world cup stickers, what (current) Saints players can I tell her to look out for?
FWIW my predictor has England being knocked out by Japan... C'Mon Yoshida.

38 games in a season so 1.2765 x 38 = 48.507.
Good enough for 9th place this season. I’d take that next season.
I knew my maths were letting me down somewhere
Your boys looked a good team yesterday, far too good for the cats.when it comes to Hurling, I'm Kilkenny all the way (I'm from Mayo - my Mother was from Kilkenny). I was very quiet today in work

Thanks, I'll try it for the NBA tomorrow.

That's only pretty poor if you expect us to have Poch, Pep or Klopp.
The fact is that his record is pretty much tied in with the natrual position of our club.
It's a pretty poor record, if my maths are correct (perhaps not).
1.2765... points per game
*28 Games = 35.7433... points
That said, I'm happy with Saint Sparky, even if I think the contract is a year too long.

RIP Bradley. Unfortunately your passing highlights the need for organisations such as Make a Wish & children's hospice services.

any one else? this one is hardly functioning?
It was working brilliantly until I posted the link here. There are a few to try on Reddit.

When we are on the subject of Saints players appearing on pointless TV shows, Shane Long was 'Living with Lucy' on Irish TV recently. I'm not sure if this link works outside Ireland, but it is worth a watch, even if the presenter is incredibly annoying.

Is queer a term of abuse now?
Yes, I think it always has been.
Which is worse - a comment like this, or a legbreaker tackle?Obviously the leg breaker. That doesn't make Chaplow's comments OK. Homophobia just ain't Saintly.

I'd prefer if they bought in a Sin Bin like they have in Rugby, would still have a similar effect overall and a lot easier to inforce as refs won't feel under pressure issuing it.
Not a fan of rugby, but love the rules surrounding the ref. They might not all work in the beautiful game but how about allowing only 1 player per team approach the ref at the same time and micing up the refs?

When was the last time someone drove a truck along a crowd of people killing 84 in the name of atheism?
This obviously isn't the place to debate this, but its the people who continue to ignore the issue rather than those that point it out that are the problem.
Another way to look at it is that lunatics quite often use religion to justify or validate their lunacy. Are you not concerned by the militant 'christian' groups on the rise?
Coincidently I watched a documentary about Islam in Ireland last night (it was on our equivalent of Newsnight) and it pointed out that in some areas of the country the Muslim community has grown by over 3000% over the last 20 years, this happened to coincide with a massive drop in terrorist activity and support on all parts of the Island;)
But you are right this is not the place to debate this, I wonder what people think The Club should do? Should we go over for a Friendly?

Morgan Schneiderlin is surplus to requirements at Manchester United and is set to be reunited with his former boss Ronald Koeman at Everton - reports The Sun. Jose Mourinho is in the middle of a clear-out since taking over at Old Trafford and believes that the former Southampton midfielder does not fit with his plans for next season. Schneiderlin - who cost £25m a year ago - would be available for a reduced fee, and Koeman is desperate to team up with the Frenchman again at Goodison Park.
We should do all we can to bring Morgan back if the price/wages are right. I Presume we have a sell on clause so we can offer ??% more than other clubs at the very least we should make Everton pay top price if they really want him.

Hope his legs get snapped in half when he leaves. Let this club down for a 4th time this season. ****.
I don't know if that is sarcasm or if you are a troll (I don't really bother looking at usernames). But if it was neither, I have a few questions...
- What if VW stays at saints until retirement?
- What would you like to happen to Clattenberg?
- At the start of the season did you think that VW would get more red/yellow cards than the average player?
-
Cult hero? Jesus.
Jesus is one example, I was thinking more like Brett Omorod, played 98, scored 13, but worked hard.

I'm surprised by the amount of posters that want to get shot of Long. I think the £12m price tag is clouding peoples decisions. Like everyone else I bawked at the price we paid, but that's in the past and was the boards decision. In hindsight, we should have bought him in January instead of August. At that IMHO time he would have been a bargain and great back up for Rickie.
If he we paid a reasonable amount he could be on the way to becoming a cult hero. He has scored some important goals, has a great work rate and seems to be happy to play out of position and not being the first name on the team sheet. Price is relative anyway, I wonder if Hull fans would give up their £6m profit for a do-over of the 14/15 season with Long in their squad/Gaston not.
The OP suggested that Long might be looking for a move to cement his place in the ROI squad, I think the opposite is the case. His place is not in doubt - MoN does not have that many PL players to choose from (or non PL players for that matter) and his limited playing time at Saints means less chance of injury or fatigue before France 2016. From a Saints point of view, if he scores a 'worldy' or two in the Euro's his value may increase, why sell now?
-
I always figured his role was a figure head/meet and greet type whose job was to turn up at functions and such like, make a few speech's and do a bit of media work like a university chancellor. I always assumed the actual business of running the club was left to other people. Ralph never struck me as the all powerful type chairman that are usual at other football clubs.
I always thought that Ralph was Katharina's representative and advisor. Meeting, greeting and motivational speaking are just other jobs he can do.

The 10 men example is an unusual one but....
...It highlights the "issue". Saints had 11 players defending v Norwich's 8 attacking
The main argument for leaving someone like Mane up field is that, because of pace and guile, it will force opposition to hold back not one, but two extra players. That means you have a better edge in your own penalty box defending... AND at least a chance of a breakaway goal........and likely see their last defender get a" red " into the bargain - if he fouls Mané in full flight......- what they said.

It's a Long way to Tipperary,

Eurovision, I presume? We don't want any Euro failures here, thank you very much.
yeah, Eurovision - that terrible song actually won.

Its probably not a very well known song in England, but I woke up with this song in my head this morning.
