TopGun Posted 1 October, 2008 Share Posted 1 October, 2008 Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear could re-sign former Republic of Ireland full-back Stephen Carr, with the 32-year-old failing to find a new club since leaving the Magpies at the end of last season. (The Guardian) As a free agent I guess his wage demands might be acceptable.
Bailey Posted 1 October, 2008 Share Posted 1 October, 2008 Will never happen. As you say, his wage demands would be too high, and add to that the fact that he's too old for us.
Scudamore Posted 1 October, 2008 Share Posted 1 October, 2008 I know Newcastle are a bit of a shambles at the moment but i think if he had the choice they might just edge us in a bidding war! Also i am well aware that we are a complete shambles

AndyNorthernSaints Posted 6 October, 2008 Share Posted 6 October, 2008 He'd do better than Lloyd James, thats for sure. I'd do better than our current fullbacks at the moment. Carr would be too expensive(wages) too experienced, too old and too good defensively in the fullback position for Saints. Expect another unknown midfielder to be signed on loan this week.
