I dont know whether its because referees are cracking down more on 'dangerous' challenges or whether because we have a younger and therefore possibly a more defensively neive (spl) squad, but it does seem that we are getting an extraordinary large number of cautions and sendings off this season. What does Molyneux's card today tgake it up to? By my reckoning its 5 where as last year we had only 3 all season and the year before just 1.

Also saw today that Martinez was very critical about our physicallity today and said we should have had at least one more sending off. I didn't see the game due to work so can anyone who went comment on whether they thought we were particularly physical with our tackling today and why they think we seem to be getting more cards this season?

We were very strong in the tackle today but at no time did we over-step the mark. Having said that, I thought Wotton was a little fortunate to go unpunished after that challenge which bizarrely ended up with us being awarded a free-kick!?

Every tackle we made today was strong, solid and 100% committed. I see Gary Monk has also said that Swansea failed to adapt to our physical game during the first half, something that hasn't been said often enough this season.

Might I add that we've been lacking that much needed bite and commitment over the course of the season, and I've lost count of the times that we've been accused of being too nice and only able to play 'pretty football'. I distinctly remember Chris Coleman saying earlier on in the season that it was possible to 'bully' us out of the game.

Personally, I'm glad to see a more determined and physical approach in our game, and long may it continue. From what I've seen of the last 2 games, if we do go down, it won't be without a fight.
