  1. Let's not be silly - his team had just won with the last kick of the game...what do you expect him to do?! it was nice of him not to celebrate his own, goal but it is ridiculous to expect him not to celebrate when his team score a goal!
  2. Brighton and Charlton are run on much smaller budgets than us. and when you have an unbeaten home record like brighton, then it becomes much easier to look on the bright side when you draw away from home.
  3. I think expecting a club that has spent as much as we have in comparison to everyone else in our league to be able to beat hartlepool is entirely realistic.
  4. so frustrating... again. let off the hook by others but still poor. and hartlepool's home record is poor. it is their away form that is saving them this season. pathetic lack of consistency from us
  5. Agreed. But for fear of things becoming far too lovey-dovey and everyone actually accepting some common ground, i feel i should instead tell you that you don't know what you're talking about and that you're an idiot.
  6. why do people get so angry/aggressive to those who dare to state that everything is not perfect at our club?! if that was the case, this forum would be empty, or at the very least unbearably dull. everyone here supports the club, and would therefore prefer it if everything were perfect, but it is not. it is not an offence to have moan at things that aren't being done as well as they could be. rant over.
  7. No, I will continue to spout this tosh win, lose or draw until i see some signs of improvement from him. fantastic coach, got us playing good football, but tactically inept.
  8. I think it is fair to say that Adkins is not a gifted tactician.
  9. Don't expect any of that from Adkins...
  10. I went to the huddersfield away game, and was absolutely livid with adkins. despite (surely?) knowing that huddersfield would play 2 huge strikers and knock it long all game, he left jaidi out of the side - easily our most dominant defender. this was a fairly criminal error on his part and i have been pretty sceptical of him ever since. that day we were bullied from start to finish. today, i don't think jaidi (MOTM for me) lost one challenge, and eventually they took alan lee off. even more pleasingly, i actually agreed with NA's substitutions today- he took off schneiderlin (who was a class above the rest, chamberlain excluded) at the right time, as he did with chamberlain. guly was actually one of our best performers i thought, apart from his finishing of course. his first chance was a header which he headed tamely wide first time when he should have brought it down. every other chance following that he wanted too much time. but his link up play and work rate were second to none.
  11. jaidi and guly were the only players who came close to performing today - though guly was poor in front of goal. adkins was dire, as ever. seaborne needs his contract terminating. lallana also very poor - held on to the ball too long almost every time he had it.
  12. Connolly?? If i was David Connolly i would hand in a transfer request in the morning. you sit on the bench watching that absolute garbage only to be given 8 minutes...? outrageous. although he may struggle with his fitness, connolly is a class above most of this lot and a very intelligent player.
  13. sad to say, but adkins is not the answer. he is a physio. he may be a good coach, but he is totally and utterly inept as a manager. and i thought he was meant to replacing the 'long ball' approach of pardew...? all we did every time we got the ball today was lump it high and long to an out of form lambert. there is no way that we would have fewer points if pardew was still here, though i know he was limited too.
