  1. It is disappointing not to come away with a win but Exeter are a good side at home. I was at St James' Park last season when we were a crap team in the Championship and they were a decent League 2 side. We were AWFUL and should have lost but the quality of McGoldrick and John got us through it. I am still going with the "5 year plan" and not getting carried away. There was ZERO chance we were going up this year and I guarantee that most people who post on here would have been happy with a mid-table finish at the start of the season, considering our predicament. Typical fickle football fan syndrome kicks in after a few good results, which is why I cannot stand a lot of Saints fans. Yes, we have spent a lot of money but you cannot get a completely different team to gel straight away. What fills me with confidence is that we will completely p*ss over this league next season with the players we have and I am sure more will be brought in over the summer. We will be an attractive outfit for most players in the Championship/League One, I would have thought, and I can see some big names coming to us to go along with the likes of Fonte, Lambert, Barnard, Davis, Lallana,Schneiderlin etc. WE will get promoted next season with Pardew at the helm. Just be patient.

Best post of the year. A good run like we had the end of last year doesn't make us promotion quality - Neither does the fact we've spent £3m. Just because we've spent £3m doesn't mean we should be rolling teams over every week. People seem to have forgotten last summer - I'm still thankfull to have a football to support! Another season in League One? I'll take it.

  2. I'm not being funny but anyone who queues up is a bit of a spazza. What's the point when all you have to do is ring a freephone number, pay with a debit card, and get the tickets delivered free of charge.

In any case they won't sell out quickly. They never have done for local derbies. Even when we played the Skates at the Dell during Merringtons tenure tickets went to general sale.

I'm not even going to bother til they go on sale unlinked. If I get a ticket I get one, if i don't I don't, but the chances are i'll get a ticket.

You say that, Pompey sold their tickets this morning in 3 hours. Ok they only had 4,500 to sell, but still. The demand will be there.

  3. The deals do not have to be announced by 5pm. Just completed.

There will be a few transfers being annouced later on this evening.

Loan deals can also be done untill March.
