Met with the Director of Sales and Chief Operating Officer on Wednesday. They back it and will work with me to put things in place. I will have a better idea once all available seats are released in July. In the meantime, anyone wanting to join should make use of the back row for now. As for the price difference, not sure how that will work - again, will probably have an answer in July Northam and Itchen North - keep up the good work. This initiative is aimed at: new ST holders, anyone looking for cheaper prices on their ticket and anyone who sits down the Chapel end already and fed up with the lack of atmosphere. Cheers.

The club have got back to me today. The tone of the email is supportive and they have invited me in to discuss this further with them: “As you rightly point out, we want to encourage like minded fans to sit together at St Marys and can work with those supporters to facilitate. It would be good to hear a bit further on your aims, numbers and discuss your thoughts on this.” I will post an update once I’ve spoken to them. As you rightly point out, we want to encourage like minded fans to sit together at St Marys and can work with those supporters to facilitate. It would be good to hear a bit further on your aims, numbers and discuss your thoughts on this.

Northam and itchen north is fine but not at £499 for me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have bothered starting this movement and would have just sat in the northam. Northam and Itchen North should continue to be the main standing areas aswell as offering a cheaper standing section in the itchen south/ chapel. It’s not going to be Brussia Dortmunds yellow wall but I don’t see how the club can have a problem with fans wanting to have a bit of a laugh and back the team. You get that at almost every football ground in the UK. Notts County’s kop is a good example. Few rows of singers at the back drive on the rest of the stand. Everyone gets involved, families, kids, adults, those who want to stand, those who can’t stand…

I agree it needs to be inclusive. regarding standing: it’s not illegal to stand in a football ground. The club need to realise that. We have organised ourselves at the back so that those who currently sit there can continue to do so regarding upsetting families: block 15 doesn’t have that many families as it’s so expensive for u18s there. we’d hope that this movement would be family inclusive. Anyone with small children who specifically doesn’t want to be in a noisy area should make use of the family section (block 19-24)

As the founder of this ‘movement’ I can confirm that a couple of groups have already bought season tickets in this section. Won’t happen overnight but is a good starting point to try and get people standing. I’m hoping the club get back to me today confirming their support of it. There is a separate thread on here called itchen south discussing this topic 👍

Back of Block 15/16 for anyone interested in a bit of atmosphere down the chapel / itchen south part of the ground. Seems to have generated some interest on twitter. We have the second highest season ticket prices for adults in the championship, excluding the itchen south price. Yet no one likes sitting there due to its lack of atmosphere.if you’re interested please follow @backofthechapel on twitter. If you aren’t - please ignore. thanks

Who is this Nordic Saint you speak of?

Looks like I'll be joining you there next season, although judging by this thread, it looks like there never will be an atmosphere down that end. I'll do my best. Hope some others follow suit.

It's such a weird dynamic. At St Mary's you effectively pay more to sit in a seat with an atmosphere. Or you can save your pennies and sit in the itchen south, where you get looked at weirdly for getting passionate about the team.

Haha I'm prepared for the worst. However, I can't really justify £595 season ticket in the Northam/ Itchen North, but £399 is a bit more reasonable. It seems a bit unfair that those in the kingsland north and itchen north pay more for what is the same veiw as the itchen south. Fairplay to the club I guess for making it so cheap, but wish it was a different section.

Evening. Next season, we ought to generate a bit of atmosphere in the Chapel/ Itchen South part of the ground, considering we shoot that way in the second half 90% of the time. A bit of passion and chanting has got to be worth a couple of points a season. There's currently several seats available towards the back of these blocks. Would anyone be interested in getting something going?
-
Try the back of block 15, cheapest solution and a decent veiw as well as the choice to stand without blocking anyones elses veiw.
-
With the increase in supply of £399 season tickets to block 15, and with the option to move your seat for free, why don't we get the back of block 14 and 15 standing and generating a bit of atmosphere for the chapel.

I used to be a season ticket holder at saints, now only go to every game that isn't in the premier league (Europa, EFL and FA cup this season), mainly due to cost, but also due to lack of atmosphere. On it's day, the Northam can be good, so too the Itchen North, but the views from these areas are poor, given that 99% of the time we shoot towards the Chapel second half. It seems odd that we can have 28K fans at wembley making as much noise as possible, but at home games only about 3k actually make any noise. Safe standing would help, but is still a long way off in the future, but why not have a section in the Chapel where fans stand and make noise?? There is plenty of room toward the back of the stand for season tickets (e.g block 15). It would only take a few to start it off.
