The Three Guineas Pub outside Reading station are screening the whole game so going to still make the short trip by train and watch the game there.
Got to be the first time any punter has ever made a trip of any sort of distance to be in the Three Guineas. That's commitment sir!

We'll beat Reading no issue.
I might take issue with the "no issue", but otherwise I have no issue with this.
We will win.

I always knew Reading away would be very difficult game no matter what the circumstances of both teams were on the day. Now I think its obvious we will lose this game. They have alot of things on their side. They have the New manager syndrome effect. Its a Sky TV match and we know recent history hasn't not been kind to us in front of their cameras. Also the worlds media will be there willing Reading to win, hoping karma has come to bite Cortese on the ass! The press will love it and call it justice! I'd love to be wrong though.
What about the worlds media wanting karma to come and bite the ass of another axe wielding Russian chairman with no compassion for getting rid of BM?

He will pick up a mystery virus 24 hours before KO to rule him out. No way he will want to finish his career with a defeat
-
Great gesture by Adkins to thank players and fans at Southampton. Makes the club not thanking him look even worse.
Spot on
-
Yep, agreed. Funny that their next home game, against Liverpool, sold out a while ago.
-
Plenty of tickets still available on their website and through the viagogo exchange. Just secured mine in the South Stand, so will be next to our fans at least
-
Paul Sturrock. You heard it here first. Just thrashing out a deal to allow him to be at Wembley with his old crew
-
Gavyn Davies. Ex Goldman Sachs, ex BBC chairman and still very much minted

Like most on here, no, no hatred of anyone other than skates. But seriously dislike:
- MK Dons
- Chelsea
- Reading
- Derby
- Brighton
In that order

Another player who saw the £££ instead of thinking about his career. He needs to leave there, but not sure we'll stump the money for him tbh.
A player full of desire and ambition to show what he can do on the pitch. Instead. Please
-
Providing they can fill them. I met one regular who told Cortese where to go when he put the prices up.
Quality is not what is used to be either (i mean the service, food, etc).

I don't disagree. However, I do believe that Poch took on a new team and did comparably with harder games...
Repeating my reply to you on the MYTH thread (one of the threads I said was a duplicate of this one):
When MP took over it was because he was better than NA. For him, the players are no longer finding their feet in the PL, there are not any new players bedding in with their team mates or in a new country, and they are not struggling (as much) with a new language. All they are dealing with is a new (apparently better) management team, with new (better) ideas, new (better) formations, and new (better) tactics. oh, and limited English.
-
So I guess you will come out now and say that we ARE playing better?
9 points out of 8 games is for sure better than 22 points from 22 games.....dont you think?
And as always you are saying things that isn´t true.
You will not find ONE post from me saying points don´t matter. But if the view as OP said is about playing (as in not looking at results) ,we have been playing much better under MP.
Points are important, but I have only talked about "in the long run", surely that could not have escaped you....
Recognise this?
"Therefore it is simpel (sic) mathematics that the more shots you produce, the more likely you will get more goals. And more likely through getting more goals, you will get more wins."
Which was wrong, as proved by your own later stats based on 300 games, but you don't admit it and now change tack yet again. Keep up please!
-
So you dont think teams that creates more chances (having more shots) are usually performing better than teams that are not?
And now we are talking of performance as in how the tem play, since that thread´s OP was about playing, not about gaining results.
Silly me for not thinking that goals come from out of the blue and thinking that chances has to be created to be able to score goals.....
By your admission on that thread your stats show you to be wrong more than 50% of the time. Most people will carry on measuring peformances by our results, and not by anything else
-
He´s probably talking about the "MYTH"-thread, you know the troll-infected one.
And since they think they were "winning" that one it´s no fun with another thread that is more positive....
Do you judge "winning" a thread (whatever that means) based on posts that are on topic, or some such other mystery stat, similar to your shots at goal measure of performance in games?
-
Oh, lol, that one. That was a joke thread wasn't it though? This one is serious.
Or this one, if you need more

why yet another thread on this?

Pubs closer to our ground. Public transport options better. Better colour scheme. The list goes on
-
But that makes little sense as McDermott got them up better than Adkins did.
Football club in crazy decision shocker
-
Our first XI is decent and if we can add strength in depth in the summer we can push on to be a midtable side next year.
Agreed, but only if we really push on and substantially increase our shots at goal stats
-
Take the point about current Reading financial clout and squad. But if NA believes he can get Leeds up - and of course this includes getting some spending commitment - they will be a much bigger force once up rather than Reading. Not the easy decision granted, but Reading can't fill the 24k stadium this season, which says a lot
-
They've got enough plastics to only give away teams 2500 or so. They've got season ticket holders in the other half of that stand this season.
There are still plenty of seats available in the home areas, including the half of the South Stand for Reading fans
-
Should take the Leeds job. They are a much bigger club, with a track record of success and have passionate, knowledgeable and committed fans, the very opposite of Reading
Looks like Adkins may be in charge of Reading by the time we get there
