"I know we're 6-0 down, Adam.........but if we can just get one back....."
-
I desperately tried to find this clip when researching a previous Total Saints Podcast - featuring Grant Coleman. Sadly, having spoken to a variety of people (including Adam Blackmore), it appears it has forever been 'lost', when Solent converted all their analogue data to digital some years back. It was such a great (and equally woeful!) memory/sound.... Out of interest, for anyone that hasn't heard it but might like to, you can hear me talking to Grant here (from roughly mid-January 2019). He reminisces on those memories working in and around Saints, and the South Coast, during the early-to-mid 90s. A top/lovely guy! Total Saints Podcast - Season 2019/20

Hi SKD Another member makes it a lot easier trying to remain consistent when holidays/unavailability etc. kick in for one (or more) of the Pod panel. Yes, we've done "AskAdam's" before, and I'd be happy to do another one soon. As you say, he can't always 'speculate' on some things. More than happy for any offline questions to be sent to totalsaintspodcast@yahoo.com and I'll sort something out. Thanks B -

Morning all, TSP are back for a brand new season – and we've got a new panel member as well! Alongside the TSP 'veterans' (myself, Adam Leitch and Steve Grant), we're delighted to welcome aboard Lucy Highnett, who joins the TSP Express ahead of another year of rollercoaster emotions watching Southampton FC. The first episode of the new campaign (TSP79) sees the group discuss a variety of things, including summer updates, pre-season progress, Saints Macau/China trip, the arrivals of Che Adams and Moussa Djenepo, the ‘return’ of Sofiane Boufal, Charlie Austin and Mario Lemina’s antics, the new Saints management structure, LD Sports and the TSP hopes/expectations for 2019/20 on the pitch. If you'd like to listen then you can via any of these links: Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2LKM1yr acast: https://bit.ly/2GLU9L9 iTunes: https://apple.co/2ykVvrm SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/32TgsrH Thanks, and look forward to another season of (hopefully) entertaining those who enjoy listening, Ben P.S. - I don't plan to keep flooding the thread each week with the Pod details, as some don't appreciate that. So, to try and counterbalance, Steve has popped an interim 'banner' at the top of this page, which will link anyone who wishes to listen straight over to our SoundCloud page.

Episode 78 (Markus Liebherr Tribute) - Total Saints Podcast

Thanks -
10 years ago today, on the 8th July 2009, Markus Liebherr saved Southampton FC. And what a ride its been since that moment! Sadly Markus hasn’t been here to enjoy all of it with us but, to help celebrate the 10th anniversary of his takeover, TSP78 is dedicated entirely to our hero. Ben (Host) kicks off the episode by speaking exclusively to Markus’ grandson, Noah Liebherr. Noah discusses his memories of Markus, and his own view of the Southampton journey since 2009. Following that, a handful of respected Saints-related guests - including Tiff Needell, Simon Peach and Joe Prince-Wright - also share their opinions and favourite memories from the last 10 years. Thanks SuperSAINT. Glad you enjoyed it and, as ever, appreciate the support/feedback. B -
TSP77 sees the greatest podcast episode that never happened (sort of), about the greatest kit launch that never happened (sort of)! Yes, it may be the off-season but Total Saints Podcast is still keeping busy. In this Episode Ben catches up with the man behind Black Shark Media, and Southampton FC's fabulous recent 2019-20 kit launch video, James Kibbey. Based on the infamous Fyre Festival, James discusses how the team came up with the idea of 'Saynts Festival' for this year's launch, the challenges around filming and also a potential BAFTA winning performance from Saints manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl! Our final Podcast of the season (TSP76) is out now, and includes an exclusive interview with Saints manager, Ralph Hasenhuttl. Alongside that we also discuss the Huddersfield game, what the summer could bring, and close off our Prediction League and Fantasy Premier League winners. If you'd like to listen to the Podcast episode, then its available via any of the following channels: acast: https://bit.ly/2VF2QjQ SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2Q4WQKT iTunes: https://apple.co/2IgVmMA Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2VEETJr Thanks to all at SaintsWeb for the support this season. This week Total Saints Podcast is ‘on the road’, as we record ‘live’ from the 5 Rivers Pub - pre-Huddersfield (so, apologies in advance for any dodgy sound issues!). I'm joined by TSP regular Steve, as well as Freddie from The Ugly Inside and Glen De La Cour (LeagueOneMinus10 Blog). We reflect on Season 2018-19, talk about some of our most memorable moments, discuss which (if any) of the current Southampton FC players out on loan should/will be given a second chance by Ralph Hasenhuttl next year and, finally, which areas of the squad we'd be urgently looking to strengthen this summer. If you'd like to listen to TSP75, you can via any of these sites/links: acast: https://bit.ly/30dWSox SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2JAbwk9 iTunes: https://apple.co/2IgVmMA Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2E3tp7g We'll be back with one more Podcast for the season, later this week, which will include an exclusive interview with Ralph Hasenhuttl. Thanks Ben

Don't worry, we don't spend long on the West Ham game - after what seemed an 'on the beach' performance from the lads! Thankfully, to give the Podcast some positivity, ex-Saint Dave Puckett pops in, alongside Will and Leon from Saints Archive, for our latest Total Recall. Amongst other things, Dave chats debuts, The Dell, Kevin Keegan and Alan Ball. The remainder of TSP74 sees us talking pre-season (yes, already!) and previews our last 2019/20 fixture, at home to Huddersfield Town next weekend. Should you wish to listen to the Podcast, then you can via these sites: acast: https://bit.ly/2rDv9gW iTunes: https://apple.co/2IgVmMA SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2GWgNzy Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2R0d0Ee We're nearly there - and a well-earned rest for everyone - thankfully! The Saints are staying up………and now you’ve got to believe us! Yep, in true Southampton style (i.e. an emotional roller coaster), the 3-3 draw against Bournemouth made sure Premier League football will remain at St. Mary’s next season. Episode 73 sees us look back on the key talking points from an end-to-end fixture, which saw an outpouring of relief at full-time! Alongside that, Shane Long’s record-breaking goal, and a bizarre half-time featuring John Barnes, at Watford also feature, as well as a preview of next weekend’s game against West Ham United. Itunes: https://apple.co/2IgVmMA SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2PBcZYc acast: https://bit.ly/2XRpNNd Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2VxoDsD Thanks as always to those that take the time to listen to our ramblings, UTS

A disappointing result for Saints this weekend, up at Newcastle, but Ben, Steve and Adam (who were all at St. James Park) try (as ever!) to constructively talk through the key points - not least Mario Lemina's return to action, and also James "the wall" Ward-Prowse! Alongside that Adam tells us a little more about new Chief Scout, Martyn Glover, Steve talks 2019/20 season ticket prices and we preview both upcoming games against Watford and Bournemouth. Flip Flops? Check! Suncream? Check! Premier League safety? Almost check....! Episode 71 is out now, and includes a look back at the win over Wolves, Adam talks in depth about the departure of Ralph Krueger, Saints Archive join us for the latest Total Recall (vs Inter Milan, November 2016) and, finally, a preview of next weekend's game at Newcastle United. With the Pod in even better spirits than normal, should you wish to listen to it then here are the links: iTunes: https://apple.co/2IgVmMA SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2P9IGYF acast: https://bit.ly/2rDv9gW Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2R0d0Ee Thanks B

While the result was disappointing for Saints (against Liverpool) the performance wasn't! Again the team showed many positives for the longer term, by more than competing for the majority of the 90 minutes. Episode 70 of TSP sees Ben, Adam and Steve chat through the key talking points from Friday night - including what time Steve got home from PopWorld post-match (more Saturday morning that one....!), Shane Long scoring his 50th Premier League goal and the amount of away fans in and around the home parts of St. Mary's. There is also a chat with a TSP Patreon of ours, Alex Hart, and a preview of the Wolverhampton Wanderers fixture. If you'd like to listen to TSP70 then you can here: * SoundCloud: https://bit.ly/2UDvMHs * Spotify: https://spoti.fi/2U1cIhR * acast: https://bit.ly/2TX4NCp * iTunes: https://apple.co/2OuQJys As ever we try to approach it all with a mixture of constructiveness, humour and realism. Thanks Ben
