  1. A loan move hell yes what's not to like about this. Excellent technical player fits right into the style of play we are trying to implement. Also gives us that little bit extra prem experience.

  2. There was an interesting little story regarding medicals on SSN the other day, it showed what actually happens in the whole process.

You have MRI scans, heart scans, breathing tests as well as your joints. You get all sorts of weird and wonderful injections and blood tests, and medicals are often conducted in separate parts as well - but I imagine we're doing this all in one at Bologna.

They also said on Sky that no medical is always 100%, it's up to the doctors to then present evidence to the club on their current condition and if the signing would present a long-term risk. Short-term problems would often be ignored.

I watched this as well, very interesting & when investing this amount of money on a player you can't be to careful.

if true & medical taking place then looks like deal is done & just waiting for medics to give the ok to complete. Having said that the way this saga has gone anything is possible & I won't believe it until its on the OS.

  3. I really don't see Liverpool coming in for Ramirez unless they can offload the likes of Downing & Carrol. They may want to, but they surely must need to get some players off their wage bill. They were only talking about this on sky this morning. More mind games from Balogna.

  4. There appears to be interest from Villa, but as Ricky is in his 1st season in the prem I'd be surprised if he wanted to leave.

He is comfortable here has the full support of the manager & fans and is under little pressure. If he went for a fee of 4/5 million he'd be under intense pressure to perform. I just wonder if that sort of fee was offered would we be interested? I'd hope not but who knows.

  5. Surely we are looking to change the way we play formation wise?

The way I see it we are looking to go more towards the Man City/ Barca style of quick paced quick feet quick of thought player.

With a front three who are not rigid but move all over the pitch and are comfortable doing it. With Mayuka in & looking as though Ramirez then with either one of Ricky, Sharp & long term Rodriguez then we have that IMHO. What is not to be happy about that? Ricky doesn't need speed he seems drift around easily. Rodriguez is Ricky's long term replacement. Sharp gives you the poachers instinct impact sub for me.

Yes we all know that we need to sort out the defence I'm sure that come Friday we will have that in place. But that it for a different thread.

Once again welcome aboard Mayuka good signing for me. He is what we've been crying out for.

So we sort out a problem area & still people moan go figure!

  6. Well have to admit I voted no I didn't think it would happen, but it's looked ever increasingly likely to happen as the weeks gone on. As it appears that we we were the only show in town. Looks as if this has played in our favour & with our need for wingers coupled with Balognas need for cash it looks as if we've reached agreement if tweets are to be believed.

Lets get this done then get some CB's in as well.

  7. Oh dear Miltonroader07 epic fail, I thought Gully had an excellent game today ran his heart out never gave anything up & his touches in and around the box at the end were very good. This against a top top side lets not forget.

I'd be happy if he plays this badly all season.

  8. Just has to be Clyne for me put in an outstanding performance. Good defensively threatening going forward composed on the ball all round looks like we've got a real class player.

I think Gully deserves a big mention as well I thought he was immense up front on his own ran his heart out today.
