  1. Used to post on here a lot, but not anymore respectively.

Just wanted to say, I was surprised to see Pochettino at the game, let alone Nicola Cortese. Now that's dedication.

Tried over hearing a convo with JT and someone in the crowd when he came off, but all I heard was that Sinclair was a good cook, and Reeves is on trial somewhere.

Cracking game, great goal by Isgrove and Rowe was it in the second half? #11?

I've still got all your bewbs in my inbox. Ahh, the halcyon days of Saintsweb.

  2. Just got back from the festival. It was good to be back, definitely. Saw some cracking sets, but these in particular stood out;

Half Moon Run - The Park (Friday afternoon)

Local Natives - John Peel Stage (Friday afternoon)

Major Lazer - West Holts (Saturday evening)

Hollie Cook - Gully (Sunday evening)

Phoenix - John Peel Stage (Sunday evening)

Watched Major Lazer online, looked like a lot of fun. Savages sounded amazing on the tv, will definitely be seeing them at Bestival.

  3. To be fair, Patricia Crosby was a good borderline boiler submission.

Thanks for steering this bad boy back on topic, Bear!

I always thnk I would do Karen Brady, then I see a picture of her and change my mind. Then I forget what she looks like, and think about doing her again. It's a vicious sexy circle.

  4. Call me a bedwetter all you like guys but this Lovren bloke does not fill me at all with confidence and/or joy. I've watched enough videos and read about him quite a bit over the past 3-4 hours (yes I'm bored!) and he looks average-good at best. Error-prone to say the least. Certainly no Astori who's in a different class IMO.

Also looking like we totally overpaid for him. Something like £8m?? Not worth more than two Forrens surely! On the subject of Forren, wasn't he supposed to be first choice next season?? Now with Yoshida a shoo-in in the first XI the other CB position already had strong competition prior to Lovren and IMO we did not need to sign another... or at least not break the bank for a full international when a lower league player (or academy product) would of been more than good enough backup!

Also, weren't we good enough defensively under MP towards the end of last season that we didn't need to improve substantially in defence? It was our GOALS FOR column that needed improving and that is where our funds should of been focused IMO. This £8m or whatever it was will almost certainly put a dent in our ability to purchase top quality where we need it the most (forward, winger). A shame, for me.

Decent enough signing overall I guess and glad we showed we can compete with the big boys financially and in attracting players... but all things considered I'm left with a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth.

Just can't help thinking we could of done so much better.

I agree with you completely. I feel ill just thinking about this signing.

  5. I was guessing the address might be the actual address of someone from the Big Finish team who once lived in Totton, that helped set up the company and was directly responsible for keeping Doctor Who going with the audio plays during the TV wilderness years. That is just a guess though, I may well be completely wrong.

Ah yes! Could be a Bill Baggs reference?

  6. Phil, you say this every week about Once Upon A Time.

"Hey wow! Far out! Writers must really be on some serious stuff".

All they're doing is using established characters in a contemporary setting. Sci-fi and fantasy is littered with this sort of caper; most of Neil Gaiman's stuff pulls in characters from all over myth and literature. Shrek used classic fairy tale characters with modern sensibilities.

To your question then, what have they been smoking? I'd suggest cigarettes. The show's concept could be written on the back of a fag box :)

I was going to write this, but you've saved me the bother.

  7.

Le Tiss' book was horrible. It was amusing in places, but extremely poorly written and almost a bit, er, basic!?

    .

Le Tiss's was a shocker, it read like it was written by Alan Partridge.

"Needless to say I had the last laugh...", "That reminds of another incident..." all the way through.

It's like a parody of an autobiography.

  8. Fantastic player, always a favourite of mine... and always sensed a greater goal threat whenever he was brought on late on when we were chasing a game.

See Saint Charlie, instead of b*tching about who "stole my idea" (an uber-creative, extremely original, groundbreaking, earth-shattering idea nonetheless) I merely responded to the ongoing thread with my thoughts on a player, and moved on.

Stop crying over spilt milk ffs. Honestly some folks like yourself and Dig Dig need to grow up and stop taking life so seriously.

You are like a little stain on this forum. St Charlie is a hero for what he's done.

    P.s Tessem was quite good.
