Fox has made some gaff's this season but generally has done OK going forwards. Dont think there are any defenders of ours this season that havent made any gaffs though.
Fox has also been injured so prob why he didnt last the 90 mjins yesterday. Reeves came on and did OK I thought. He seemed to be fairly high up the pitch at times and I thought he was going to get caught out leaving Lennon so much space but it didnt happen.
Shaw has been injured too but I reckon he would of got a break before Reeves would had he been fit. He was sat up with the players that didnt play in the directors bit. Lee, Seaborne, DeRidder and Shaw and a few others were all there at the start.

this is the worrying bit...some of my lengthier rants take an hour to put together.
Some pages can take twenty minutes to read...
Add up the hours and I have lost literally months of my life in here.
And I say in here as the main board is far less civilised, and the last time I actually commented on something Saints-related I was politely asked what I was doing outside the lounge.
I find that the main board has less quality humour and more saint-on-saint vitriol, whereas this thread is a cosy but downmarket gentleman's club, and an all things pompey news portal and research centre.
Nice armchairs, not much of a dress code, 24/7 access to world news on money-laundering and arms dealing, all supplied by a better class of internet timewaster.
So this is a safe place, you can pop in and have a laugh with friends and mock the worse off - it's Cheers with an edge.
But you have to know the demons within and control them, quality over quantity isn't just a mad Lampitt idea, it's a coping mechanism for addiction to skate-bashing.
Avram doesn't go to Horton Heath, Peter Sutcliffe doesn't pick up hitchhikers, Rallyboy doesn't pay his fiver.
He needs to retain some of his life in the real world, and restricting himself to three posts does that.
And I've started talking about him in the 3rd person, which is worrying, he has taken on his own identity, he is a nutjob within a nutjob.
Roll on the PTS social event - I look forward to putting faces to names.
And so does he.
The 2,000 pages party?
Or I quite fancy 1885 as a page number to celebrate.
The 1885 League of Nutjobs....the book that pompey's first goalkeeper refused to write, he was too busy looking for fairies on his compost heap.
Youve got that down to a T! Something with Pompey in thats a nicer place to visit kinda makes me be a little bit sick in my mouth though.

Someone's been to the Pompey school of accounting....
Dam copy and paste!!!! somehoe missed off your magnificent number and must of moved everyone elses numbers up one!!!!

By all means: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/misc.php?do=whoposted&t=14620
Trousers is, as one might expect, King of the Nutjobs with a stonking 3,354 posts.
First Lord of the Nutjobs status must go to rallyboy though, for both the quality of his posts (he has learned well from Pompey's own quality not quantity approach) and the fact that, as a registered user, he can only post three times a day, making 1,421 posts quite an achievement.
Speaking as a humble foot soldier Nutjob, with a mere 446 posts in this thread to my name, I can only salute those whose post counts register in the thousands...
Actually, make that 447.
yeah Im just outside the top 20 so stopped there. ;o)

Well done nut jobs on all your hard work to get to today's figure.
Can we have a league table of posts per user from someone who knows how to do that sort if thing? Haven't had one of them for a while.

Sure Birch must be watching this thread and saying "I will wait till the PTS thread gets over page 1500 and 75,000 posts before I announce anything, that will show them!"
Best help it along then.

Ryan was the best player on the pitch in the pre-season game against Exeter. Really encourages the youngens too. Despite not being in the 1st team frame on the pitch it looks like he is putting the right effort in and is a good influence. Fitness would be the only part I would say he was lacking. Seemed to be blowing a fair bit even in the first half. Still managed to run his guts out second half and get 2 assists though.
I think its fair to say the club dont see him in the first team and will carry on paying him a wage until someone else tempts him away. The club dont have to help that situation along and as with Puncheon if a bad attitude has anything to do with it then he will drop even further away from the first team.

I thought some of the positivity in the first half was due to some seriously rose tinted glasses. We looked like a league 1 team against the prem champions at times and I thought we could do better. Never for 1 minute did I think we could beat Man City or play like Barcalona. But I knew we could play better than we were and I was frustrated with what I was seeing.
JRod was lost out of position and Guly is no target man as he cant hold onto the ball on his own when up against such class defence. The changes produced a performance that far exceeded what I thought we were capable of against such a good squad. We showed the type of football we are capable of and scored 2 goals against the prems best that made themselves look lost at times.
Rickie caused trouble as the target man and that brought Guly into the game, Davis in the middle gave a bit of bite that Ward-Prowse is yet to learn and the whole team lost some of the sloppyness in the passing from the first half. Fox will be kicking himself for his header and I doubt he will be making the same mistake any time soon and I doubt we will be on the wrong side of too many wrong off side decissions but both of those show the small margins we now have to deal with. In the Championship you could maybe have 3 or 4 mistakes and get punished for 1. In the prem 1 mistake is enough to get punished. can our defence learn that lesson quickly? Or will we be adding some real quality to the back line? Man U pinching the LB we were after shows the level of quality we are trying to get so on a whole I am really pleased with where we are going.
Plenty of mixed feelings yesterday but I can see a really bright future without possible targets, so if we manage to bring in one or two players that we are after then I think we can do fantasticly well compared to what most of us probably expect.
If we can learn from that and take the positives into the following games then I fancy us to give most teams a run for thier money.

Just been blocked by that ****c()nt Neil Allen after tweeting him once. What an absolute **** he is.
He blocked me when I said the club was shameless when it went on about pre-season trips abroad when its fleaced so many. He doesnt like a ballenced argument does he?
-
You're not alone; I suspect Birchy is starting to have the same trouble if he thinks the -10 wont stand. Or it was a Freudian slip that he thinks the club is about to be wound up.
Ah of course, cant doc points off a club that has gone pop!!!

This. People think its for the act of exiting ADMIN2 itself but that just happens to be the moment in time that the football league declare that CVA1 hasn't been honoured.
On that basis getting a new CVA agreed that effectivly fails the previous CVA is meaningless while the club remain in Admin as the new CVA doesnt take effect until they exit Admin. So the FL cant realy argue the points to start at the beginining of the season. But I cant see how the club can argue the points shouldnt stand at all when the new CVA starts and basically bin's the previous CVA. Unless a new CVA has been drawn up to include the previous CVA at 100% of its worth?
Im starting to get confused as to which Admins they have had points for and which ones they havent!!!!

Haha trousers gets my vote.
Im not on here enough anymore to check reply's to my posts so no point in offering to monitor everyone else's.
Good luck to the chosen one or two.

Personally I don't like the home page, too dark and item at the top of page too large. If they were to make the homepage more like the layout when you go onto the news page, then perhaps more appealing to me, but just a personal choice of mine. Think that is what I will set as my default when logging on.
I thought I would give the news page a go as that has always been my default page. It only took 26 seconds to load!!! It does look better than the home page for sure but by todays standards its still a pile of sh*te for performance.
I dont usually like Mobile versions so usually go for full site when im on my phone. Anyone who try's it with the OS will soon form a similar opinion to me. I always thought that you make stuff to work on the crappyest bits of kit you can rather than assume everyone has blade servers running under their desks. hey ho, if they freeze people out then there will be less people who see their constant push to sell saints player and so on. Good marketing ploy that!
-
If they manage to start and finish the season and end up relegated....... would there be another dose of parachute payments that BC will be happy to hoover up?
-
I used to have it as one of my home pages but taken it off now. Looks nice if you like pictures but I tend to go to the OS for info and that seems to be hidden away a little now. Sure there are a few teathing problems but its the general view and feel thats put me off. Most of the time I view the OS on my phone when I am waiting for a program to load or a download to finish. Ive always prefered to view the full desktop site on my phone which is now almost impossible.
So for me its been binned and I will rarely go and look. I wonder if there will be enough of a decrease in hits for the powers that be to notice? Doubt it as Im sure there will be as many liking the change as there are that dont.
Plenty of other ways to get news, its just a shame that the official site will be one of the last places I go.

We only owed Barclays and Aviva' date=' everyone else was paid. Repayments for 8 years at just under 2mil a year before the axe fell + the 10 mil that ML paid and yes part of the agreement with aviva was another 4 mil would be paid if we got back to the prem inside 5 years... guess its kinda of nice to know ML was happy to sign up to the additional repayment, and honour it, but not unsurprizing given the moral and ethical way he ran his businesses - all round great man who is sadly missed.[/quote']
Ah so it was only an extra £4 mil ontop of what had already been paid back. I guess if we had still owed much of the initial loan then AVIVA may have tried to bargain for more but when you think of how much was already paid back they may of just wanted to make sure they were as little out of pocket as possible. I would of thougt Barclays would of been paid in full too as it was only a small amount.
Still feel pretty good about the fact that going forward we have not left a huge amount of unaid debt behind.
For pompey to do the same or similar I would of thought all football debts would need to be paid in full, along with all small business's and charity's, staff and the only person to lose out on paper would be Chainrai seeing as his debt is possibly added up by AA's school of mathmatics. So what he actually has put in may not be what he is actually claiming.
Its ironic that he seems to be the only one that thinks he will get anything back at all though.
-
SFC had already paid close to 16mil in interest and capital repayment + approx 10 mil form Liebherr after the takeover + another 4mil as we have returned to the prem - see that was factored into the compromise so total stadium loan was around 28mil' date=' total paid back in 12 years 30mil[/b'] so although they have lost a bit of interest, I think that puts it a little more into perspective that 0.4p on the pound your creditors are getting -
...why is it that no one from Pompey wants to make a feckin stand and claim their club back properly, and get back some morality and pride back into the club, even if it means playing kids in L2 for several years?
... So Pompey new new co will storm the league with a gate of 8000.... so tell me if its so easy, how come other clubs with more fans, better infrastructure etc have struggled to get out that league? Could it be more realistic transfer and wage budgets in line with revenue?
Is that true? Genuine question as I had not seen that anywhere before?
It so I am even prouder about my club, The Admin was pretty hard to take even when it was over reasonably small sums compared to others, if we did a deal that actually took care of our creditors should we rise through the leagues but helped us should we faulter then thats alot of back scratching and should leave us with a very good name.
To get back in the prem knowing we have done our best to satisfy those that may have lost money as opposed to wiping 98% of debt and fleacing local small bussiness' is a huge thing and well done to those involved.
-
... so lets say the Trust get the nod... what chance do they then have of the '3000' actually stumping up the full grand?
EDIT darn was beaten to it....
Wasnt it said that someone missed his mortage payment so he could pledge not once, not twice, but THREE times?
If he missed a very important payment to pledge £300 where does he expect to find the other £2700? I wondow how many others have also pledged without actually thinking how they plan to pay the remainder?
-
Oh Please Santa.....I've been very good
Didnt 2 of those 3 players sign their over paid contracts while Chainrai/portpin were last in charge? So effectively he is apologising for his mistake and now wants the players to pay for it?
I wonder why they don't want to budge?

Some of my grandfathers distant relatives were killed in that war, so please don't please mention it again. It's upsetting and I'm going to have a lie down. You may not hear from me for a while...
There have been people on here trying to get you to shut up for years!!!! I didn't realise it would be so easy. ;-)

Why would I want to visit a place dedicated to a horrible event that I am fed up with hearing about.?
Throughout history men have done nasty things to others in war as well as without war being declared.
I am really peed off with Israel claiming that their sad loss is the most important and no one elses
is anywhere as near as being so bad and that as a victim they are more of a victim than anybody else.
They themselves are nothing like as innocent as they try to claim, they even attack their own allies.
Israel bombed a U.S. ship in the Med killing several crew even though that ship was well marked as a U.S.ship
and they had the nerve to say they thought it was Egyptian.
I better shut up now or else I will get really into my stride. I USED to have every sympathy with Israel but
the older and wiser I have become my attitude has been radically changed by facts.
To keep it on topic I used to have a soft spot for Portsmouth FC but now.........
Not putting a damper on any particular terrible event but I read yesterday that ghengis khan's army killed over 1.5 million people in 1 hour in a war that was going on. Obviously a big difference in the way people live back then and more recent history but 1.5 Million!!!!

My money is on Neil explaining to us that Appleton was going with a 'development squad'. Now having played at Aldershot I can confirm it is neither built on a gravel pit or an amazing footballing surface - perhaps he will use this as his Goldilocks excuse.
I think I must of asked Neil a reasonable question as it appears he has now blocked me. I honestly havent even tried to wind him up!!!

Remember the saying something along the lines that if every monkey was given a keyboard eventually
they would write a Shakespere play? Well Corp in all of his ramblings was actually almost 100% correct ONCE.
"For the record I don't believe you'll go out of business. I'm sure someone will come in and buy you before your deadline passes.
Might not be Paul Allen but at least some joker (probably Roops) will bail you out. I'm also aware before anyone points it out that
Pompey could very easily find themselves in the same boat again."
Sorry but I had to point that bit out as it makes the rest of his rubbish even more cringeworthy.
Think that was actually tried and possibly at the zoo I work at if I remember right, the book was released and its absolute jibberish
-
Prepare to laugh...
have they, I had no idea.
Didnt they do similar to a vote we had once? Think it was for a shirt and they were voting for the nasty one. As they go for the quality over quantity approach with everything down there, the small number of bestest fans that could figure out how to use a computer were out numbered by our lot who voted a decent shirt through anyway I think?
Another Who the F@#* is laughing now moment it seems.....
That has to make it on the nutjob t-shirt.
