People don't half get upset over some harmless fun!
It may be harmless fun but it's weird, abnormal behaviour for a fully grown adult. If you walked past someone in the street frantically clapping along to someone dancing in a dog costume, you'd give them a wide berth.

I saw him at the Sheff Weds cup game with his sons and Le Tiss.

Luuuuuukkkkkkkeee
Don't even get me f*cking started on that.

This has got to be a wind up, surely nobody can take themselves this seriously. It's a man dressed as a dog dancing like an idiot whilst half the fans were casually clapping along and occasionally laughing. The way some of you are going on about it you'd think it was like kids at a Punch and Judy Show.
Just for the record, THIS is an embarassment to football, not a dancing mascot at HT.
I have never seen so many astounded/excited adults in one place. You would've thought Mila Kunis was on the pitch waving her snatch about. People were working themselves up into a frenzy. It was almost an anti-climax for most when the players returned to the pitch, I'm surprised there wasn't a collective sigh when the 2nd half kicked off.
Truly ashamed that they are my fellow fans.

Really? it got to you that much!! I think the booing of Guly is far more embarrassing.
God some of you guys are so f*cking uptight, it beggars belief!!
A little bit of my love for football died that night.

Not if you're going to Germany. You wouldn't be able to get full use out of it...

As long as it doesn't affect the price of my subscription to 'Animal Farm' then I don't care.

You can have mine for £150?

Not a **** gaston ramirez?
Stick to the Lambert theme, please.

There was a round of applause after the first time it caught on.
B*gger, must've missed that. I love giving myself a pat on the back for singing a football song.
-
I was literally sat in my seat with my head in my hands whilst this atrocity was occurring on the pitch.
80% of the ground stood up, many of them fully grown adults going wild for a man wearing a dog costume dancing like a mong, clapping and cheering away like it was the best thing they've ever seen. Then as the players came back out, 3 of the stands sat back down and resumed their usual silence. Quite unbelievable, even for our embarrassing supporters.
-
I still keep laughing at this. What a classic.
I was slightly disappointed though that we didn't give ourselves a round of applause like we normally do when we come up with a 'witty' chant.
What can we sing to Suarez on Saturday? 'You're just a racist Rickie Lambert'? LOL

I always thought 1st and 2nd qualified since it's been the Champions League. Please forgive me.
C*ck
I will leave this thread for you schoolkids.
You mean leave it for those who are far more knowledgeable than yourself?

Read on, TCM. 42 years; all the way up to and including season 1996-97.
I thought you'd finished, I would've got away with it as well with my well timed edit if you hadn't quoted me.
-
Only for a few years.
Few years/40 odd years. They're basically the same thing.
-
Looks like 1993-94 was just for Champions too.
So for around 40 years of it's 57 year history, it was only open to the Champions of their respective nation? Weird, aintforever said that wasn't the case.
-
It hasn't ever been just for Champions.
Errrr... yes it was. It was only like that for around 40 years.
-
But if this proposals come into place it would make it possible for smaller club's to qualify.
But that could never happen because it hasn't before apparently. Football never changes.
The new proposals would not be the 'Champions League' though. It would be the 'Finish In The Top Half Of The League League'

Such a Dell sized mentality, didn't they say man would never climb Everest?
Plenty have died trying...

At London Bridge it is 265 metres wide, so could fit 2 football pitches end to end and have some space. In any case I was envisaging a platform being built out into the Thames with the megastadium built on top of it. River traffic should not be impacted and there would be mooring berths for the super rich and famous pals of Saggy to tie up their yachts while the matches were taking place. I don't think the suggestion is any more ridiculous than trying to build a stadium in Portsmouth Dockyard to incorporate the IW Ferry terminal :-)
It may even be possible to incorporate a petting zoo.
The stadium has to be floating. Building a platform out into the Thames isn't far fetched enough.

Don't be silly. We could never qualify for the Champions League because we never have before, or something like that.
Outside the giants of English football, only Everton have qualified for the CL in the modern era, without significant investment to get them there. They crashed out in the qualifying round and never made the group stage proper... they haven't got anywhere near since.
Also, this new proposal would be the death of European football. There are already too many teams making up the numbers in the 'Champions' League and crowds this season have been pretty poor.

Im surprised some of your mong mates didn't record your pasting and stick it on youtube. Did you beg them not too as it would confirm the well known rumour that you get bullied by the squadies in the Foresters Arms? Paying for their drinks for them and letting them **** the local birds you can only w*nk over.
Haha. Nearly went in the Foresters at the weekend. Got too scared in the end though and walked on by.

You could go dressed as Teletubbies. OB would have a real hard time then.
That would only work if there were other Saints fans around, there weren't at this time. They were all on the travel club by this point, sipping on their hot chocolates.
-
Can see them both being draws. Would prefer a QPR win though, with our run in we should be looking to pull away from them and gain on the teams above us. 3 of our 4 next games are very, very winnable.
I am off on holiday in February I think

My old man works there. He said it's really windy and cold, so I would cover your dignity with a leaf or something. Wouldn't want to embarrass yourself.
