I thought both Lyanco and Salisu did well when they had to play at fullback today but also felt it was quite clear neither of them can pass well from that part of the pitch. I think if you can bring in a fullback at a reasonable price you make that deal 100%.

Apparently he has a really shitty attitude and it’s why Roma want to get rid of him 

Doku is a former wonder-kid (although he is still 20) and a few years ago looked like he had the potential to be a world class winger. He doesn’t have the goal contributions but he is absolutely rapid and one of the best ball carriers in all of Europe. He’d be an immediate upgrade on the right side IMO. Although he would only fit in a formation that uses out and out wingers 

So if he’s arriving tomorrow then he’s not one of the 2 players there today - starting to think that’s a BS rumour 

Putting two and two together, Keane is probably not one of the two players at the club today if there’s still been pushback from Everton

I watch a lot of Lille as I am Canadian and watch Jonathan David and I have to say I’m usually very impressed with Tim Weah and his ability to create. He doesn’t particularly get a lot of opportunity to play but when he does come on he creates a lot of havoc. He looked really good in the first half vs Wales and his goal was a great finish. Probably would be available for under £15M

Absolutely need to get 1 and 2 in January, then I’d target a veteran CM if the price is right 

Feels like beating a dead horse at this point but with a more clinical forward up front with Che we might have had a different result today. 

Not going to be many young strikers available for a price we can afford in January

Noah Okafor (22) with Salzburg is a shout and he’s been good this season but with Sesko leaving RB Salzburg next summer I think they will want to keep Okafor around. 

Ballard, Morgan and Payne all in first team training this week, think there might’ve been another youngster as well

James Bree is a pretty good attacking wingback (relative to the Championship). That’s honestly about it and speaks volumes to the sort of squads he has worked with in Luton

I was coming here to comment the same thing! I wouldn’t want him to be our “marquee” signing but he’s a quality player with the ability to make the opposing CBs struggle and is destined a Top 5 league move soon enough

I’d imagine there are treated as player-coaches and as way to phase them into coaches + an extra player that is probably around the level of U21 play 

Not a personal favourite or pick of mine but just throwing Lee Carsley‘s name out there based off a few things. He has worked Rasmus Ankersen in the past, being promoted to manager of Brentford by the Dane before Dean Smith was ready to take charge. He’s also worked with Joe Shields in the past as Carsley was City’s U18 coach awhile back when they won the youth FA cup and U18 PL North Division. Lastly Carsley was hired by Matt Crocker when he was with the FA to work as coach with the U15-U21 levels. He also has a long history of being able to work with youth and currently is England’s U21 manager. 

Any chance we could break Danny Rohl’s contract with the DFB?

Assuming Ankersen is calling the shots on Ralph’s situation I would assume we do have a list of potential targets but at the moment haven’t stepped up interest in anyone. That would follow suit with the Athletic article saying we are keeping relationships with potential managers
