Or we travelled all that way. Found a proper old boozer with no other Saints fans in it and enjoyed the hospitality of the locals. Went to the match, watched Saints go 2-0 up against a team that had already been relegated in a boring half of football from an away end that as others have said was poor. Decided to carry on enjoying our day out and make the most of it by going back to the pub where we were warmly welcomed back and enjoyed some live music. Different strokes for different folks... Anyway, was a cracking away trip and Saints also won 😜

We were in the Upper and went outside at half time. The 'lads' were a group of 30 odd yokels in snide Burberry and Stone Island stood behind a very small barrier. Chanting rubbish like you're seen "Southampton, now fuck off home" to the Wednesday supporters leaving. We binned the game off at halftime as the Irish pub we were in pre match had a live music session and we wanted to watch/listen to that instead. What was amazing is how the 30 odd 'lads' could not move the barrier between them. I moved it very easily and myself and my mate causally strolled out past the stewards and old bill and made our way back to the boozer. I won't bore you with my opinons on that James Bree song.

I am heartbroken. I was proud to call Elijah a friend. He was a sound lad who had a promising career ahead of him. He loved football and Southampton FC. Done many away trips with him including Newcastle and his three hour train quiz! Affectionally known as Top Boy after his first trip to Fratton. RIP Mush. Wait for us on the other side. RIP Top Boy
