Saints have played some brilliant football and for once attacking. Let's hope Millwall was a blip and a win tomorrow. Wonder if there will be any budget for Jan window or is it work with what you have. Easy game at Charlton but the players still did a very good performance that was actually real football. Tonda needs to get the team playing solid football with or without Scienza

Diabolical, what on earth was that band at end, did they go into the local motel and see if anyone not doing anything today. -

On paper England should end up top group. If they cant cruise passed these teams then struggle to get a SF place. Its a shame Russell Martin wasn't England manager as be interesting to see how far possession football can get in WC26. -

They won't make out the changing room let alone the group. -

Fifa's big idea is to set up the best chance of blockbuster ties in the latter stages of the World Cup. So for the first time it is giving special seeding status to the top four in the world rankings - Spain, Argentina, France and England. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c997y4l20jgo -

England will get Scotland, Panama and Cape Verde an easy group. Some pundit on England last game said if Kane not available there isn't another striker to replace him. No wonder Saints are struggling to find a striker, looks like they don't make them anymore. -
Let's hope Saints play in Scienza plus mode and not Russell Martin plus. These are our football options, one is high attack the other high risk.

Average points to make playoffs is 73. So a winning run of 17 games would get us there. Starting v Birmingham.

Joe Aribo - Official: Loaned to Leicester
die Mannyschaft replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
I thought he was injured when he came on. It could be in his contract that he must play a certain amount of games. -
Russ Ball relies on opponents being as slow as we are when doing this tactic. It needs space and time do compare all the pointless passing. The amount of times we give the ball away, lose 2nd ball and misplace passes is the main issue. Saints need to play a much higher line so the lose balls are contested in midfield not in our 6 yard box. The refs, lino have also helped us out so lucks going to run out with officials soon so need to pickup on intensity.

Would we have won the league with Ramsdale and Onuachu?
die Mannyschaft replied to SaintsRoyalty's topic in The Saints
No. Ramsdale wouldn't play in championship that's why he left, we couldn't afford to keep him anyway. TP wouldn't survive the championship level, too aggressive a leaque, and he hasn't got the consistency week in week out. Can you imagine TP playing v Millwall!! The players that left didn't want to hang around in championship. -
Saints supoort home is far better than Pompey over the years and that's undisputed. Saints away also mut now be better especially in seasons when not playing well or relegated seasons.
-
Also why on earth are we constantly passing back across our own box to Bazunu? Eventually after the 10th time a mistake will happen. Poor coaching, basic defending starts with kicking ball away from our goal not too it

I would prefer to have a manager that doesn't use possession football in an important game. Some of the football was just nonsense at Millwall. We won't appointment an old school type manager so I fully expect another possession based modern manager who ever it is. I can see why St Mary's has gone quieter and its not going to change in next 4 seasons if coaches continue to havd the goalkeeper as thd starting point for playing out the back.
-
Need to develop a plan B that works without Scienza and anyone else out. We cant play like the Millwall game again. Keeping hold of the ball doesn't work anymore unless your main objective is avoiding relegation and need a point vs a decent team. We shouldn't be doing that in a promotion chase. Playing with 10 men doesn't help either.
-
If Scienza isn't playing we won't win. So going for a 1-1 draw. -sit back and invite pressure from Birmingham -Not a physical team -Can't work out that in added time teams really good for a goal. -no real backup from subs and just messes up the flow of play and any formation we have. Scienza plays then we move as a unit out of our half and midfield is not left open and overrun. The who team evolves around one player in option 1. There is no option 2 at the moment just revert to RM ball. Birmingham are similar to us as let in as many goals as score so on paper another winable game, but in practice!
-
West were their original rivals as West ham were not at the ground they are at now. Great atmosphere as always in non bowl type grounds. The Dell used to be very good but now St Mary's has just dropped off the noise level.
-
We cant play the way for two halves which is another major issue. The subs always have us ease off the pace and implement more side and back stuff. Saints need to stick to positive forward moving football all 97 mins. Otherwise half the games left this season will be like Millwall. Millwall played the same game why cant we do that even if its a cut down version. There will be more suspensions and injuries so how will we cope then?
-
We have 2 non league players. How do they get on the pitch?
-
QPR, Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday were easy games against bottom 10 teams. Any team fast and physically fit we will lose to. We cant defend everyone knows that but add in being very slow and cant compete for second or even first ball and you get what happened today at millwall
-
21 shots so 3 or 5 are going to go in. We don't have a battling midfield and no defence. WBA, Birmingham, Coventry, Stoke and Boro will tear out team apart. We need to stop playing RM football at back. Get out of our own half.
-
Charlton game made us look top 4, but we are a one man team. Subs are terrible I thought we were playing with 8 at one stage
-
Subs complete waste of time, lost us the game
