I didn't get 50 meters from my city centre hotel wearing my Saints shirt before someone offered me £200 for my ticket... and that happened numerous times outside the ground too! Even after the match some twat wanted to buy my shirt so they could try to sneak back in... unbelievable. i appreciate the significance of the day for Everton fans, but the arrogance of them thinking any Saints fan would give up their ticket. Were any Everton fans caught inside the Saints end? Otherwise, the home fans were friendly enough in the crush before kickoff. Exiting the ground was a joke though.

Yes, McCarthy made a high profile error but then what keeper doesn’t? I thought we bossed the first half so we should take encouragement from that. Our season won’t be defined by matches against one of the (likely) top four which we would normally expect to lose anyway. We shouldn’t have to rely on sendings off etc. to stay the league. Great support today, and great to see RM applauding the Saints fans at the end. The guy is a class act.

For those driving up on Saturday, what time are you leaving? I'm in North Hampshire, thinking of leaving around 6:00.
