  1. Cheers mate. ;-)

2 up the grabs (as mentioned previously) - Cauna and Rudnevs. Quality for reasonable price. Cant get why the clubs do not hire scouts outside UK. They can do it with a help of worldwide fanbase as well and if there is a good player send a chief scout or regional scout.

Cauna scored against us last season. Reasonable player, wicked left foot, but perhaps lacking height (stature) and pace, though he does seem tenacious; I wouldn't mind him here. :)

  2. Andrew Johnson , Birmingham City , needs some match fitness and McLeash knows AJ wants to regain fitness for the Premier league ... Loan to the end of the season perhaps , could AP be the person to get him fit and ready for Birmingham next season //

Would like to see AJ up front for us in a final push for the play offs.

    Except he plays for Fulham.

  3. Two good signings for Colchester in there too IMO. O'Toole is a tidy player for this level.

Kayode Odejayi [barnsley - Colchester] Undisclosed

    John-Joe O'Toole [Watford - Colchester] Undisclosed

He's not a tidy player; he's a very messy player.

  5. Tommy Smith would not score anything like 30 goals in League 1 or set up the number that Lambert creates. He is a scuffler of moderate ability.

We can observe that Tommy Smith played 5 times for Watford at the beginning of this season (a whole league higher than ourselves currently), scoring twice and setting up four goals, a rate of 1.16... goals being created or scored by Smith in a league of a greater quality than our own. Moderate ability, indeed.

Let alone, the season before scoring 17 goals and setting up 9 in the Championship (again, a league higher than our own, of greater quality). This player can only be a grafter, eh?

  6. Well they have a few potential youngsters in their reserves: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portsmouth_F.C._Reserves_and_Academy

But out of the players on the edge of the first team, I think only Joel Ward and Marc Wilson, are worth considering (and might drop down the divisions).

Asmir Begovic is a superb keeper, but I think there will be too much interest in the Championship (or above).

Mike Williamson would be a good signing, but Pompey will want a large transfer fee, and he's already moved once this year. Danny Webber and Tommy Smith might both make good back-up strikers, but neither scores enough, and frankly I'd hope we can sign better.

Tommy Smith is absolutely brilliant, on par with if not better than Rickie in terms of productivity in goals/assists, to argue otherwise is ridiculous and stupid. We wish we could sign a player of his quality.

  7. Seeing as around 30% of our GDP comes from financial services and that's the sector worldwide which has somewhat collapsed (...banking), it's little surprise that %public debt of GDP has gone up, both as the growth of GDP has fallen (and will not grow at the same rate in the future with a more conservative banking system... hopefully) as well as exorbitant spending taking place.
