  1. Palace is the only other one, I think.

Palace is the only other one, there were still a handful of restricted view tickets available. Swansea, Liverpool and West Ham were all "sold out" but only as the club took reduced allocations.

  2. Southampton is a port city. Newcastle sunderland liverpool are the only other premiership cities that come to mind as major ports. We are associated with the docks. We are associated with the sea. Our badge recognises this. OUtside Southampton this is what people know of us. We need another song that reflects that. We are Sailing is the only song that does this. it hits all the right factors in terms of words and most importantly acoustics. My job as a sound engineer gives me an insight into the sound /noise that needs to be created in a stadium to create that hair on the back of the neck feeling. The tune and harmony from We are Sailing would take the roof off - trust me.

 F*ck sake. Do you get to many football games?

  3. Clearly this was Sheff Utd away. Makes the clubs fans look like ****s. Strange thing to find funny.

"They have no thoughts for the victim" - she'd never have known if you didn't plaster it all over a national newspaper. No doubt that makes these people proud of it and planning the next controversial thing to do.

It was before Sheffield United away. And as you say it had not been intended to go to a paper, the picture has just been taken from social media.

  4. I thought considering Ipswich had the largest away support at St Mary's ever, their support was sh*te. Completely shut up for a while in the second half when Itchen North were singing constantly. Always going to be hard to generate a decent atmosphere when our main singing 'end' is taken up by away fans. Was to be expected.

Out of interest though, has anyone seen a flag at any of our matches with "Scum Army" emblazoned on them ?

    Yes, a fair bit

  5. Been sh*t for a while now, but not a clue what will change it. Away from home we've been awful vocally this year. It's got progressively worse since we've been back up in the Prem. If we can't generate good atmospheres away from home when in Champions League places, playing good football and winning games with academy players in the team/squad then when can we? Especially after the summer just gone, we should have a bit of a siege mentality about us after being written off by everybody.

  6. Probably best to keep what happened off here. I don't know if people need to sleep with their shoes on but remember loose lips sinks ships. Be

    No surrender.

..You actually set your picture as the one you took Saturday as well

  7. Got spare train tickets for Saturday. 8.40 from Euston to Manchester Piccadilly and 6.14 back from Burnley Manchester Road to Euston via Preston. You would need to buy a ticket from Manchester to Burnley on the way up. It's with a 16-25 railcard. Late notice so make an offer.

  8. Great support again although I was unlucky to be standing next to a self-appointed cheerleader

who seemed more interested in starting the 'songs' than watching the game.

 Someone starting songs at a football match? You must have had a horrible time. Someone has to do it, because our away support has got progressively worse since we've been back in the Prem. A few half arsed attempts at OWTS and that was it last night. Awful.

  9. Rush hour traffic on the M40

Getting home at 1am with work the next morning

£40 a ticket with another £50 in fuel a month before X-mas when it's on Sky for free.

Can't really blame people for not going to this one.

We're 2nd in the league. We managed to take over 2,000 to Stoke in the cup which most say is less important than the league. I know it wasn't going to be a huge turnout but not even selling out the initial allocation is poor.

  10. He was convicted in a court of law who pronounced him guilty of rape. He is a rapist and as a footballer, he is a role model; what does this say to young supporters? it's totally fine to rape someone? whilst most on here would poo-poo this view, no matter if he's "served his time" or not and was the most remorseful man on the planet (which he is not). I wouldn't let him anywhere near a football pitch.

So no, I think everyone who has pulled out of Sheffield United are completely right to do so.

I don't think it matters if he was a footballer or a plasterer.

  11. Haven't read this thread so not sure if I'm repeating something already said.. But he's done his time. What's the point in the justice system if you're going to continue to punish them after they've served their sentence?

  12. You are putting a lot of faith in Balloheskey, Borini, Lambert, Johnson et. al. overhauling what is already an 11 point gap.

If we were putting those performances in with that team would you be betting on us to be top 4?

I don't think they'll get top four. But I don't think we will either.

Jesus christ can we stop all this now? It's not even Xmas yet and we've got a very hard run of games coming up. It's likely that we'll drop and Liverpool are more than likely to finish above us still and we'll all look a bit silly.
