Crowd just don't seem up for it. Nothing to really play for doesn't help, neither does the very loud PA system blaring out awful songs.
Really the biggest help would be installing safe standing in the chapel and announcing that as the new singing stand. Won't ever happen though.

Spend spend spend. Nothing will ever change down there.

Happy Billy Sharp day.
The day one man scored 2 goals to send us top of the league securing a vital point on our way to promotion and taking 2 points from the blue few on their way to relegation. Good times.
If only we didn't lose to Reading or Middlesbrough following this result we would have won the league. Never mind.

There's plenty of stuff to laugh at on other forums.
Take this for example. The very top thread of this forum is 'Pompey draws that live long in the memory'
They love to celebrate a draw. And of course their big draw at St Marys comes up which apparently cost us the title [emoji23]

A few small snippets of update from inside FP [emoji102]
- Someone within PFC has been given access to Eisners Twitter account. They can post (with approval) Pompey related tweets. They don't want him being typically American and out of touch.
- Mr Disney is looking for 100% ownership, so that's no fan ownership at all. However it's likely the PST will have a representative on the board. Who will be given the "power" to make decisions on stuff like matchday entertainment, a kit vote etc.
- £4m needs to be spent on the stadium to keep it as it is now. Not sure if that's common knowledge already.

Woolston Ferry!

Why do you say that?
The trust shareholding will either be for or against a sale. So as far as I can see, unless 1214 (over half) of the 2,426 trust shareholders vote to sell, then the entire 48.48% share of the club will be voting against a sale. That would be more then enough to block a complete takeover.
Because no matter what they 'vote for', the result will be in favour of the takeover.
They will "make sure" *wink wink nudge nudge* they result is in favour of the takeover.
-
A takeover needs 75% approval though, so PST "shareholders" can block it.
In theory yes. In reality no.
-
You seem to be forgetting that they have, over the years, diluted the PST shareholding which if memory serves currently sits at about 48% with the HNWs controlling the other 52%. I can't see any of the HNWs voting against getting all their money back with a cherry on top!
Indeed. However the HNWs won't want to be seen going against the fans (PST) vote, so they will "make sure" the PST vote is over 50% in favour of the takeover. I'll let you draw your own conclusions as to how.

This.
You have to wonder whose decision it was to make this information public, and why they did so. I'd imagine that the club is behind it, which seems very strange as they have absolutely nothing to gain from doing so.
From what I can gather, all that's happened is the bloke has been shown round the stadium and held a few meetings. No formal process has begun whatsoever. It all seems very premature, and exceedingly unlikely to happen.
From what I can tell and what I've been told, it's quite likely to go ahead. This guy seems to want into English football for some reason. Seems more like a hobby thing for him, his family and friends to enjoy, rather than an investment. My opinion is he thinks it'll be easy.
Only way it won't go ahead is if another club takes his fancy. He's already deemed 2 other clubs too expensive.
Any vote by the "shareholders" will have absolutely zero baring on the takeover. I've been told no matter what the outcome, should he wish to takeover they'll make sure he does. The PST doesn't own enough of the club to decide and they'd "make sure the result of any vote was in the favour of the takeover anyway".
This is all from someone within the club today so of course, could be complete Portsmyth.

It'll be interesting to see how much he offers the people of pompey for their shares.....
This might be a wake up call for a few who may now finally realise that they paid £1000 for a sheet of A4.
There may be trouble ahead.....
From what I was told he would actually pay each "shareholder" their £1000 to take over the club.
One would have to ask what a 75 year old American who was previously interested in Everton has in store. What's his motivation? A quick buck? A hobby? Or another yank who thinks they can be successful in English football? Not a great track record for Americans in the English game.
One thing is for sure, he'll need to be a big spender to get them into the PL in 5 years.

This thread has got legs yet. I'm told that meetings are taking place regarding an investor....
"Billionaire"
"New stadium"
"Premier league"
were all mentioned.
Also they're planning a torch light thingy to mock our Markus tribute. Classy as always. Divs.
For once I'm ITK

I heard a group of saints fans singing it on the tube in Milan
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They love to copy us.

All results going their way. The 4th division title is on....at the 4th time of asking

So all Pompey season ticket holders are getting a call this week to guilt them into signing up for the "Pompey lottery". £2 per week. There's a chance to meet players, win signed merchandise, win hospitality with the chairman and much more.
Not a new thing I suppose. Most clubs including Saints for many years have been running something similar raising money for charities and local communities. So what lovely charity are the proceeds going to?
That's right. Pompey. All proceeds go to PFC with a commitment that a percentage (unspecified) goes to the academy.
Basically cap in hand once again.

One of my customers in Portsmouth is a Wolves fan, and he summed it up brilliantly for me.
"The problem is, they think they're massive and they feel the need to tell everyone. They're in a league 2! You can't be a big club in league 2. They bang on about trophies like they're Real Madrid. You never hear Wolves fans go on like that. Most Pompey fans think they've actually won more than Wolves and therefore are a bigger club. It's fun correcting them."
-
It's a saints polo shirt I think. More videos have surfaced showing the scummer giving it large being dragged away by stewards whilst everyone watches him and throw some bad words at him. Still, they'll tell you he was "battered" by all 5000 of them.

Get ready for the Portsmyths. "Scummers gets head kicked in" despite clearly getting walked out completely untouched by anyone but stewards.

Looked good.
Funny that the skates are mocking it (no shock them mocking a tribute to the dead) and have actually done it themselves before.

OMG, Please! Let's never make Forster our captain! He somewhat lacks motivational skills! https://southamptonfc.com/news/2017-02-23/video-fraser-forster-pre-efl-cup-final-manchester-united-southampton
He's a very quiet man apparently. Look at the celebration videos in the Anfield changing room.

10 years ago he was a poor Pompey striker who left them for Olympiakos. Today, he's a 36-year-old without a contract, and suddenly Pompey are his true passion and spiritual home and he wants to come back.
Do other clubs do this? I've not noticed it.

The funny thing is they'll fall for it and lap it up.

Hahaha, is that **** still obsessed with us? He blocked me years ago for mocking that cringeworthy #PompeyGers thing he was trying to sort out which mainly involved him giving Rangers fans rimjobs on Twitter.
He is. Literally every-other tweet is about us and then he calls us obsessed. Not that it bothers me. What's wrong with laughing at your rivals? Look at this thread!

After constantly being outsung by Plymouth, Real Madrid are singing about the millions of trophies they've won and how they sent us down.
