I applied for approx £2000 worth of tickets, but with a max exposure of £3600 (allowing for a range of ticket prices for most events). I applied for quite a few athletics and track cycling sessions as I believed these would be oversubscribed. However I also applied for preliminary round tickets to boxing, water polo, hockey and basketball.

 

Still nothing taken. The only person I know (out of at least 10 I've spoken to) who has had money taken so far is my dad - less than £100 from a similar level of application to myself. Fingers crossed for some luck this afternoon.

Put it this way - when Adam Lallana is missing we look very average indeed, surely the sign of what is not only a quality player but a vitally important one too.

 

Mind I wouldn't argue with the those voting for Jose Fonte - he's been superb.

Fortunately we haven't had too much opportunity to find out how much we would miss Jose. Fonte for me with Lallana a close second.

i know what you mean but i suppose you could always look at it from the viewpoint that the 1st day in the Championship is the NEXT stage of the 5 year plan...

Also the first game of next season is likely to mark the game closest to 1 year since Markus' passing (10th August).

Think the phonelines are quite busy; I was listening to that hold music for over 10 mins.

Lallana was on the bench today.

It was reassuring to see him warming up with plenty of energy and mobility during half time today.

Just back from the game. Fantastic day (despite having to stay relatively controlled in the home stand).

Dickson was my man of the match, barnard and fonte not far behind. Dickson and Barnard never stopped running. A few heart stopping moments (their two goals ruled offsite and a few goalmouth scrambles which fortunately went our way). Our first goal didn't look offside to me.

Anyone else sat in the home end? I will be with two others in the West Stand. Would be good if we could congregate together! Really looking forward to seeing the 3,000+ Saints fans from another stand and hearing the noise and passion!

Yep, in the west stand also. Hoping I can sit a little away from the Orient fans incase of any accidental celebrations / outloud swearing.

My ticket in the home section arrived this morning... Can't wait for saturday, although not sure how I'm going to stay quiet if/when we score.

I'll keep it simple at first as a straight knock-out tournament because I think it'll be hard to get 8 people together. If you're in, could you write down your PS3 online tag thingy, thanks.

I expect to get thrashed but I'm in anyway. Can play most weekday evenings.

Westcarr (their top scorer with 7 so far) is also out according to my Notts supporting brother.

Wonder what colour we'll play in considering Notts are black and white stripes...?

I've only had it work with an "audio" disk, not sure if the Xbox likes mp3 disks and it definitely isn't keen on what it calls "mixed media format" i.e. DVD disks.

 

For the record I've turned everything but the crowd right down now, and for some reason my chants aren't even picking up from the playlists at the moment - bloody EA...

Ditto, chants don't seem to be working. I did get a random cheer when my virtual pro scored (the goal cheer you recorded) although it was delayed until at least 5 secs after the ball went in.

I'm loving Fifa 11 so far, despite not being very good at it. It's just a shame about the small freezes (2-5 times every game) and the EA servers which have ruined several online games. A quick search suggests many people are having the same problems - hope EA patch these issues soon.

I'm not sure Antonio is right as next manager.
