If you can just organise the subscription again for next year, that would be great.
Thanks
I've got the commentary, is there tv too?
-
Didn't see yesterday's game, but did see Spurs loss to Sunderland last week tv.
I thougth Bale was outstanding for the entire game and certainly has grown in physic and attitude.

Like most of us I have met quite a few of our players, but was really quite impressed with Frank Lebouef. I played againt him last year in a charity game (in Redondo Beach) and he was a good guy. He remembered his first game at the Dell and was very complimentary about Saints.

Does being a bar manager count?
We had loads of them!

Very interested to know the cause of the fire.
I really hope it was not as a result of somebody ****ed up or out of their heads on drugs that caused it - otherwise they should be prosecuted for murder.
- That's how it works in the U.S and quite rightly so in my opinion.

I don't believe that for a second, do you really think it's a coincidence that the US and UK are two of the World's largest arms manufacturers. It's not just the US and UK military, all the countries in the surrounding area have increased military spending because of the instability.
As well as business making a fortune on arm sales you have the benefits of cheaper oil, the reconstruction contracts as well as the lucrative private security contracts which are worth billions.
From the BBC..
With annual sales of about £17bn, the (UK Arms) industry likes to see itself as a key plank of the UK economy.
The industry's biggest customer is the British government, which last year placed orders worth about £13bn.
But the UK is also the world's second biggest arms exporter, behind the United States, with a market share of about 20%.
It claims to directly employ 350,000, spread over 11,000 firms, with as many as 1.2 million people relying on it for a living.
What don't you believe?
Keep in mind the British govt would have been the biggest customer regardless of Iraq and Afgahnistan - same for the USA, France, Germany, Russia, etc, with their govts.
The BBC numbers are incorrect. In 2007 the UK was ranked 7 in arms exporters -
USA and China were 1 and 2, and even the Netherlands was number 6. (US dollars)
The conflict does not require radar systems, ships, fast jets and large hardware which is what the UK is good at producing.

Am I cynical as I believe it is not a financial burden but a calculated business case in which the advance payment (the cost of the military adventure which also happens to be a stimulus for the US economy at the same time) is offset against the future guaranteed cheap controllable oil supplies as well as vast profits for US firms replacing the bomb damaged infrastructure using the countries oil wealth to pay for it!
You are still wrong.
The military 'adventure' does not provide an economic stimulus. There have been no new aircraft or systems purchased specifically for the conflicts. UAV's and some armoured vehicles have been ordered but this is not a major job creator.
The only stimulus that worked for the economy was the cash for old cars and govt funded construction in the U.S.
Your comment regarding the oil supply is a different argument entirely to the economic situation and in any case OPEC controls the oil supplies.
You are also wrong about U.S firms rebuilding the Iraq and Afgahnistan infrastructure.
Many other European and soon to be Chinese contractors have won this business.
The Iraq war was totally ill-conceived I am in no doubt, but don't think it was all part of a much bigger cunning plan - it wasn't.
The U.S govt has far more scrutiny than probably any other govt in the world.
-
Point very well made. Without a war going on the US would probably be even worst off due to redundancies etc etc.
Not true at all.
Every major country has a "Lockheed Martin" type company. The French and German manufacturers are very successful, as indeed the UK is too.
The cost of the war is a significant burden to the US economy and in no way can be looked at as a financial benefit.

A packet of crisps, anadin extra and a coke.
Works a treat and you don't have to spend time making it or go out somewhere.
I always stock up on it when I am over.
If you have a very bad hangover then replace the coke with an ice cold lager.

What a great charity and wonderful way to remember Rich.

I may be foolish and say some foolish things at times, but this is not one of those occasions. What is so wrong with supporting someone (working class, at that) is scared for their future? Has no-one on here been cornereed and scared for their future, and their childrens and grandchildren's future ad infinitum. Get behind the 'trolley dollies' ffs.
Or stay out of it, sorry to be so course, but these people have rights that people died for to establish. No offence intended, I promise.
You can't possibly be serious????
Sorry, but it is one of those occasions when you are being foolish.
Do you really think there are any jobs where you can have no concern for your own future or childrens, etc???
Does your employer 'owe' you a living and security?
A business has to be competitive to survive - unions can't secure jobs. Check our where your TV, shoes, car, telephone, etc, were all made.
I thought this dispute was about money not job security anyway??

I watched him punch the air with every goal we scored. We were right next to the dug out, he gestured to the crowd on a few ocasions to make some noise as well, on the pitch after the game he had both hands aloft, was also waving a saints flag, what are you expecting, the crouch robot dance?
Well Said!
From watching TV and live games, I don't think he is an unpassionate manager at all.
A little mischief making by the negatives on here I think...

My lad saw Tiff Needell with his kids. Apparently a big SFC fan.

Strange! Lack of moral fibre!
Watched on the web and loved it!
Really pleased we had so many fans - looked like a home game.
'kin brilliant.
-
Just come in from washing the car - I couldnt face watching it, I got so jittery.
Saw the HT score, very pleased, but even more jittery about watching the 2nd half.
Do we deserve the lead ? Are Carlisle dangerous-looking ?
You washed the car instead of watching the game????
WTF!

We all want a picture!
Are you allowed to poste a pussy picture?

going to be at Wembley on Sunday.
I know 9 coming from Holland
2 from Norway
sure there must a quite a few more. Always feel for those overseas fans who come over to support us a few times a season hope next season the club look at having an overseas membership scheme to cater for them.
There was an ex-pats membership scheme in the plan but the club cancelled it after discussion with GM.

I think Lowe had a very close connection with the Mail. During his tenure every article printed in the Mail had come straight from the lips of Lowe.
I'd have thought that RL was too smart to have a "jealous dig" at the new regime by attacking Cortese through his megaphone but the Mail have tended to be pro-Lowe from the late 90s.
RL had nothing to do with this at all. In addition the 'author' has no love for RL.
Let's move on and not give this story any more publicity.

This strike is no good to anyone other than BA's competitors in my opinion.
The Mail is not incorrect in everything they print but it is certainly true they have a massive agenda and spin stories to suit this agenda - just like every other paper.
Whatever your politics the media can spin a story either way.
I don't know all the details of this strike but think it a real shame when the good name of BA is shown around the world in a negative light. I tend to view on the side of BA management as the cost to the business is huge - both in the loss of income during disruption and the future loss caused by a lack of passenger confidence.
FF appears a decent and honest guy and I don't think he or anyone, deserve the merciless hounding of the press, regardless of whether I agree or disagree with him/them.
The airline industry in the US has been completely changed due to the recession and I know for sure each airline's cabin crew have taken massive cuts in pay, pensions and other benefits. The unions quickly realised they had to make big changes to survive.
The same thing happened with the car industry and again, the unions had to make changes.
British Airways does not have a God given right to be in business.
Providing great service and value to its customers, dividends to its shareholders, payment to its suppliers, and a fair and safe working environment for its employees, is how they will survive.
They really need all of these to survive - let's hope it gets resolved otherwise we will all have less choice the next time we fly.
Personally I think the union believed they could bully BA as a strike is the last thing a major airline needs in this current business environment.

I want Saints to return to the Prem, but not sure its any more enjoyable being mid table Prem than Top 6 Div3. Actually would be more happy being Top 6 Championship I think.
Having a good go at the top teams in the Premiership is better than having a good go at Huddersfield or Preston in my opinion.
I agree it's great to be winning games on a regular basis and I am sorry not to be able to go every week and enjoy it, but I would prefer to be in Stoke or Birmingham's position than ours in relation to league status.
The '80s and '90s were indeed enjoyable because we were in the highest league, we could attract great players and would regularly beat the 'big' clubs
It would not have been as enjoyable had we not been in Div 1.

West Ham fan Martin Samuel in piece suggesting that ex-West Hammer Alan Pardew might be a good pick for a club higher up the leagues the day after Zola's team get trounced at home. Hmmm. I'm sure there's a connection here but I just can't quite see it. Press conference at 4pm? (joke)
Mind you, Cortese is right - we have thrown away too many points. Samuel is right though with the general sentiment that it takes time to blend a team and that he's doing okay at the mo.
I wouldn't lay bets against Pardew going to West Ham after the cup final is done and dusted.
Agree about Samuel writing to another agenda but don't think AP would return to West Ham. The fans gave him a rough time during the end of his tenure there and I am sure he hasn't forgotten.
Any chance of a live stream for tonight?
