  1. Ralph is a MAN manager, the others were football managers, probably a ship pole as that. All the crap about controlling the controllables and so on with. no ideas about how to motivate and gel a team ethic.

This has probably been said but Pellegrino and Hughes were dreadful managers and wouldn't have got a tune out of many talented players. Ralph is obviously different (see already how Redmond and JWP have come on) so if anyone can get his attitude and performances right he's in the right place

Having said that clearly its up to the lad himself how much much he wants to work ....

  2. Celtic officially pull the plug on Turnbull.

Nixon reckons Prem interest caused it to collapse... wonder if it’s us? Norwich allegedly making a move

Hes a very decent prospect, would do wonders under Ralph (like JWP has) so shame if were not involved

  3. Reports saying Brum want closer to £16m but Everton sniffing as well so lets just cough up the extra 2m and get it done

We paid 18m for Carillo ffs

  4. We have no strikers and no creativity, really need now to give Obafemi or Johnson or Sims a go as we have no pace out wide, no target man and playing that 3 in the middle isn't working

Ralph doesnt get a pass here, anyone can see Long is not going to score you goals and relying on Redmond and JWP to score each week isn't going to work ...

  5. He is a prime example of where good coaching can really develop young players (i.e. not Hughes). Look what Klopp has done with TAA and Robertson as an example ...

Think Ralph sees something in him. He just needs to develop and i'm all for us bringing through academy players, developing them and selling them for big bucks, makes for a good long term business model as long as we dont replace them with dross like Boufal, Cariillo, Hoedt etc

  6. Credit to West Ham, they were fitter, stronger, tactically very good and in Rice and Anderson had the two best players on the pitch

We looked tired, Valery, Armstrong, Romeu and Redmond looked like the 3 games in 10 days with the higher tempo/pressing had caught up with them and Lemina was miles off it first half. Quite surprised Ralph didnt bring some others in today but understand why he didnt

Having said all that we still could have got something out of the game, Lemina should have scored and just didnt get any bounce of the ball

Thought the back 3 did well seeing how much pressure they seemed to be under

  7. Let’s be fair to West Ham, they have defended excellently.

Got numbers back quickly, made us play it sideways and backwards. Look at our throws, they are going backwards.

They are getting the better of our wingbacks and getting into good positions

    Rice is class

Second that, the lad Rice will be at a top 4 club by the end of the year ...
