Well, That forum read was a bit comical really in terms of complacency. On paper they could well stuff us, but the Saints at the moment, while we have some good players, are running heavily on team spirit, and you just can't calculate the odds for that.

If we lose, it will be far from the end of the world for us and I won't be panicking. If we win, I'll probably just leave a stain in my pants that I won't want wifey to wash out.

I gave thanks in the other two threads it appeared in, and give thanks in this one too. It was really special to be able to watch a game again at last. It was very encouraging to see just how well we can play, and gives some valuable insight into what we will only be hearing about in future commentaries.

Watched the match on the live stream. My thoughts:

We played like we are the team at the top of the league.

We dominated long spells but some fierce defending and a bit of bad luck stopped us from winning.

Derby are a well organised team but we more than outplayed them.

Its so good to see the spirit of our players, they are very driven

 

I am not naive enough to believe that we must win every game to prove how good we are and I believe that the depth of our squad

combined with our playing style will give us an extremely good chance of automatic promotion.

I rarely post, although I visit the site regularly for any snippets of news etc. This Alpine guy, from what I can tell is the definition of a troll. Unfortunately as I guess I am doing by mentioning it the only way to deal with a troll is to totally ignore it. I have a feeling that even insulting it gives it the attention it craves.

No need to feel ashamed. Alpine is an extremely competent troll. He is probably beating himself off right now while reading these posts. He is spoiling this forum with his retarded rhetoric while staying well clear of a ban for the usual rules.
