They asked him about his involvement in the special Olympics.......Then they lost him before he spoke about Saints.

I'm very pleased. This is a solid "No nonsense" appointment.

We are bottom of the third div. on -10 points. Pardew could have got a club in a higher division. This shows that he has faith in the future of the team and the commitment of the new owner. This combined with the club telling our players they can leave if they want to tells me that the cash for new and better players will be forthcoming.

As much as i'd pleased with Strachan or Pearson coming back, i doubt it'll happen and i'm always slightly worried about 'hero's' returning.

I know what you mean about returning managers, but I don't think that applies with WGS. It is not in his character to fail without trying every option. Remember him as a player? He was the most tenacious SOB I have ever seen. He would never take an easy option, and has more fighting spirit than a bar full of Scotsmen.

Sadly, it ain't gonna happen anyway, so it's a moot point.

I've actually been wasting some of my time thinking about this now......

I think the largest part of the problem is that Saints are crap. That kinda puts everyone on edge a bit for starters. The second part of the problem is that a lot of footy fans are assholes. This is not a good combination. When you try and meld the comments of reasonable people suffering great dissapointments in life with the ramblings of a small portion of monkey people, well, it's never really going to end well.

The intelligencia (New word) ramble on in monotone about how depressed they are and how impossible the situation is, while the monkey-men throw their own feces at them, each other, and anyone else that happens to be passing.

We just need some good news......Then the intelligencia will cheer up, the feces will taste sweeter, and I won't need to wear those adult nappies any longer. (I only wear them for practice when I get even older than I already am, honestly)

Seriously though, I honestly don't think it's worth the fiver. I'm not cheap, I pay $25 per year for a home brewing forum, and I use it all the time because it is informative and has a good sense of community. I feel that this place has lost something that it once had.
