Strange you have that memory seeing as Lallana never left the bench in that game.
Just for the record we played 442 with Walcott on one side Dyer the other and best and mcgoldrick up front.
Maybe it's McGoldrick we should be getting 25m for.

Maybe the odd gem that comes through doesn't make a whole squad, or team.

I know footballers are rich but even they can't get their hands on that sort of money and there's no way United will be able to gift it to him whilst he's another teams player so I can't believe this to be the case surely. There has been a development on this,Bilbao have announced that Herrera has paid his buy out clause 36 million€ (about 28 million £) and he's gone to Utd.The great advantage of these clauses is that they're payable in one hit so Bilbao aren't bothered by any agent's fees, payment delays, options or adds-on.
They had no control over the player's desire either though, if he pays he becomes a free agent. Utd were obviously trying to get better terms.

Shaw being a young player doesn't count on anyone's home grown quota for the time being anyway.
Fair point, it's investment for the future with Shaw I suppose in that case so still a large amount of money would have to change hands.
-
I'd be happy with Neville, excellent knowledge of the game. If he brought in some intelligent coaches around him then he could succeed. It's not like he's had the joys of domestic coaching to say he cant be without it and needs games every day like Mourinho states.
-
If the top teams need to fill their home grown quota then they have to pay the premium, or, and this might be a mental idea, they can invest heavily in their youth system like Saints do and bring through their own young English talents. If they want to sit back and cherry pick the talents that other clubs spend a lot of time producing then I have no sympathy, I say go for 50m for Shaw and see if they pay it.

Hart had no chance with either goal, Suarez doesn't miss those, you could put whoever you like between the sticks and all other things being equal Suarez would have scored both times. Change the defence and maybe not who knows but Hart wasn't at fault.
Apart from he could've saved the second goal if he was brave and stood tall and didn't limbo under the ball, probably scared it might take some hairs out and he couldn't do the head and shoulders adverts anymore.

Glen Johnson, **** the ****ety **** off. Even setting up the goal is not enough to stop me venting my pain at seeing that **** in an England shirt. Ball watching useless ****wit. **** off. Skate.
I thought Johnson was one of our best players tonight.
Why no centre back decided to stick up Suarez ass I'll never know. I was pleased with hodgson as manager but now I think he's a bottler who went with his faves from the top of the league. Shame.

Love none of the pundits dare blame Gerrard or Roy for bottling it with his team selection. Its all about one man beating us but if we played better that one man wouldn't beat us and I don't recall Suarez stopping our shiz forward line from scoring

Mate have you any news regarding incoming players? Love the info but being less cryptic would be great for a tired head like mineAs it says.cheers

A draw would probably be ok but I would like Costa Rica to try and get at least a point against Italy so they won't take their foot off the pedal against Uruguay, if Italy get to 6 points I can see them relaxing a bit in their last game.
A win for England, draw for Costa and the final games will be well exciting!
I would stick Rooney in the middle and Sterling out right cutting in, unlike Rooney he can play anywhere. Tempted to say get Shaw in there to run at the Uruguayans back line as I think he could terrorise them a bit more with his pace. If Suarez does start then stick someone on him and knacker him out and frustrate him.
Looking forward to this game more than other England games in recent history.

Mancini can only achieve success though expensive signings.
But even that din't help him at Man City
Aprart from winning the league

Someone dumped 160 quid into betfair at 1.2 on Manchini and someone snapped it up straight away! What an idiot unless he knows something.
-
Interesting about Mancini, 2 days ago he stated he was staying at Galatasaray for next season. Also on Betfair, over the last 15 minutes Rene Girard's name was added and 10 quid was laid and snapped up at 5.2. Manchini isn't availabee on Betfair yet but will keep an eye out to see if he's added.

Very sad news, was one of the best comedians on the tv when I was growing up, seen him live a few times on the Bottom tour and I've never laughed so much, especially when they mess it up and they improvise. Saw him a couple of years ago at the mayflower doing a B'stard type character and he still had it.
I had a bottle of Bombardier Colonel's Choice, 6% of loveliness.
Cheers for the laughs Rik, always up there as one of the bests for me.

Toshack is actually Turkish for testicles - Make of that what you will.

Ranieri would be a bloody good appointment to be fair but we're all set on koeman now.
-
What a boring day of nothingness. Nothing has even changed with the bookies and having dipped in and out of Betfair to see what money is being exchanged about a tenner has gone on today. Hopefully all quiet before the big announcement but it would be nice to get some rumours about Koeman being spotted at the airport again or something.

Just shows that he's been overlooked for far too long really. DD made a complete pig's ear of the tour to South America last summer, that's when Morgan should have been called up. Internal politics somewhere made him choose the awful Guilavogui and Capoue for reasons only known to the FFF . Grenier has been injured for most of this calender year, why he thought he'd hold up this summer no-one really knows, same for Mavuba. DD is a creature of habit, likes his binkies and doesn't seem to like change much.
Do you think Morgan will get a game, either from the start or as a sub? Obviously DD was impressed with his attitiute and training when with the extended squad.

Also student isn't even a saints fan, if I remember rightly he's a Brighton fan so how he'd know so much about us is anyone's guess.

Jos talking about Koeman - If you can understand it!
http://www.soccernews.nl/news/255481/Nederlander_flirt_met_Koeman:_Hij_zou_passen_bij_Southampton
The interest from Southampton in Ronald Koeman seems to be . More seriously Jos Hooiveld hopes his club strikes and the trainer to the Premier League has , as he says in interview with Voetbal International .
"At Southampton we have a half years ago to take a new road, the gameplay even more sophisticated. As a relatively small club in the Premier League we try well cared for football forward, putting pressure. Koeman would struggle to adapt ," says the 31 -year-old defender . " During my holiday in Ibiza , I spoke to a number of Feyenoord , Reuben Chess, Samuel Armenteros and they all raved about him. "
Hayfield , which came under Mauricio Pochettino from grace , hopes the arrival of a new manager also new opportunities . " The departure of the coach and the arrival of a new coach , the cards are reshuffled . Perhaps there is still a competitor in Southampton leaves . Because , according to the British newspaper we go this summer a lot of players lose . If you believe everything what they write , should we be happy if we are still left with eleven . "

To be fair he's acting as an England player whilst with the England squad so it's not such a heinous crime and I actually think other England players would sign other clubs shirts in an England capacity. If he said he hopes to join Liverpool though that's a bit out of order.
-
Koeman has also shortened to 2/5, was 1/2 this morning. I've been following it all on Betfair as well to see where the money is going, people still steadily put small amounts on Moyes but it's all going on Koeman, people hovering up at 1.5 to 1.6, over a grand.
