Just think most people behave in a responsible and non violent way and do not expect to see violence on the streets of Southampton
But let the Pxmpey scum and think they can do it in our city without a response?
Have you been to Fratton? Yet again the blue got what was deserved in our proud city
-
Wrong there Stu. I live up in the Midlands and have mates who are fans of clubs up North and in London and none of them think that Saints/Pompey is anything special at all. Not even on their radars. They see it as a bit of a soft southern affair compared to Villa/Brum, Liverpool/Everton, Man U/Man C or Newcastle/Sunderland
I think you really are the most clueless twxt ever on this site from everything you have ever posted.
-
Perhaps the poster was expecting to watch the football and support the Saints without listening to foulmouth bigotory.
He probably thought you tedious and tiresome
You must really create some hostile atmosphere at derby games you dickhead. Count the people there who weren't using 4 letter language at times and you will have enough fingers.
-
Well done to all the lads who were up for it.
-
Just home, enjoyed the game. Crowd were great! Wish we had taken 2 out of the four good chances in first half.
Took my 10 year old grandson to his first local derby. Not sure I would do it again. Surrounded in the Chapel by pure hatred, every swear word imaginable. The moron behind me could not speak without including a four letter word. Spent most of the game standing shouting abuse. Took no notice of loads of young children sat in front of him. Took the shine off the day for me.
I suspect I, or one of thousands or more, could have been that nasty person shouting four letter words at the scum of the earth on every possible occasion. What do you expect at a match against them FFS?
It IS all about pure hatred and that's why I wouldn't miss it for the earth. D'ya think we should be politely applauding that pile of blue ****e or what? Or being true supporters? Get a f'ing grip man or just don't go next time we play them - which is probably never.
It's back to family section time after this so take your young lad then if you don't expect TOTAL hatred and foul language. Dear god, what is the point of football against them if you don't expect and hope for that level of atmosphere?
-
Agreed. What a rubbish chant.
Other than that I thought the Chapel were awesome yesterday
I've just a first chance to read this thread pal but thought you were completely spot on.
I'm usually a Northamer or Itchener but ended up in the Chapel corner. The atmosphere and noise there was nothing like I've known from it. Every song that started at the Northam/Kingsland corner or the Itchen was taken straight on by the good folk down the Chapel in big numbers. It was an unexpected pleasure.
Drowned out the f'ckers nearly all the time with real venom and hate - just as it should be when we play them.
Even the result wasn't the end of the world because, one it was rididulously unlucky. and two they are still drowning whilst we keep afloat on a cruise to way above they will end up.
Life is still sweet. Wish I had been in the afters though but the walk from Chapel corner was mainly blocked off by horses and horse ****.
-
F'ing hell! I am reduced to a wreck already at the thought of not getting a ticket for this and the atmosphere will be, no offence meant, a lot better the less young families go IMO.
So it's not bad that most tickets left are due to families giving it a miss but a bleeding disaster for any of the rest of us hoping to get in if the only seats are in the family section!
I don't think any of us non-family have a hope in hell of a ticket in that section.
I have NEVER missed us playing them at home in my life (and not many at FP) so this is agonising.
Oh, and my total sympathy for Halo and disgust at Rees for his return callousness to a fellow Saint probably missing the game we all dream of cos Halo, like me, can in no way possibly afford the linked tickets.
-
I've just been down to the ground to get my ticket. There is no queue, just walked straight up. The guy on the desk said there were about 5000 left? He did not think they would last until the unlinked general sale.
That is what is scarng the shxt out of me! I just cannot afford linked tickets but will sell my soul (or my arxe) to get to the Poopey match. But I just can't see there being much chance or (m)any left by the Weds unlinked sale.
There is no way on earth we won't sell out! Some families might give it a miss but, not being insulting, that is a reason the atmosphere will be even vitriolic and superb. IMO.
-
if people wanted a wall of sound they would have filled the Chapel in the first place, but we want to be near the away fans because it is the closest feeling we have to being on the terraces and having atmospheres like they were in the 70s and 80s.
What? Like away fans were welcomed in the Milton? I don't think so.
In the 70s and 80s you had your end and didn't put up with any other fans trying to get in there. Bring that back!
-
I haven't got the brain to work it all out Ken Tone but that seems accuarate within a few quid here or there. It certainly doesn't come anywhere near the shxt the small club find themselves in.
I have til fairly recently wanted the worst for an existing PFC to remain in some dire division way below us. I'm starting to feel, with each daily hilarity and farce at their little club, that to see them cease to exist altogether would be a party day.
Still can't decide whether it is better for them to be wound up days before the cup game and we get a bye or whether defeat at Southampton should be their final experiene. Either would be a f'ing hoot to celebrate.
-
I think the matchday is spoilt by having home & away fans at one end. Half the fun was singing from the Milton at the away fans in the Archers.
I actually think this would encourage more vocal support from all round the ground.
Obviously there would still be the Itchen North contingent who would follow to close by the away fans - but the Northam would spread and fill that end behind the goal.
Create a section directly behind the goal in the Chapel for away fans.
Personally I'd still sit in Blocks 1,2 because I like the view and the sun on matchdays - plus with the Northam extending across would still be part of the home crowd. Sorry for the corporates - but that's the way I feel.
Largely agree Yorkie.
Has always driven me mad since we moved to SMS that we are actually outnumbered in our "home" end by away fans. Absolute madness. Give us a cup game (i.e. up coming blue scum) and we are nothing virtually left in the Northam.
Give us the WHOLE Northam or Chapel. I don't care where but give us an end that is OUR end. Place the away fans down a corner near it if you want but how can it make ANY sense at the moment for the away team to run out to their fans whilst we run out to the silent nearly empty Chapel. Where the hell is our home advantage gone within seconds?
6000 vocal home fans at one end would make a huge huge difference to the atmosphere and there is nothing to stop those wanting a bit more "banter" to be near the aways. Down a corner for them as you say Yorkie.
Makes me blood boil that they effectively take home advantage for an away game, especially since the total **** up off closing Itchen blocks where the atmosphere is great.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrr

I for one have enjoyed the progress made this season. We have a club, team and supporters that are the envy of most other clubs. Our future is secure, our owner is committed, our chairman is innovative, our manager is doing well and our team is improving. Bloody fantastic!
Please can the terribly negative posters come on board? If I didn't know I would think we were describing events 12 months ago when the Dark Lord was still there and we had a team of kids nose diving out of existence. The times they are a changin'.
Let's all enjoy the progress we have made and see how far we can go this season. I will continue to dream of 3 Wembley appearances and promotion!!! Imagine that and then think of where we were heading!
Please lets stick together and stop this negative crap. As has been posted elsewhere we have won 18 of the last 25, are unbeaten this year, a game away from Wembley, and have Pompey at home in the FA Cup - fantastic!!
I am a totally miserable git Modern Matron but am with you on this and haven't enjoyed your post less than many. I do think most of the backing from fans this season has been fantastic and full of hope though.
We are moving onwards and upwards as our neighbours reverse.

Game set and match to Alehouse - all I can say is that great minds think alike :-)
I don't know which is best but I think you've persuaded me between you two that I HAVE to be there.
Ex-Fareham myself pal!
-
surely "without a ground of your own?
Sorry, just seen you were well ahead of me! I agree though :-)
-
(To the tune of "Blue Moon")
Blue few
You're always standing alone
Without a club to support
With a ground of your own
Hope not already posted but I like that a lot except wouldn't "without" a ground of your own be even better?
Not that I'm being picky FarehamRed!
With health and finances being in a bad state I keep thinking perhaps I should just watch from home on tv, although I have never missed a game against them in my life if possible to get there. Then every time I read this thread I want to be there SO SO much. It must be worth the long journey and f'ing up my skintness and bank charges even more to get there.
As someone, I think Suewhistle said, we are going to need a songsheet in the programme to make sure we all remember some of the crackers on here!
-
Works of genius and huge laughs on here. Keep them coming!
Got to remember, as CB Fry said, that they have to be short enough for us to remember. But so much to choose from!
I do expect "fxck off Pxmpey, Pxmpey **** off" in response to any of their pathetic chimes. I believe this is usually censored by tv but who cares. I'm a bit worried that "pay up Pxmpey", good as it is may sound like big support for them?
Got to take big **** take banners and I do hope the club will allow those. Great songs. Let's just take the **** non-stop between us scoring for fun.
Oh no! This is so good I am going to have to pay me £5 to become a full member of the site. C'est la vie Pxmpey cxnts

Despite the strange Vectis Saint and St Landrew saying we are jumping on a bandwagon (?) the ball out from Mrs Moore was the most ecstatic moment for years. Nothing could be better than this tie.
I would walk the 90 miles, steal a ticket from a skate and sit next to Mr Incontinent Westwood to watch this. Actually I hope it doesn't come to that really.
This is the greatest we could ever have hoped for and I did indeed jump around the room for quite a long time before falling on the floor making bowing down hand gestures to a higher being I have never believed in before.
It now becomes clear the the lawd smiles on us and vomits on P'mouth.
I've rarely used this phrase before but BRING IT ON, you blue f'ing losers and visit the Joiners again if you think you're anything anymore. I want to see PFC die and disappear at SMS.
A wall of noise and as many ****s taking banners as possible. Even if we lose it willl hurt but we will have a fxxk of a laugh at them.
This is bigger than anything this season. I was over excited at getting to the JPT final but it is almost nothing compared to this.

I have a feeling we will get Leeds (or Spuds) or possibly Reading. Don't know why. Did I detect a wry smile from Coppell last night when they were (briefly) talking about us, just wonder if he is lined up for the Sporting Director role at the end of the season.
Really hope we don't get Pompey, anyone really wishing for us to be drawn to play at their **** ground must be mental. All that means is aggro and a chance for the small-minded people to pose as thugs, what we don't need right now is a game marred by violence. I also don't wish to contribute anything financially to them. Can you imagine if we lost and then they went out of business? We'd never hear the end of it from the club that would rise from the ashes. And as for that tosser Westwood, last night syaing "the PL will miss us, because we are real fans" - what planet is that guy on? Planet Ugly I guess.
I can understand your view to a degree Vectis Saint but I think you are going way too far calling those of us who want to draw the blue scum "mental". After most of my lifetime wishing we draw them I have prayed not for the last few years as we would almost certainly have lost badly.
This year I think many of us not only love the atmosphere above all else but feel that we could beat them now and humiliate their crumbling small club and idiot fans. A loss for us might be expected and hurt like fxck but if we won their shame would be 10 times worse.
As for going to Farton, yes it's a pain getting there but who doesn't consider the 1984 Moran winner as one of the greatest moments in our history. I'm prepared to brave the 6 fingered locals for an experience like that.
Home will do fine though. We'll definitely stuff them at SMS with a hell of an atmosphere
-
Spot on - if James had put in exactly the same performance on the right he would have just been ignored. For some reason people on here are desperate for Holmes to play and praise him at ever chance.
He's a very average player, although I would prefer to have him play wide left if it means Lallana can play through the middle.
Well admittedly my eyesight is appaling Andy but the bloke I have thought was Holmes on a few limited occasions was bloody good imo. I'm delighted he's back.
-
The Skates - Home or Away.
As above.
-
Slightly disappointing after we managed 18,000 for Luton but people have so many games to pick from and pay for now as we head for Wembley 3 times in a season.
-
I'm not sure I'd care too much who we played just to be back at Wembley. I haven't been there since 1978 (missed the ZDS).
Please please just get there Saints!
(Actually would probably rather see us stuff Leeds and their toss supporters but just to be back would be fantastic)
-
I have no sympathy for them whatsoever but how much does this show Sol Campbell up to be a greedy, money grabbing peice of garbage ?
The guy is obviously loaded after being on mega bucks at both Arsenal and Pompey (prob Spurs before them too) so he sees the club are in big trouble and just puts the boot right in.
Some people are despicable beyond words......still as long as you get some of your £1.7 million Sol to go with the millions you already have in the bank sod the tea lady who wont earn that much in 10 lifetimes eh ?
I'm sorry but although I have admired many Arsenal players over the years Sol Campbell has just become my favourite ever!
-
Sounds like a song lyric. 'I'd rather be a scummer than a skate, yes i would`
Can't think of the song or artist though.
I thought it just came from a friend who sings it on the way to every game!
But they were always scummers themselves in my youth. I've now shortened this to "scum" as, whilst scummers is used by nearly every club for their local rivals, "skates" is only used by us and to my considerable pleasure really REALLY ****es them off. "Scummer" is so unoriginal that it doesn't bother me remotely if they call us that :-)
Saints lead out song!!!
