100 up for KP. Needs to get past 128 to get the highest score for a new England captain.

I sold a POE 24 Port Switch the other day to a security company with their own IT support department. Netgear one. Seemed quite smart.
I suspect he was talking about using plugs on your home ring main to carry a network signal not power over ethernet but I could be mistaken...
Assuming the former then I have a wireless extender that uses the main to and it appears to work fine. It works like ADSL in that the network signal is put through the main on top of the AC and at a frequency that does not appear to cause any interference.

Man, is that squad lightweight or what ?
what
-
100% disagree.
*We have a weak squad that will be cherry picked if any player shows form that a premiership club wants.
*We have no money to "buy ourselves out of trouble" in January.
*We have a chairman that divides the fanbase.
The signs are all pointing towards there being more off-field AND on-field problems than during the Branfoot era or the final days of Lowes last stint.
Disagree with your expected depressive take on things.
Do we really have a weaker squad than last year or just one that has less big names?
You appear to assume we will be in trouble come January
The chairman may divide the fan base but 99% of those that do not LIKE lowe will still go and support the team. Its only obsessives like yourself who put their hatred of lowe ahead of the team.
Anyone would think that you really really want there to be off-field problems this coming season?
-
Fairly crap really. in the whole article before predicting we will be relegated it says
Southampton's off-field problems give cause for concernAnd that apparently is it, the reason for our demise??
In reality, with the exception of keeping the bank happy I would say this season looks like being the quietest for off-field problems for several years.
-
So you can't prove me wrong and therefore that is an admission that you made up the statement that i highlighted. Why? Is it really worth lieing to support an opinion on a internet messageboard? I think you, and a good many others, need to get over your blind obsessions and be more objective and honest.
All the circumstantial evidence so far is that Fulthorpe is trying to organise a takeover but has yet to get together the money to do it. This message board would be rather thinner on posts if everyone's statements had to be backed up with incontrovertible evidence.
Plus just because you can't provide evidence for something does not by default make it untrue.
-
The point i'm making is that i look at the full picture and make a judement, wheras you clearly paint the picture how you want it to look.
Sounds more like pot, kettle, black to me. Isn't funny how each of us can see the whole picture and everyone else is painting things how they want it. Amazing.

Well, as Poortvliet has such great motivational powers, perhaps he ought to do a job on Scacel and get him fired up to play for us. After all, we're still paying his wages to do nothing at the moment. Or is Poortvliet's motivational prowess only applicable to youngsters? It seemed to me that Pearson did a bloody good job of motivating players who had been accused of lacking pride and passion only a few weeks before. Are you also inferring that he is only capable of lifting seasoned pros? I'd have thought that if so, although a ridiculous opinion, it would nevertheless be a much harder job than motivating the youngsters, who are more naive and full of youthful idealism.
And anyway, even as assistant to Pearce, Pearson did actually have the opportunity to have that motivational talk with the England lads, as because of contractual obligations, Pearce was unable to manage the game against Italy, which was a 3-3 draw, the first match played at the new Wembley.
I never meant to imply that one could only motivate youths and the others motivate season pros as that would be stupid. You appear to be misreading 'better' as 'only' or something. So to repeat IN MY OPINION Poortvliet will be BETTER at motivating the youths to than Pearson and via versa.
-
He certainly talks the talk, but will he walk the walk with the most mediocre Saints side in the last 30 years?
Given that the current side appear so far to look anything but mediocre its not a question that needs answering. Or do you mean mediocre as in not having any high earning big names?
-
Well, presumably being appointed as Stuart Pearce's assistant coach of the England under 21's might be deemed to be quite a good indication that he was respected enough to be considered as qualified to coach the best English youngsters in the land.
But is the assistant coach the one who has to gather the team together in the dressing room after a disappointing first half and get the fired up for the second half? To me being assistant coach is, well, about coaching. Head Coach/Manager is something different and is the one picking the team and motivating them and its that function that I am not sure NP would be best at with a young team.

Quite.... but, perversely, to refuse a financially benficial takeover becasue they wanted to install their own people could turn out to be the short-termest view, despite the attractive football ethos currently offered.
But accepting a financially beneficial takeover could be considered a short termist view as well. After all what is having lots of money if its not having shop jam today rather than the promise of home made jam in the future.
Anyway as fulmerrythorpe appear to be unable to organise anything remotely like a takeover after many months of promising 'its almost ready honest' its all rather a philisophical question.

If I can do something within my compass for you friend, let me know! Thanks.
Happy to help

Well if that was what was expected of him can you blame him?
And one suspects it was a more positive, informative and less disruptive fans forum than if he had been present. Lots of bulls complaining about the lack of a red flag IMO.

Jan and Andrew Cowan is coming across well yesh. Michael Wilde's decline of the invitation to appear speaks volumes for me i'm afraid
You reckon their would have been lots of rational constructive questions for him if he has appeared? By the few seconds I caught him going would have been like a metal duck volunteering to go to the shooting gallery.
-
i imagine some fans are going to make themselves look stupid as usually happens at these forums with stupid ill informed questions
I tried to listen but someone was asking a stupid ill informed question so I gave up

LMFAO.
I'm not the one claiming it would be stupid to get rid of a manager at the start of the season (i.e. JP v Shearer), yet is only to happy to make excuses why it was OK to do it a few years back (Sturrock v Wigley), all in one ****ing thread.
At least do it on different threads on different days.
Ah, obviously getting desperate as you have rolled out the LMFAO.
I does not take a genius to see the difference between replacing a manager at the start of the season who is getting on well with the players and the board compared to one where the opposite is true.
Point is something HAD to be done about luggy but the same is not true, at least at the moment with JP. Do you get that???
-
Don't even bother.
Having to respond to these two makes me consider taking Sundance off ignore and praying for GM to take me off of his!!!!!!!
Ah, the old I'm loosing the argument so will try and peddle the line that its not really worth arguing about. Good work um, true to form as ever
(see I can use excessive smilies too!)

Ill but in on this one if I may. Wigleys appointment was a farse end of.
The reason being that in 1995 we appointed Dave Merrington, a great servant to the club and a massive influence on coaching. He didnt cut it and was released, thus ending his relashionship with SFC.
In 2001, we Lost Hoddle and again Stuart Gray, another respected and great coach was given the job and a few months later he was released again ending his relashionship with SFC.
In 2004 after Sturrock, Wigley was appointed and yet another great coach was given the job, he didnt cut it and again ending a relashionship with SFC after a few months.
Those 3 appointments were a farse and surely after 2 coaches being offered the job and then being released you would have relised that it wont work. As for 'worldclassmanagers-r-us' at the time there were plenty of "managers" around. George Graham being one of them.
So if your coin comes up heads twice it will come up heads a third time? Because your theory appears to be that promoting from within will always fail?
As to George Graham I remember at the time someone saying that he's knees had gone as that there was no way he would go back to managing. Something rather born out by the fact that he has not taken another post despite being linked will all the open positions around that time.
Me personally yes. It was a snap decision by Lowe. Considering Arry had left Pompey less than 2 weeks before on bad terms.
But hindsight is a wonderful thing and if Arry had kept us up, we as fans would be syaing something different
It was a snap decision by the board and is one that IMO was one where redknapp was not Lowe's prefered candidate (born out somewhat by the fact that when Burley was appointed he was quoted as saying something like "This time I have got the person for the job I wanted")

I was going to attend and ask 3 questions :-
1/ Has AC any comments on the Share Buyback in Oct 2004, where the money from 450 season ticket holders was used by the club the buy it own shares. This took place one month after the appointment of Steve “out of his depth” Wigley. Does AC feel this demonstrates the SHOCKING MANAGEMENT of the FOOTBALL CLUB that took place in late 2004 that led to our relegation that season ?
2/ AC made comments to the Echo on 27 May 2006 when he and Lowe were trying to deceive the fans by getting a PR company to post on Fans web sites. His comments were “This is a perfectly legitimate business tool today and we have used the PR Office for a number of years”
Ask AC how much the club has wasted on the PR company trying to get the fans to like a certain person ?,
Are they still using a PR company ? And does he regret those comments in 2006, because IMO he is treating the FOOTBALL fans like dirt by making them ?
3/ The Open Letter re the SISU offer point (d) made reference to “change of owner clauses” on the stadium loan and “much debate about them in 2006”.
Ask AC whether these clauses were “signed over” to Wilde’s mob in 2006. If they were withheld (which I think happened), did AC know the Echo was running a story in July 2006 saying that “10 Investors were ready to put money in ……IF THE CONDITIONS were right”
(NOTE : there is a difference between a Takeover and people putting Investment into the CLUB, they are 2 different things, do NOT let the LLs merge the two).
Ask AC what comes first for Rupert and himself, (a) the FOOTBALL Club or (b) his own personal interests ?
As I said at the beginning I was going to attend tonight but I fell off a ladder on Monday and have fractured a bone in my back and cannot come now.
LOWE OUT !!!!
I am sure they would be happy to take up half the meeting asking long rambling questions that they will then not answer and be well within their rights not to. With people like you asking these sort of confrontational questions its hardly surprising that Lowe is not attending.
