Can I ask again if anyone knows when the creditors meet to hear what the CVA proposal will be? I know that the creditors have agreed that a CVA be arranged but is there a timeframe within which the proposals have to be offered and voted on?
I think that Birch cannot put forward a CVA suggestion till he knows how much he can sell the club for. So its something that has to happen after/during a takeover not before. I think.

Arry will be getting his calculator out... "so what's 5% of 30 Million??"

As I understand the trust's bid, they are hoping to buy the club for £1. The pledges and money raised from the issuing of shares is to be used to fund the losses of the club for the first 2 years.
Can someone explain how this is the best deal for creditors??

2 slices of bread with shippam's paste between them.
Used to walk along the roman wall in chi, past the shippam's factory, to get to the old swimming pool for lessons. Always remember it as the factory smelt awful!!

One question, why are the national press not all over this like a rash ?
God bless HMRC.
You don't get much coverage of small league 1 clubs in the national press.
-
yes, as long as the bottom 3 are all relegated at least 1 month before the end of the season.

"rather they are a reflection of the advocacy of families that visit the club and the work that the club has done to engage with supporters via a number of matchday events and activities."
Activities like raising money for charity for example?

it's only half the job if it's only goal-line.
I watched a streamed version of the game at Midd.boro. In the first half, Rickie Lambert chased the ball down the left touchline for 10-15 yards, and the white line could be clearly seen on the (left) crowd side. Ricky went on to score a "goal " in the final move, but the linesman belatedly gave the ball out - because everyone had stopped running (except Rickie) and he'd convinved himself it was out.
A video re-run of the incident showed that the ball was never completely over the line, and still in play and the goal should have stood.
Fortunately, we finished the job by beating Coventry, but it would have been quite unjust had it been more of a vital goal.
If we have the technology, it should be used to the full. Maybe we have to wait for the next " ba**s -up " in the Euros, when the ref gets it wrong AGAIN, and someone goes out. If it's France who suffer, I wonder what Platini will say then?..........
It's got to be an advantage of the hawkeye system compared to the sensor in the ball one. You can put electronics around the goal for the ball going over the goal line with the sensor version but its another thing to cover all round the edge of the pitch. For the hawkeye system just use the same camera's and beep in the officials ear if the ball goes outside the bounding box that is the playing area.

According to reports, Big Fat Sam is about to swoop down like a greedy vulture and pluck Paul Robinson away from Blackburn.
Now that raises some interesting questions.
If he signs Robinson it could leave him with four goalkeepers to pick from, Green, Henderson, Robinson and Sam Cowler.
Does it mean
a) that Robinson would be his number one, leaving a miffed Green keen to get away?
b) that Cowler, a promising 19-year-old academy product, would be shown the door?
c) that Robinson, Green and Henderson would all be competing for the first-team jersey (a very healthy, if expensive, situation for BFS)?
d) that he would prefer to have Green and Robinson competing for a place, in which case Henderson would be surplus to requirements? If so, is that proof that Henderson's signing was purely a ruse to keep p****y going so Wet Sham didn't lose the points?
e) that somehow, Wet Sham find a little legal loophole whereby they do not go through with the purchase of Henderson, but send him to hoover up more wages at p****y.
All this, of course, is on the presumption that Wet Sham beat Blackpool in the play-off final, something I'm by no means convinced they'll do.
or f) most reports about who is going to be signing who are usually wrong.
-
Is it going to be just for the goal line or all the lines? Arguments about whether a ball was out for a corner or a throw-in are much more common in games than close decisions on the goal line. For example couple of close decisions in the playoff match last night, neither led directly to goals but could have done, that could well have gone the other way if there was assistance for the officials.

I can't believe we didn't win this.
CORTESE OUT... FFS...etc.
Actually I suspect we have.? Its an award, like blue flag beaches, that can be awarded to lots of places.
Created in 2007, the Award is based on an independent assessment, commissioned by The Football League, of the family experience at all 72 League clubs during the 2011/12 season using 'mystery shopper' families and recognises the outstanding experience clubs provide for young fans and families at their grounds.A record 50 clubs from across all three divisions of The Football League were given the Award for 2012 - topping the previous highest total of 47 - with nine clubs securing it for the fifth year running. A total of eight clubs also won the award for the first time this year.

Hope blackpool win so Holloway can be reinstalled as the 'semi-comedy character' manager of the prem league.

the trust would be likely to work with partners. What better way for fans to support the club than by having pfc broadband, pfc credit card, pfc car insurance (and so on). No risk to the purchaser because the product is direct with another company - they're just using the pfc name.
The only internet connection that goes down... and then goes down again
and as for the car insurance they will only cover 20p in the pound on any damage and then refuse to pay even that.

POMPEY administrator Trevor Birch has confirmed Balram Chainrai is one of two parties interested in taking over the club.
In his clearest indication yet that the former owner is waiting in the wings to regain control at Fratton Park,
...
But Mr Birch, who has been looking for a buyer to take over at Fratton Park since February 17, stressed there is still no deal on the table.
Mr Birch said: ‘We are in discussions with two interested parties, one of which is Balram Chainrai.
...
‘There is no solid bid on the table from either party at present but we are trying to find an appropriate deal structure that works within the time frame.
‘We are also talking to our contacts in the market to encourage any other potential bidders to come forward immediately.’
The other interested party is not the Pompey Supporters’ Trust, according to Mr Birch, but he is helping the group to formalise its bid.
...
Mr Birch said there have been no discussions with Portsmouth City Council over the authority lending the club cash to boost its survival bid.
...
Scott Mclachlan, spokesman for the Supporters’ Trust, said the trust had received around 180 new pledges from fans after it appealed for an extra 1,000 supporters to come forward.

Other than that I guess they are a good idea, but I'd personally prefer some way of storing the 'free' leccy generated during the day and using it at a time when I need to use it - in the evenings generally!
One think I nearly had done with our solar panels is you can get a box that measures the energy from the panels and what is being used in the house and when more energy is being generated than being used it sends the excess to an immersion heater in your hot water tank and will only 'export' excess once that is warmed up fully. In our case it was not such a good idea as also had a new efficient gas boiler and insulated tank installed so the payback time would be too long but for anyone or oil or electric water heating it might be more worth while.
-
Even with the reduced tariff they are still a good investment so if you have the money to pay for them yourselves its worth considering. When we had ours installed last year it was about 9K for 4kW but that's down to about 5 or 6K now I believe.

We do not want to sell any of these players, but it is a necessity. We are losing money hand over fist. There are ongoing costs so anything raised goes straight into the company.‘We will need to raise whatever we can get and if we need more time to get a new owner then the sale of players gives us that.
...
He added: ‘With Jason, there is also a sell-on from Leeds worth 20 per cent.
Must say it shows an unquenchable optimism if you are staring down the barrel of liquidation but still negotiate a sell on clause for a player.
-
So as fire sales go its looking a bit of a damp squib at the moment!
They can't even get the money for Henderson till after this weekend as West Ham's season has not yet finished. Even them one would assume it would be in the hammers interest to delay paying for as long as possible.
-
They also seem to actually have found some REAL talent this year, probably because Cowell has nothing to do with it any more.
Joshua Ledet is going to be a massive star. His voice simply ain't natural
Lots of people in Cowell's show have voices that simply ain't natural after they have been autotuned.

I wonder if there is a scenario where Chinny negotiates with the trust such that the trust takes over but chinny still gets the lions share of the parachute payments? Maybe transfer his charge over to whatever new company is set up by their trust?

But Appleton was adamant the prospect of putting on a royal blue shirt next season was one which appealed to targets.
He said: ‘We’ve got an idea of budgets.
‘I’ve got some real mileage on my car, I know that much.
‘Nobody has laughed in my face yet.
Not to hard then to convince these guys they are signed up...
Must say Kitson in the middle is aging very well.
