Exactly that, the fact that I will support my team through thick and thin, which the stayaways show they don't. Either way, we'll have to agree to disagree. It's my opinion that the lost revenue through the gates from the people that haven't turned up due to Lowe COULD have stopped SLH going into administration. Either way, if and when the club goes out of business, they can all stand back with their chests pushed out harping on about how, along with Lowe and Wilde, they helped send OUR club to the wall.
-
My boss, come on, surely you are better than throwing the old Lowe luvvie crap around, when I'm clearly not. I have tried bloody hard to do good things for this club, including setting up a Facebook group so that we can let those that don't support the club as avidly as us know about the various causes going on. It has 14000 members and the amount of people sending good will messages abou what they are doing supporting the club with donations, buying merchandise because of the group is overwhelming, so personally I find it ****ing insulting to be regarded as a Lowe luvvie. However, just because I say something you don't agree with does not mean that I am.
-
Yes, SLH. If it was to get a rise out of people your insulting behaviour shows it works. The point is, I believe that a large reason between SLH being solvent and insolvent is due to stay away fans. Your over-zealous behaviour doesn't really count for much. Many of the posts I have debated with, but in a good natured way. Yours I find irritating and pointless, for example the amount of times you've argued the pedantic difference between SFC and SLH.
-
I agree about David Jones, seems strange that throughout all this he has kept his job...
-
Will suck for money.
-
Since when have I alluded to SFC and not SLH. The point I'm making is that if people had turned up SLH wouldn't be in admin, so wind your neck in and go back to COD4.
-
It's not on an annual basis anyway, it's over about 38 weeks. And I'm not saying the downfall of the club wouldn't stop people going, but after the amount of people who came on saying they would go back if Lowe left, it seems we should still get a fair attendance. No one knows the true number of those people. But the last home match before Lowe left had an attendance of 18,961 (QPR), yet against Palace it was 23,220, make of that what you will.
-
The point is I'm not arguing about the downfall of the club, that is down to Lowe, Wilde and mismanagement of funds. However, I'm talking about the difference of going into admin and not, which could be a very small monthly amount.

Really? I suppose Beatts was one wasn't he
-
I will admit and change my opinions if people can convince me that I am wrong, and there are lots of people that argued it was more than the number I speculated. Either way if it was even £500 a match for the last 20 home games, that's still £260,000, and if it's 5000 then it's £2,600,000. Either way it is a substantial chance that could well have helped keep the bank from foreclosing on the debt.

People like Michael Kightly and Kevin Doyle would be good enough, but CCC teams would ask for too much money...
-
It is a horrible thought the amount of clubs that are struggling, the Prem and the lure of it is going to destroy many more as well...
-
Sorry, don't understand that second sentence. The way I change my mind, in relation to what? If you want to have a go at me for this, actually do some research like UP, instead of following like a sheep.
-
To be fair though UP, we have been told many times that the number of people not going were in the thousands, so that's why I've used that, plus, an opinion can change in 6 months! Also, that is multiple of 10 and not power of... The attendance was after a sustained period of far lower attendances, and so at the time that looked to be getting back towards the previous years attendances. The blame is back due to the fact that previously we weren't in administration then and looking to go out of existence. As said above, all blame will be absolved if we find a buyer
-
To be fair we were told differently, time after time by the people who didn't go, so that's why I quoted that number, as that's the number we were led to believe.
-
You certainly have more faith than I do.
-
I honestly don't have a problem with uniting, and I have tried to do a lot to help (been on the marches, helping to set up different initatives to save the club etc), but it doesn't mean that if we go out of business I can't blame who I feel are partly responsible. If we get a new owner, and we don't go into liquidation, I will gladly admit that those who boycotted were correct to!
-
I just hope we get someone to own us, but I'm starting to have my doubts, but as ever I am hoping for a sensible owner who will not try out his ****ing experiments on this club.
-
Where is Dibden Purley, have I missed something? I don't quite get what you're getting at with this post, can you be a little mores specific and less soporific?
-
Well if you take that seriously you have a problem.
-
Stop being such a pedant, the point is due to the PLC being in admin the club has 2 weeks to continue.
-
Erm, sorry if I assumed that SLH were in administration...and threats, sorry, what?
-
Lowe and the players.
-
I'm putting the blame that way because of the difference between being in administration and not, not what has happened previously, otherwise Wilde and Burley would have a lot to answer for. In other words, I think that those fans are 60-70% to blame for the difference between being solvent and insolvent. And the 4-5k number were the numbers the stayaways were pedalling whilst this was all going on, so just using their figures...

I'll leave the game 5 minutes early and stand outside Turnstile H, giving everyone a kick on their way out. There may be some friendly fire I'm afraid!
