This isn’t CEX you know. We won’t be able to flog 20 odd players

In fairness if anyone is going to take them, it'll be CEX!

Does any one know how to access the BBC Radio Solent commentary when you aren't in Hampshire? Tried BBC Sounds, Freeview 714 & 715 none of them work.

Any help much appreciated - I have walls to paint and am masochistic enough to want to listen to the sounds of a hot knife through butter while I do it

I'd also like the answer to this if anyone knows.

In fact I'd bet this is more than likely a more interesting discussion than the football.

I appreciate the irony in that comment

I expected around five at this stage from both Armstrong and Archer, not ground breaking numbers by any means but even that would have probably put us closer to the pack. I naively thought we'd discovered the best way to use Armstrong, he was coming into this season on the back of 25 goals and with the same managers/coaches who got that out of him, so I think most would have expected more than 2 at this stage tbh.

I also expected goals from BBD, not ground breaking numbers either but enough to at least put us in the pack.

I'm not saying any of these guys are any good, but I still thought they were a tiny notch better than this.

This is part of the insanity though; we had - out on the left.

So we thought, nah fuck that, tougher league, cleverer opposition, he's never been prolific before, lets start him as an actual number 9 instead.  One of just a number of bonkers decisions.

Our supporter base is far too passive though. In the Branfoot era I thought the SISA initiative was a good one and hoped it would continue, could do with something similar now.

Unfortunately though the original as I understand it fell apart. Not sure why was once told due to egos and internal squabbles.

But as you say, what is the protest against, shit results ? I don’t think people are against Sports Republic as such, or Dragan, so much as some of his employees and their decision making.

Will echo Badgers comments above though, in that SR aren't really the issue, in fact we might (further down the road) be better with them than without (money, multi club model etc), but it's been the decisions of those that they have chosen to trust, to make sensible footballing decisions, that has been the issue.  Sure, that is partially their fault but they aren't footballing people, that's what they thought they were bringing in.  That's another error.  Hopefully we are starting to correct that with new appointments, though reports that we are STILL looking at cheap Championship options (Ollie Tanner - really!?!), which is basically what we have anyway throughout the squad, suggests some muppets still have too much control.

  4. I thought ABK was going to get his chalice under Juric. Is he actually shit too and we've just forgotten due to time or did Juric mean "chance to leave".

As for shop window-ing Sulemana, it might be better if we just stuck him back in the box, in the store room and showed potential suitors the whole 90 mins Vs Liverpool instead.

This is a laughable line up.

Hey come on, no need to be too despondent. We all knew this run of games was going to be tough. Just have to stand tall.

THB possibly Bendarek, Downes, and Dibling are back. The side will have more balance and structure as a result of that.

    I would have

    Lumley

    KWB THB Wood Manning

    Dibling Downes Aribo Fernandes

    Armstrong Archer

I'd prefer Onuachu but presume he's unfit.

A midfield that might just contain Villa would very a good starting point.

The grim reaper can f*** off we aren't dead yet.

    COYS

I love this optimism, and I wouldn't want to strip you of that so Happy Christmas.

On the positive side, no we are certainly not dead.  Literally speaking of course!

Premier League wise though, yeah we were down at game 10.  No team has ever survived having so few points at that stage, we have a upper-mid champ team, with a mid champ manager.

Are you sure it's not because the manager has us playing passive, shite, boring, predictable football and the team has 4 points from a possible 33?

It's probably this, thinking about it!

🚨️ Postecoglou: “Inconsistency this season is down to me. That's my responsibility”.

“The inconsistency we're having this year, ultimately it comes down to me and my approach”.

“It’s something I need to try and fix and see if I can help the players in that area”.

That's what Ange Postecoglou said after their loss today. Shows strong leadership and awareness that he may have to adapt as a manager.

    The total opposite of RM.

That's because he's not winning the % stats like our Russ.

It's quite sad to see someone who was such a hero last year be so out of his depth.

It doesn't help that he's not played in the position he excelled in last season either. Because, why the fuck would we. He's not a number 9 but I do think he could still do a job on the left.
