I got some replies! http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/191961-Bring-Back-Safe-Standing Up yours bear. I am more popular over there than you are over here! You should go over there full time as tokyos, you'd maybe make a friend or something.

If David Baddiel and Frank Skinner have learnt (sic) us one thing, it's that old football was rubbish.
-
I've always liked Lawrie Mc, I can't believe some people on here. Really unfair on a club legend.

If you are watching Glasgow - this is how you troll!
-
If we needed one to take over tomorrow until the end of the season who would you choose? You can even take 10 years of LM to make him less mental if you like.
-
I've set you up as a single mum from Dustable on mumsnet. You're a right slag! Most people over there hate you but you do have a hardcore following. I'll hand it over to you in a couple of months.

I go by the name pap on 6 different forums now, including mumsnet.

Cheers Baz! I think MLG posts on there, along with on the sigames forum and on twitter. Don't worry though, he just posts the same stuff or gets info from one and puts it on the other like it's his own.

His lack of knowledge of the international players explains his role with the FA and the England team in the 90's. Can we not knock it!?!

My Granddad used to think that typewriters were better than computers and that having 4 channel instead of 3 was excessive, that was his opinion.

Better at what?

Where he was a massive failure - biggest they have ever had according to their fans. http://www.rokerreport.com/2011/10/18/2495879/top-ten-worst-safc-managers

Or have a different opinion from you. They were different eras of the game. Apart from the 11 players and the ball, almost everything else is different. The change is not as great as the change in rugby but it is close. The player are the best from around the world now, not just around the country. The game is an international one, managers need to be motivators, tacticians, have a broad knowledge of football from around the world, sports scientists, at least a base knowledge of human biology, physiology, handle overpaid teenagers, over hyped players, huge egos bloated by 24 hour sports news, the big clubs are bigger, richer and have larger squads, the gulf between the teams has hugely increased etc etc I think Lawrie would struggle if he were a manager now. Therefore despite LM's achievements, for me NA is a better manager.

The best bit about talk sport is where Keys and Grey have to give info on what shed is on offer at Wicks or whatever. This really shows how far they have fallen. Bet every time they mention 2 for 1 emulation, they curse the day they went on about that birds tits.
-
Is it a fact or is it your opinion? The game was simpler back then, less sports science, motivation has moved on from drinks together if we win, the pressures are greater, press attention is far greater, you can't just play 44fecking2 any more etc. That's not to say NA may not have struggled a bit in the 'good old days'. Back then, you probably had to be more a leader of men. I can't see Nigel out drinking many of the team. I agree with this.

If they are anything like the lost farmers they have been digging up for SSN interviews recently, I am ready.

And some people say he was our best ever manager (Que MLG with the stats to show he was). He really is a dinosaur and managed in the era of Big Ron, causal racism, smoky back rooms and back handers. He wouldn't last 10 minutes in the modern game, Adkins was far superior.
