  1. Another development https://uk.news.yahoo.com/manchester-united-drops-plans-rainbow-164221091.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly91ay5zZWFyY2gueWFob28uY29tLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAAZyTaMsU_aiH8g5F-sJoInWtce6mHUsB14eax-koQBGHaMdtXnD3SFsUEXPyxksrwE4aVnB-4bdaXusP7zO3uUJOerDHwk5YAS2VC2Rw7u-b5S4RKIkCwPbvBumf5shfc8Lk3liPG-giQ-pRIMl5F76W8ZiGfxv58k3X5WbFZS1 man united dropped plans to wear rainbow jackets after their players refused to wear them in show a display of solidarity with a Muslim player so they chose to support islam over supporting LGBTQ+. Guess Islam is currently top of the Woke league
  2. by writing “Jesus loves you” on an armband was Guehi actually showing extra support to the LGBT community by saying Jesus loves them? Is this now wrong? So do you think Morsy was right to refuse to wear one or not? Are Muslim players also making a religious statement by not wearing rainbow laces and armbands due to their religion?
  3. I know this is your nonstop bit of whataboutery but Whelk has summed it up pretty well. Remberance sunday is something to honour the fallen soldiers and something thats been done for decades. James McClean is perfectly entitled not to wear a shirt with one on and he has some valid reasons for why he wouldn't want too. However the issue a lot of people have with his action is that he's fine to take the money working in this country but doesnt want to respect the people who fought to make that a possibility for him. Whether that's valid point or not is not really relevant to this discussion, So stop bleating on about the frigging poppy. It's also different because the FA have granted an exemption to him. Whereas in the case of Palace and Marc Guehi he was warned of his behaviour. In the case of Morsy they announced they wouldn't take action. Granting exemptions, warning players and announcing no action to be take is pretty strange things to do when it's apparently completely the players own choice.
  4. Mark Bowen on signing Vestergaard also a reminder that Hughes was sacked after getting 7 points from the first 10 games
  5. Anyone know what happened to Les Reeds secret file of managers we've been tracking for years?
  6. When his latest suspension is done he'd have missed 7 out of 18 games due to suspension and been sent off in two of the ones he's played. Absolutely ridiculous.
  7. Who decided 14 games was the measure of success? who decided 38 games was the measure of success? On an eternal timeline this things are pretty irrelevant. No one wins the sport of Soccerball. Sure some clubs might have short term success but at the start of next season everything is back to zero. Look at how happy everyone was with the dopamine hit they got May 25 2024, now everyones hedonic adaptation has gone back to it's natural level. You and other fans short termism is the reason why you dont run in Soccerball, you just dont get it. Quoting small arbitrary groups of fixtures as some proof failure is such narrow minded thinking. A dynasty takes decades to develop measured in centuries. Im glad the owners of Southampton Soccerball Club have a much more holistic approach to the sport than many of our fans.
  8. He didn't actually say that, what he said was the players are fighting for us regardless of style of play and they believe in what we are doing. They are fighting, they've not down tools no doubt about that. Without so many key players we were always going to lose, the issue he has is that if we'd have lost 5-1 and Chelsea had scored 5 decent goals then most people would have accepted we'd lost to a very good team, in form with almost a B team. The problem he has is that yet again we gave away silly goals due to how he's wanting the team to play when clearly the players aren't capable of doing it. His captain who he has backed and found a way to play despite pretty much every fan knowing he shouldn't be near the first team squad let everyone down yet again. When he serves his four match ban he'll have missed 7 out of 18 games due to suspension and been sent off in 2 others, that is ridiculous to even suggest he's been brilliant for us. I read last night the most ever goals given away due to errors is 10, by Brentford. we have now given the opposition 9 goals in 14 games so almost there with 24 games to go. Absolute suicide football.
  9. So where in this instance a muslim has refused to wear a rainbow armband due to his religion, how we should he be judged?
  10. Exactly this. People are obsessed with looking at short term results, not ALL the data. The actual score tells part of the story not all of it.
  11. He’s learning a lot. That’s why he’s still here trust the process
  12. Tesco still need shelf stackers, the CPS and Guardian haven’t needed your “skills” for 20 years I wouldn’t be boasting too much about your career
  13. You’ve got proof you can send by email of your boss in the 70s pretending to squeeze his breast in the direction of his secretary? Course you have 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  14. i saw him when he was out for a run the other day, wound down my window and told him i really believe in what he's doing.
  15. we're 14 games into the season, he's missed three due to suspension and got sent off in two others. In what world is that amazing? 🤣
  16. he's been a first team player since 2017, he shouldn't be learning basic stuff now FFS
  17. which is why he bought Suga on, get it wide to him, back inside and across, Archer doesn't do that.
  18. hows the possession stats looking? Check this and you find your answer.
  19. Just on my way back from a VERY interesting couple of days in Ireland. Cork, then Dublin. Keep checking this page for the BREAKING NEWS.
  20. His team concede goals by the bucket load, it was a car crash waiting to happen to expect it to work in the premier league when it didn't work in the championship
  21. Where do we find them
  22. second straight red card too, 5 game ban i think? What an utter knob not only shouldn't he be there because he's shit, he also very indisciplined.
  23. Looking at the positives We never lose we win or we learn we have learnt an awful lot in that first half It's harder to play against 10 men so we've got a great chance in the second half only one of our goals conceded came from a goalkeeping error 9 goals this season have come from mistakes, so the vast majority of the time we play it out we dont concede. The record low points is still on Breaking our own record defeat is still on Martin is failing which means he's going to be better in the future for it Things really are looking up.
  24. Its insane to even think they've been told to do it. It's clearly just the goalkeepers making individual errors, not what theyve been instructed to do.
