A best option for a player is always to be playing every week even more so to play in a team that hopefully should be at the top of the table that wins more than half our games being a squad player in a big club getting the odd 10 minutes here and there and playing in the league cup doesn’t do any one any favours especially not the player and I wonder why if it’s the reason so many of these young superstars never quite fulfil their potential. Two- three years of barely playing is a long time when you’re 18-20 and in your prime breakthrough years the counter argument is it’s a short career and a move like that might never happen again.
