I'm block 41 right near to walk way. I'll be very near them, be able to smell the fish...
Before I supported saints, I thought that their was only two things that smelt like fish; and one of them was fish, after going to watch saints play pimply it did not take me long to learn that their is in fact three.

Mmm, not a good idea playing Puncheon who is a passing/dribbling player, when you're putting Lambert up front on his own and playing hoofball because the pitch is a disaster. AP got the tactics wrong today, just like Leeds did last week. Having said that, I think the top teams will ALWAYS struggle to win at grounds like this - they're set-up to be good in the CCC and can't play their own game in these conditions.
Still positive about Saints overall, about the team, about AP...in short I'm still happier this season than I have been for 4-5 seasons. It was not a loss let's face it. However, I think our play-off hopes are over and THAT knowledge might ruin the rest of the season including JPT. I think Poopey could be too much for us.
That puts in perspective, good post.

Here is my effort... not that I'm that interested in changing the current design - just for fun - as the OP intended.
I love round badges for some reason and adding the stripes in maintains the "stripes" history for one season with the diagonal sash (if that is the shirt)
Nice work, I have to say that I am impressed with that, I do not like the existing badge too much anyway. However, this effort is very good and prefer it over the old one.

If it isn't then there is something seriously wrong.
I'm fully expecting three points.
Careful,Leeds lost there just a few weeks ago, so three points will not be as easy as some are saying
-
Have we got any closer to playoffs? Don't have league table to hand
Up to 11th in the table
-
3 points which was what mattered, but disappointing performance really for the majority of the game.
Still, onwards and upwards
As I can only follow this on the BBC text that was certainly the impression I got, however, if we can play badly and still get the three points that has to be a plus in my book.

Before the mongs come in and mong all over the thread
http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D2/oform.html
Based on last 8 games form we are 3rd
So none of that "we should be better blah blah" ******** please
Obviously Brentford is a hard place to go, lost only 2 games there etc..
But we were lucky not lose this one, Kelvin saved our ass.
Soon as James went off we seemed to lose our creativity.
We really need to get someone in who can create stuff from the centre of midfield. let's hope we get someone in soon.
Correct meI am wrong, but I think Leeds lost at Brentford just recently; so in all honesty to come away with a draw is not that bad.

Giving Palace -10 points won't help them or punish those responsible(they leave the day of admin like Lowe did at Saints).
It may lead to them getting relegated possibly and harder to make money in League One and start a vicious circle meaning more problems in the future.
Well done Lord Malwhinney!
I have to second this post, Malwhinney's whole reasoning behind the ten point penalty was to stop it from happening; well guess what is does not work so what purpose does it fullfill other than cause more potential misery and make it harder to find buyers, the man is so out of touch it really is not funny; as like others on here my sympathy to the Palace fans.

What about the Fu-Cup, You know we had a few of them under Lowe
Now that was quite brilliant and made me LOL
-
Shut them down Mr Taxman and we will love you more than can know. whoa ohh ohh (again to the mrs Robinson Tune)
There is of course a Beatles tune called "Tax man" from the revolver album, I am sure it would be easy to fit suitable lyrics to that tune.

Oooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh Jesus!!!
Oh dear, I will have to make an appointment with the shrink tomorrow, this is due to becoming aroused about this forthcoming match.

Would you want to live in Leeds, capital of NorthernMonkeyLand ?
Having been with Spurs I would guess he is a southern lad which I think always has a part to play with players changing clubs, anyway Leeds is a great place to come from, its just a lousy place to go too.
-
Agreed signing perminent or loan only option now!!! Straight red for morgan so thats 3 games out plus hammond out for at least another 3, we cannot rely on James and wotton alone for that long even if both did well tonight.
I do not understand why AP does not give Jamie White a run out, he could fill this role and get goals, no doubt about it IMP.
-
Lovely win!
A good win yes, however, and I can only give an opinion based on what I read on the BBC text during the game, it seemed like we were camped in their half and only won by one goal. Surely this underlines the need for another striker to assist Lambert, please Mr. Connelly get fit soon, or a goal scoring mid field player.
-
Need a proper right back as James isn't, Murty is a bit of a sick note so Otsewotsit can fill in the gaps when Murty's injured. Have more midfield cover now with James there so I'd like us to sign a quality striker and I'll be happy!
Cortese isn't going to be splashing a absolute fortune so I think the signings so far are pretty wise.
One more excellent signing of a striker and I'll be happy for this window!
You could be right about the striker Saint_Ash, however, I think AP should look longer and harder at Jamie White; okay I am bias in that his Dad is a very good friend of mine, but I really believe that Jamie could do a good job linking up with Lambert; he just needs a real chance to show what he can do.

Seabourne has signed a 3 1/2 year contract - according to official saints twitter feed
Just come up on breaking news in the Echo as well.

Really sad, this is happening to too many clubs now, its about time the FA stepped in and did something drastic or football is going to fade away
I have to agree, when you look at the whole picture then football at this level of cost is not sustainable; ther are millions and millions pouring in, but most of it falls through the floor in players wages and transfer fees. Just look at the level of debt in the premiership alone, then of course as their costs go up so does the lower leagues below who have much lower revenues of course.
I was watching Sky Sports News the other week and their was a piece on Chelski, it showed Terry arriving for training in a Bently; come on this is really taking the Pxxs if you ask me, sure there life as a pro footballer is short, but does it really justify the current level of wages? Frankly I think you are right when you suggest the F.A. has to step in, in addition it needs FIFA as well so as to come to some sort of deal on wage capping.
The reason I say that is that it would of course be unfair if the rest of the footballing world did not come on board, for the simple reason just about every player in the premiership would slap in transfer requests to mobve to clubs that offered the big money; it has to happen at some point, therefore they might as well get on and do it now.

'End of the week, hopefully' SSN
The latest on SSN is tomorrow morning, just after the interview with Gordan Taylor, he did say that he was confident that Portsmouth would pay its players by the end of the week, however, when asked about the long term he had no answer to that question.
-
They failed to pay the players again today.
SSN now saying it will be tomorrow.
I wonder what morewhingy would do if they were in the FL as opposed to the premiership, I really cannot see a way forward for them, the whole thing seems to be a financial deadlock.

So, that means Gheydamak steps into the shoes of the Bank, ramping up his debt by another £2.5m. Presumably this is the amount of the overdraft and the Bank account woud have been stopped on Notice of the Winding Up petition.
The telling part is that even Gheydamak doesn't believe the Al Mirage is the beneficial owner. The Premier League will have some answers to find as this sordid episode unravels.
I think you are spot on Faz, as this saga goes on it only seems to get worse, the Chairman of Lens also said much the same thing with referance to the ownership of Portsmouth. what we all know is that their situation is dire, however, their are I am sure things we are not fully aware of yet and these will have to be aired in the coming weeks. I thought our situation was bad when we went into admin, but frankly it does not hold a candle to theirs.

Sol C?
Not for me either, well past his sell by date I am afraid.

That's how I read it, clever mind games and like you said taking the pressure off us, smart move IMO.
