or to put it another way, over 34 games we gained 14 points over Leeds, 16 over Charlton - so won about 5 more games than teams going up
-
and Pardew said yesterday that he wants to add championship players in summer
-
great signing tho
-
...although the full league table is obviously the one that counts, at the end of September a few of us thought that was when Pardew's team really should be judged. The league table, since September, which is 75% of a season, gives a good indication as to where we are with our progress and how next season may go: Norwich 79 Saints 71 Millwall 71 Swindon 64 Huddersfield 62 Leeds 57 Charlton 55 Colchester 51 Brentford 48 Brighton 46 Wallsall 45 Carlisle 44 MK Dons 42 Bristol Rovers 40 Hartlepool 39 Oldham 37 Gillingham 36 Millwall could be the team to look out for next season if they don't go up
-
no reason we can't follow and good to hear Pardew say so!
-
a club can't have an interest in another clubs player (except loans and sell on)
-
something to look forward to. Pardew's realistic views on next two season. Enjoyed today and the season and good to be able to look forward.
-
no. They probably get more annoyed about sentences than public
-
police have no say, and make no representation on sentences
-
would be much better off saying we give up and don't care, no-one would moan if Huddersfield lost all three and we hadn't tried.
-
he was on solent this morning saying he was told he will be judged after 18 months and he needs to show that the team are on their way up from this division - looking forward to seeing all of his 3 year contract out -
-
if no-one leaves, (from 1st team squad) I would like a top RB, a CM to partner MS, and possibly a CB. I can't imagine we could improve much on many other positions with the level we are at.
-
yes...could be signing loads
-
1 Lambert 2 Schneiderlin (close 2nd) 3 Lallana 4 Harding 5 Fonte - not really played enough of season
-
rather than luck I wish them justice - whether they want that I don't know;)
-
I would think Lambert, Fonte and Puncheon are some of the most likely to still be here next season
-
if they just shook fences they are not going to jail. if they do end up going to jail I am fairly confident that they will have deserved it.
-
how much have they improved since they signed then?
-
where would they go? Both are recently signed so would command a good fee and salaries. How many teams, in current climate, can afford, attract and want them?
-
when we signed him, 11th January, we were 10 points off the nearest playoff rival - Swindon, who had played 2 games less. I doubt he only came expecting promotion this season
-
I meant Fonte was superb - looked so easy for him
-
I don't think it is so much a criticism - just that he is that good you are never going to have a back up CM of that quality.
-
you could put a strong argument for him being our most important and consistant player this season. We haven't played without Lambert to see how well we can manage with Papa/Connolly/Barnard/Antonio etc. But we clearly miss Schneiderlin's quality as soon as he is out.
