To all those who think we can wait for next season for promotion
NickG replied to alpine_saint's topic in The Saints
you don't rate Schneiderlin so don't worry about that one, surely no-one else would want him? -
13 points from last 6 games (plus an easy cup win at Wembley) and still we moan?
-
most people in Southampton choose not to support saints on match day, so what you have joined them
-
so, as Fratton Park heads towards being half empty, corps cannot find any prem games when we didn't sell out the home end? poor poor support from Portsmouth
-
6 games left for most teams. if teams repeat their form from last 6 over next 6 the table will look like this: Norwich 98 Swindon 92 Millwall 91 Charlton 85 Leeds 80 Huddersfield 72 (1 game left) B Rovers 71 Saints 70 (1 game left) Colchester 67 MK Dons 62 so us 2 points behind Huddersfield - with us both having one more game, all other teams finished.
-
skates been offering £10 tickets to every home game! when did we suffer similarly low home attendances? Think our crowd only dipped in league games when away wasn't sold
-
I would like to see a decent performance and enjoy a win

Lloyd is fronting a group of investors interested in taking on the club and Andronikou expects him to lodge a non-refundable deposit of £3 million with the administrators' lawyers on Tuesday http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/leagues/premierleague/portsmouth/7451028/Portsmouth-administrator-opens-talks-with-consortium-as-Sol-Campbell-wins-1.7m.html

5,000 deposit? wasn't it a few million a few weeks ago? looking for the link. why has it gone from millions to thousands?
-
up to you, but we have had many games when we were safe but not going to qualify for Europe - most fans don't suddenly stop enjoying seeing saints play. I am looking forward to it.
-
longest gap between posts on here? 2 1/2 hours! All gone quiet - they have got away with it!
-
a mild, fairly quiet pantomine groan at most. Enjoy the win!
-
as the small group of fans who post on here can't agree on anything not sure how anyone could claim to speak on behalf of all fans? Personally don't see the need or benefit for all these "fans on the board" things, let owners own, boards run the club, managers manage, players play and supporter support - or is that too simple?
-
totally agree
-
both - he won't be managing Leicester in Europe in my lifetime.

Apologise for being vague in this post, but heard a story yesterday about Pardew and his reaction to Sunday. It was from someone who knows him well. Unfortunately I have been asked not to pass on our conversation but I was pleasantly surprised how proud and excited Pardew was about the win. It meant a huge amount to him and his family.
-
Supporting your team should be about enjoyment, I have enjoyed more games this season than I can remember - and have nearly recovered from Sunday! We are lucky to have Markus, Cortese and Pardew - but they will consider themselves lucky to have the support they have had.
-
good move for him.
-
he's not, Puncheon and Lallana, thought you go a lot?
-
Midfield of likes of Puncheon, Wago, Lallana, Antonio, Schneiderlin doesn't sould like a one dimensional long ball midfield?
-
no, but said he would expect all season ticket holders to take up their two, plus members - giving 26,000, and there should be at least a couple of thousand who have been to three games, taking it to 28,000 who should be demanding their ticket.
-
FA Cup ticket sales Had the Quay on this evening. They were talking about their fa cup ticket sales. The presenter said he was embaressed as they were going to go on general sale. They offered 2 per season ticket holder (12,000 so they said) also offered to members (2,000) also offered to anyone who has been to 3 home games this season and still going on general sale
-
another one Green Man - both before and after. Great atmosphere.
