In 2015 he was off sick for 17 weeks. 5 of those weeks with "muscle fatigue". 1x2 wks and 1x3wks.
Suspicious.
That'll trash his bradford factor score!!

Redmond was absolutely fantastic yesterday.
Running at players with pace (and beating them). Caused their defence trouble all game, until he came off.
Not been his biggest fan so far and have been crying out for him to play like that. More of the same please!
And also put in a great shift defensively... Didn't once "switch off" from his defensive responsibilities in that formation. Tadic too TBF

Unfortunately I doubt we'll ever see Jose back here after this. I guess you never know though!
Best moment for me was his diving header against Coventry in the promotion game. It was at that exact moment that I knew for sure we were going up.
Worst moment was probably a couple of weeks ago when he handed in a transfer request!
Probably see him back on 4th February when we play West Ham!!

Yeah that's pretty much where I am. I don't anything Puel should come under too much criticism until we get a striker in. Today we had more shots, more on target, more crosses, more corners, more possession. Just need a bit more bite up front.
Burnley had 33% of their shots "on target".. We had 25%... Stats can say anything... We still lost!!
-
20 shots to their 9
60% possession away from home
Which means absolutely bugger all... The only statistic that counts is 1 - 0

Does anyone honestly think that with the likes of Wanyama, Mane, Pelle or even Lallana still at the club we would really be any different under Puel?? I agree that the calibre of player we now have isn't anywhere near on a par with what we have let go over the last few summers, but I just don't see how, with the turgid, pedestrian, defensive style of football Puel has us playing that things would be any different if we had retained that talent. What brings out the best in Mane & Lallana, in particular at Liverpool now, is the pace at which the team plays and turns defence into attack allowing them to showcase their skills in the right area of the pitch against defences that are on the retreat not through slow, ponderous build-up play that allows defences to get organised and into position.

Didn't we manage 4 seasons in the championship before administration and league 1??

Hodgson & Neville dream team now available!!

I presume you realise that a manager usually only becomes a "name" once they've enjoyed a degree of success? Unknown managers tend to be unknown because they have either a) not achieved any success or b) have not achieved it on a grand stage.
My personal concern with appointing Puel is that, bar a fourth place finish with Nice (which I agree is impressive), his record isn't great and he's been sacked by both Lyon and Monaco. I'm willing to put the sackings aside as we don't know the circumstances but there is a track record for managers who have only managed on the continent not doing well in the Premier League (see Pepe Mel, Jacques Santini, Jean Tigana etc.)
I'll obviously support Puel when appointed but I can't pretend I think that it's the best appointment we could have made.
Utter ********... Mourinho, Wenger, Manchini, Pellegrini, Ancelotti, Bilic, Pochettino, Koeman have all been "successful" Premier League managers despite only having managed on the continent previously!!!

You know that article is over 2 weeks old don't you???

Harry Redknapp's only 25/1!!!

I guess you are still in denial about the Everton home match then. It was nowhere near a draw! They absolutely monstered us.
Indeed they did... For some unknown reason I had it in my head it was 0-0!! Must be old age!!
-
I believe we also beat 17 of the 19 teams we played (can you name the two we didn't?) and had no one do the double over us (but only did the double over one team - can you name them?)
Everton (2 draws) and Leicester (Draw and Loss)

With cheaper season tickets like WHU we'd easily fill a 45k stadium every week.
More families could afford to bring their kids
More young people could afford it
Older folk might be able to make it work
It wouldn't be such a big decision as it is now. Any argument about not filling it is closely linked to the cost of attending, not the size of the fanbase.
Come on saints, be brave, make a difference and get more people in and get the next generations involved as well by making it financially easier for them to be at each match.
But that's forgetting the fact West Ham are able to offer season tickets at a vastly reduced rate due to the fact that they have to bear little to none of the costs of actually running their "new" stadium.. The taxpayer is even paying to maintain the pitch and provide the goals and corner flags!!!
If Saints added 20k seats onto the stadium but reduced the ticket price to be a net equal income to today, where would the money to cover the extra costs incurred by having a bigger stadium come from?

This whole site is a colossal waste of time.
Except for Bearsy's insightful take on the world of course!!

There should have been a proper investigation and due process should have taken place .
Your lad is not working at The IOW branch at Newport is he ?
I would have thought after the Pritchard case , B&Q would have ensured their store managers were better trained in disciplinary investigations etc.
The Pritchard case , the out come was harsh but found to be fair. I previously read the the tribunal case notes a couple of years ago while advising on a potential dismissal case . Anyway
Send me a pm or I can send you my email address. I prefer to give advice away from this forum

Thanks for the advice... The store's actually in Wandsworth, London. As it turns out, he wasn't actually sacked on the spot on Sunday, despite telling his mum he had been originally, he was told that they were going to speak to the other employee regarding what she was doing on the till in question. She was next due to be in work today.
I'm hoping it's all been a bit of teenage over-dramatics/jumping to conclusions after being "questioned" and that the note the other employee could be seen putting into the till was actually a note to say she'd taken the £160 out to put in another till.

Hi
My 19 yr old son works at a large national DIY chain (I'm sure you can guess who). Today he has been informed that he's been sacked due to money being missing from the till he was logged into yesterday. He's only worked there for 2 months. The employer hasn't been able to show any evidence to suggest that he has taken the money, in fact, a poor quality CCTV actually shows another employee on the till at some point and putting a note into the till.
There's been no involvement from the HR department and he not been given anything in writing.
So, my question is, are they able to simply sack him "on the spot" or do they have to follow their disciplinary procedures, present evidence that he has taken the money and involve the police when there is an accusation of theft?
Thanks in advance

just recently or a while back? Can you provide a link?
It was in his post match interview on Solent yesterday

RK stated on the radio that Tadic is the designated taker, then JWP and if neither of them are on the pitch then it's Schneiderlin
-
Liverpool and Arsenal would both be away, not at home. Don't take it as a formality they'll get through.
I'm hoping Blackburn knock out the scousers so I can root for Bradford all the way, otherwise we need Arsenal to get there. Can't stand the idea of Rodgers winning anything.
Think you'll find they're all away technically, with the semi finals being at Wembley.

Even the BBC match report has been updated to show it as an own goal now!!

Is Woy insane?? As Albert Einstein would say, definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.... Picks the same team, plays the same slow, predictable game... Why would we NOT lose this as we did against Italy??
-
Yes really. It's not 99.99%. See my post again. I worked it out.
If only that we're what what your original post of just Fail!! was referring to...
So, what exactly is the math then?? I'm intrigued!!

Fail!!
Really??? Think you'll find it's not!!
