How many good players have we sold whilst Cortese has been at the Helm ? That should just about sum up where this Club is going.
Only thing I would say is that if we were in premier league then players would be seen by everyone and it would be much more difficult as it was when we were there last time.

None good point. He has done somew very good things I know.

If you are not anti Cortese why did you come up with a list of anti Cortese issues, most of which are at best dubious and in some cases plain wrong. If you want to canvas opinion put forward a balanced view including all of the positive aspects, of which there are many. People don't have to love or hate the man, but most sensible people can form an opinion based on his actions so far that he is doing a lot more right than he is wrong. Everyone makes mistakes, especially in a new field, but in the end we are in a better position now than at any time in the last 20 years (arguably) in terms of future prospects.
If I have one small beef with the current organisation it is the way that they have not embraced the past a little more, such as the apparent differences with MLT and Lawrie, but even here there are 2 sides to every story and MLT is clearly not the most intelligent bloke around when it comes to engaging brain before speaking. Even then the remaining members of the FA Cup winning team was brought back last year and Terry Paine involved last week. I think the icing on the cake would be to get Big Ron over for a game, I wouldn't miss that for the world.
I will never be sorry for sticking up for matt le tiss. His loyalty and his football skills are the best ive seen at saints. I wish everyone could get along. I dont have a big problem with cortese he has done a great job in lots of areas but he has his weaknesses as does le tiss.

He's been learning from the master of avoiding questions he doesn't like the answer to...
Easy steve whose that. I just think that the points he made are probably right. How are you anyway and where do you think we will finish this season? Are you still playing football?
-
No need for the little digs everyone, Roger has shown in this thread that he is willing to debate the points he's made so he's clearly not a "Cortese basher".
Im really not thankyou my friend.
-
No I just cant be bothered. They are all good points. Well you are a god so they should be
I think first day of season we have just gone up lets see what happens. I think its clear to see peoples opinions. Hes not doing a bad job.
-
Looks like that is a "no".
Too awkward to answer?
No I just cant be bothered. They are all good points. Well you are a god so they should be

I've never really thought your opinion of a chairman should influence your decision to buy a season ticket, I'd generally go more for team, affordability & whether or not you can get to enough games to make it worth your while.
On the original post, you might as well have put a picture of a massive wooden next to it.
What's the point in dredging up issues from the past (most of which have been resolved), especially when you say it's only recently you've begun to change your opinion about him. When challenged about your attitude towards Cortese, you say that you're only garnering opinion but in you're opening thread you said that "a line needs to be drawn somewhere"
So are you truly trying to find out people's opinions of Cortese or are you trying to encourage people to say where the line needs to be drawn?
If you really are (as you say) trying to get an impression of what people think of the chairman, why have you only included the percieved negatives about him in your opening thread and omitted the positives?
Okay delete the thread then. Im sorry. Le god good points.

Totally agree with the OP.
We need immediate action to get Lowe, Wilde and Crouch reinstated and get our club heading in the right direction again. Cortese hasn't got a clue...
No much rather have cortese. I have listed positves underneath too, take it easy.
-
Yes kingsland. You are one opinion I happen to value. I agree with all those comments, he has steadied the ship and the club seems on a sound footing. Will speak to you about it another time.
-
If I was him I would be astonished by the myopic, bigoted, ignorant, half-baked attitudes of some of the utter dinlos on this forum.
Thankfully, these weirdos are not representative if the public at large.
Jesus! Get it in perspective
-
Most of what you listed in the OP is rumour and not fact based. The ones that are facts are not put into context (such as season tickets which could be argued are in line with other clubs in this division and were too cheap before) If you don't have an agenda why start a thread like this without any balance?
In fact show me the threads in which show you have a balanced view of cortese?
Pretend "Im certainly not anti cortese" all you like but your agenda is clear
By the way...."amasing?"
Well im obviously not that much against him as I have paid £515 for my season ticket. Do grow up.
-
Stuart Dennis looked like he had something up with him, weird lives in a dungeon sort and looks at things he shouldnt on the net.
What a nice man you are.
-
That's funny I have seen you having a pop at Cortese on other threads so I don't belive you.
I put it to you that you are the blind one, who has a specific agenda on cortese...
Are you one of the dark forces?
I think he should ban you too!
Go back to sleep mate. Im certainly not anti cortese. Just dont think hes amasing.
-
Have we got over 29k today or not? Where has that come from?/
-
I would suggest you ask people at SMS if they think NC is doing a great job, and you will get a true reflection, you are not getting a true reflection on here, you need to cover the bigger fan base.
No dont worry Im not massively pro cortese or massively anti. I just want to know why delldays says that they have sold over 29k cos I am creaming myself about having a big crowd today lo.
-
Hows that going BTW. Typical bed wetting fan. Subconciously you miss the Lowe days so you could sit around moaning all day. Probably was jubilant when Wilde turned up and "saved" the club.
We have a superb Chairman who has turned the club around. He doesnt mind treading on a few toes and from what I can see most of the people he has ****ed off deserve it.
manji can weake friends now? I don't miss the lowe days at all. I think cortese is a different level. Who would you play today?
-
Okay. I've not got a problem just balancing put my views if u read positives. Dell says ur right most of the things you say. How did Morgan play at Yeovil as he's usually one if you're favourites and you said Hammond should start? Also as I asked is there defo 29k today?
-
How do I want things to go wrong? I've had a season ticket for 24 years. Still bought one. But just canvassing opinion
-
Getting attendances up!
Dell days how are u sure we have 29k sold?
-
Positives= saving club
appointing pardew and adkins
good buys winter 2010
gaining promotion under him
best players signing contracts
-
Are we overlooking all of his mistakes because we are at this moment doing well?? I was very much against lowe and have really been thinking cortese is brilliant up to very recently but a line has to be drawn somewhere.
Dubious things are:
pardew debacle-although adkins looks much better.
Banning echo
no pictures other than own guy.
Not attending 125 years event-poor.
Parking charge!
Season tickets going up steeply.
Players not agreeing terms allegedly.
Not a lot of money spent this summer.
Putting himself on programme.
I think as things are going very well we are tolerating it. However, if they weren't I reckon we wouldn't be happy or maybe we are tired if years battling lowe and haven't got the puff. Opinions? What price success?
-
It's pretty obvious that cortese is being a bit of a pain in the arse but because we all look at things from rose tinted glasses and things have gone well we cling to the hope he's doing everthing right.
-
Precisely my point. He plays in deep positions' date=' but what he's good at is building from the back when [i']we[/i] have the ball; he's not good defensively when they have it.
Not true. He is good defensively. His tackling has improved loads. He reads the game better now. I would say he takes possession off other teams more than any of the other midfielders.
Are u blind to cortese??

Yes but until the player has played at a higher level, some wont take that chance on them.
