Salisu
in The Saints
Hopefully he's one of the first to bugger off. Never really got the hype about him. Took an age to get regular football here because he wasn't ready mentally/physically for it (no problem in itself, I guess).
But seemed to win loads of plaudits for last ditch tackles which decent defenders wouldn't have had to make in the first place. Clearly doesn't care and based on his social media, obviously thinks he's some sort of billy big bollocks mega-star. Hopefully another team believes the hype, buys him for big money, and then he flops.

Just a reminder that we're still in a division above them next season
Even if we finish bottom of the Championship next season with zero points, it'll still be better than any position they have achieved in well over a decade. And they'll probably be out of the cups before we even enter the competitions.

If we politely clap loud enough could we get the game abandoned to save the embarrassment?

Behave, he's had 4 games, and no transfer window. He won the second half away at city in his first game, and drew with Newcastle in his second. Had Bamford buried the penalty, they'd have won.
He'd have kept us up imo.
Last time we played each of the current top 4:
We beat Arsenal in the first half and drew after 90.
We almost drew with City in the first half.
We drew with United after 90.
We beat City in the first half.
Selles is actually pretty successful to be fair.

Have we been relegated yet?

In the crowd today, apparently.

Well done Saints, just snuck in to the top 4 against all odds.
One of a small number of teams with a Net Zero target. Even fewer clubs decided to aim for net zero goals/points too. Trail blazers.

Maybe not logic, but he was obviously here, knew the league and the players and got that performance out of them at Chelsea. He was going to cost us nothing in compensation and he didn't expect a three year deal, survival or otherwise. The other options available weren't great and decent available managers were a bit thin on the ground.
In a season of utterly shit and inept performances, the fluke victory v Chelsea in Selles' first game in change was, unfortunately, the most disastrous result of the season. No way would he have stayed had we lost.

I'm numb to it. The Premier League is a less enjoyable league than it was in 2005. This team is less likable and less talented than 2005. There has been less drama (guts shown) compared the 2005. The managerial appointments have, unbelievably, been a bigger shit show than 2005. The atmosphere at games has been worse than in 2005. In 2005 we beat Pompey twice, this season I'm just glad we didn't draw them in the cup as they would have royally dicked us.

Thanks, you are correct. Its been bugging me and have not been able to find a fix. I'll give that solution a go!

When I post from my phone? I.e. the massive gap at the end of the message...only happens on SWF...

Doesn't start til the 2024 season, but looks like there'll be considerably more tv coverage going forwards, with 5 live matches per week for the Championship and a further 5 more shared between leagurs 1 and 2. So much for enjoying more 3pm kick offs when we go down (though great for people that can't make it to games). Will be interesting to see how attendances are affected

Everyone pumped and excited for today's game? Victory isn't guaranteed but it's great to know that we can fully expect to see free flowing attacking football, passion and desire from this set of players that bleed red and white.

2004-05 all over again. Gutless, talentless and leaderless.
We gave it a go in 04/05. No way in a million years will we get a performance like the Norwich 4-3 this season.

Not what he said, is it?

Needed to hold out for the win. We'd be sat 1 point off safety now and that's a huge mentality shift. Instead we could be 6 points behind by the end of the day and that's way too much ground to make up.
I thought you were supporting Arsenal?

Thoughts are invalid if they don't include the word 'shit' (though I do agree).
