The Alarm are at The Brook next week, one of my fave 80's bands. I couldn't believe my luck when they opened for Queen at Wembley in '86.

Excellent player, one of my favourites. He always gives everything, you can tell how committed he is by the way he harangues the ball boys to get the ball back to him quickly. He is generally solid, and I love the way he runs at the oppo, and he is one of our best tacklers, sure he has the odd iffy game, but so do all players, if we dropped every player that made a mistake we’d have gone through the whole squad by the 4th game of the season. I do wish he would shoot more often though.

He reminds me of a couple of players, Nick Homes, for his running style, and from where I sit he looks like Stuart Pearce, with whom he also shares his spirit & attitude.

I didn’t realise his contract was up, I thought he’d signed for 3 years.

Well done KD & the defence, thoroughly deserved, as is the place in the L1 team of the season. Better that Shilts - of course not, only an idiot would say so (however we appear to be blessed with many of them), But good enough for us at the moment & in the Championship, should we get there.

You're joking! KD is a liability. He's been a great servant in the past but I hope this is his last seaon with us. He's let in so many goals at the near post and the defence have to cover for him all the time. No way can you compare KD with Shilts!

I didn't know she was ill. The only link between 'my' Doctor Who & 'my kids' version is gone. I think my 10 year old will be quite upset by this, he is a massive fan of both Dr Who & the Sarah-Jane spin-off.

I saw that, the luck the mother continued to ride was extraordinary. I was wondering how a woman could go full term & still hide the pregnancy, but when the baby was born she was about 3lbs, but I'm sure even a baby that small would show on an emaciated body.

I thought the players played football rather than ran football clubs. By the way being very good at a sport doesn't mean you are a good coach, good tactician or good talent spotter. A pro brought Tony Pulis to the club. I wonder if Mourinho's thoughts on tactics/players were laughed at by pros at one point?

I'm not sure where I said that players run clubs, but I think the point you're making is that the awards were voted for by the players. This I'm aware of. My point is that the player are far more qualified to make that judgement call than the fans, they are playing against each other, and are in a good position to determined the best players they have faced, for example the right back knows which left winger has skinned him the most. The fact that most of them will probably not go on to coach or manage is irrelevant. I think their opinions are worth a lot more than the wannabe internet managers.

Everyone's an expert when it comes to football, but so few have the ability to make a living out of it.

I despair at the number on wanna-be, know-it-all managers on here, who think they know better than the pros. If that were the case they'd be running clubs instead of flexing their finger muscles from the safety of a keyboard.

The 1885 badge is rubbish, what has the fu#king queen got to do with SFC.

We are the last club she presented with the FA Cup. I think it's important that we recognise that in of badge, or crest as I prefer to call it.

My opinion, for what it's worth, and at the risk of being ridiculed for having an opinion, is that we should revert back to the previous crest. It may have been the club crest for 'only'30% of the clubs history, but it's been the crest for 100% of my supporting history. (which started in 1976, yes after the cup final, I was an 8 year old glory boy).
