Is the 24th Jan an International break?
Either side of it the Capital One Cup semis 1st & 2nd legs presently appear to be scheduled for 19th and 26th.

Also, who is the kid that Reed referred to with the mop-top and currently in the u18's that should be making his senior debut this season? Josh Sims?
U16 player to make u18 debut this season is the way I interpretted it.

Di Maria FFS? Ok as a team goal but not in the same class of skill as Pellès. Or Austins for that matter.
****ing United fan base... :-)

I read somewhere that Saints are so meticulous in their preperations that they've already done full checks on their proposed January signings. Their player research dept is supposed to be one of the best in the country. The names of most our latest new recruits were advised to RK and he agreed.

It didn't hit the advertising boards. There was a walkway between the goal and the boards, the net wasn't made of elastic...
It hit the metal poles which were used to hold additional nets at the side of the goals in the pre match warm up (to stop wayward shots flying into the crowd). They used to take them down before the match and lie them on the ground behind the goal.
Exactly what happened, the shot hit the ground and poles at the same time.

When I saw it I thought Tadic was trying to take the limelight and this should have been sorted beforehand, mind you the shortage of time before the season start didn't leave a great deal of time to sort out the nitty gritty bits.
To me it should have been JWP for most set pieces.

I travel from London for every home game and take my tablet to watch a movie etc on the train.

Money is the root of all evil.
Sort of being picky.
I thought the correct quote was "The LOVE of money is the root of all evil", I stand to be corrected.

I know we've been setting all sorts of precedents this close season but selling a player who's not even returned to full training from an ACL has got to be a first.
If JRod has the same loyalty as the others he will stay with us to recover and say his head is already at Spurs when January comes.

Its not often that you will find the owner of a football club reverred by the supporters in quite the way Markus is. Such is the legacy of a great man...thanks for the dream Markus.
This.

f*ck him. never cared for the club and only used it as a stepping stone. Keep as many of our team together, get in someone half decent and beat him next season. The tosser.
You'll look a fool if he stays.

Completely gutted. Don't know how else to describe it.
Been doing this for years, but can't remember such a gut wrenching departure.
Players come and go - Part of the game and I'm old enough to understand that once a players head is turned, it is very difficult if not impossible to reverse the situation. I've read on here how Lallana and Shaw would stay. They won't and never would have, regardless who was in charge, But I always felt we had a shout with Poch and I could have lived with any of the players leaving as long as we kept him.
May be the shock of losing him to Spurs is a measure of how far we have come (Trying to find some positives) but it feels like the last five years have just come to a grinding halt.
It wasn't just the results, it was the football. Poch is and was the real deal. A complete breath of fresh air to the premiership and I loved every minute of it.
Don't blame the board, I am sure we did everything we could, but the footballing pecking order has spoken again, the most annoying thing, is that we were so close....so so so so close to doing something magical. The irony for me is that we were a world class striker away and at 15 million we really went for it with Osvaldo.....it just didn't work out.
Don't give up on Saints, we will be back.
My sentiments exactly!

And there is no "c" in Kraken, no matter how many times you try to insert it, "shallet".

Are the boxes all sold out, if not that will affect attendance figure even though ground appears full on the terraces.

I'm a little puzzled that new Season Tickets are being sold from 29th April, the same time as renewals. I want to move as I have not so nice people next to me. Any available seat could be purchased before I have a chance to select it. Why did they not give say, a week for renewals/moves, before allowing new sales? The pressure on the ticket office will magnified at the start of sales/renewals.
Does the online system allow for moves from 29th April?

Could it be that the Mali Group has come out of probate. NC might have been an executor.

I don't know if it is mandatory or not but the ref must be made to consult the lino BEFORE giving a penalty, not a sole decision.

I also saw that and realised he was probably confused with the very recent Plymouth v Pompey game way down in League 2.
As usual, not in control of his mouth or mind.
