Best friend of 42yrs is a Pompey fan. Never a problem as we've always respected (if frequently ridiculed) each others passion for our club.
Took me to Fratton once, disappeared when he realised I'd left my Saints badge on my leather jacket. Lucky I did notice before the delightful locals were able to.
He has enjoyed the St Mary's on many occasions, last time got more annoyed than myself about 'spam's cheating which was quite funny. His hatred of Burnley's fans originated over their behaviour when Fraser buggered his knee in 2015, not helped by their attitude towards women evident in the pubs before and after the game. Such modern gents.
He hates the drunken twat with bells, I'm not a great fan of 'the gun' song as it shows lack of imagination imo.
We continue to take great pleasure in each other team's problems, but don't personalise it. After all I like to know he's just a phone call away when the Skates cock up.
Most skates I know hate TCWTB.

Bumped into Alan Ball & Peter Osgood regularly in the Jolly Farmer in Warsash
Kevin Davies TGI's in Park Gate
Egil Ostenstaad in lingerie section of Debenhams
Juanmi in Ikea
David Ge Gea & Sergio Romero at Alton Towers

Me & my late old man were sat on the front row of the bench seats right behind Golac. I swear I have never seen a ball move so much in the air as that shot.

What do you use now? I haven't been able to find Southampton's kits on DHGate for a few years.
A search of Ward-Prowse or Redmond usually brings them up

Lego was like Glen Hoddle, without the talent.
Jones spent the weekend after getting sacked playing for his mate’s amateur team, Lego probably spent it sat out side a Brighton hip coffee shop, dinning on smashed avocado, Quinoa and chick peas salad washed down with a Vegan Chai Latte.
Don’t think Glasgow is for him. I can’t see his walking football going down well. Mincing around at the back in an Old Firm derby won’t go down very well, and I dread to think what a fried Clif white chocolate macadamia nut bar, tastes like….
You need to let it go fella!

'Longest unbeaten run' was a statistical quirk. We didn't get many points out of it.
I am no Russell fanboy but that comment is hilarious!!

I’ve some on social media saying “well that’s Downes gone”, “well that’s Stephens gone” etc
In a nutshell, is that a bad thing? I also doubt they’re spending any money this window. 🤣
Why does anyone want Downes gone?? - comfortably out best player in the Championship last time!!

I was in the upper tier towards the front and didn't notice any, not surprised if a few cashed in selling on , maybe it was more noticeable at the farewell ceremony?
I was in the lower - did not notice any during the game but quite apparent there were quite a few during the ceremony after. Witnessed one nipper put a Everton shirt over his Saints one .... bizarre!
Special shout out to the Everton old lady in our end, that look offence to the Saints singing 'Everton's shit hole, i wanna go home' after the game

My thoughts of the today
- Great scenes before the game - brought back memories of the home game against WBA last season
- Shame Goodison is going but it really is a shit hole
- A very special send off by Everton after the game - so many great players paraded around the pitch - Peter Beardsley looked so ill, Southall has put on some weight!
- The Everton fans must be the friendliest supporters in the land - loads stopped for a chat & wished Saints luck n the Championship
Only damper was the teams performance BUT that was expected!!

I feel time has clouded your judgement.
Agreed - Franny was 100% committed, has been a legend with his service to the club since BUT he was a shocking defender!

Nice to see Sunderland celebrate with their fans after the game ... unlike last year when we had to watch our bellend fans do knee slides across the pitch!
-
At least we get rid of another Northern team to the Premiership

My tickets turned up yesterday
