Has he signed yet?
Equipe says it's all agreed, we're paying 20 million € now, bonus payments to be added and the player has turned down more money from another club.
-
Who?
Does it matter, I'm sure that there have been seasons where I've not known who the 3rd choice keeper was.
-
"Leicester Sniffing" is the same agent leak to negotiate more money in the way United were "Sniffing" around Fonte who was always going to stay, but was after as good a deal as he could get.....
You are probably right there.
-
He's been linked with Chelsea, Spurs, Arsenal and the like so maybe he's holding out to see if one of those makes a last minute bid.
Well according to L'Equipe Leicester started sniffing around yesterday as well. How accurate that is I've no idea. Article also says that we've offered him about 50 K a week.
-
I reckon they'll declare when Overton gets his maiden hundred, or if he's out before getting there. Whichever comes first.
Game seems to be a bit stop/start for bad light though, probably end in a draw if that continues into tomorrow. Doesn't really matter, Warks and Surrey look to be in good or reasonable positions not to lose anyway so it's about all up for relegation.
-
Same old abysmal bowling then. Never mind we'll be back in Div 2 next season and can progress with some of the up and comers.
-
Funny how, despite the infamous black box, we get Dutch league players when RK is in charge (Tadic, Pelle, Cuco) and then French league players (Pied, Boufal...) now that Puel is manager - I guess its the old "not what you know...."
perhaps the black box is geographically specific...
-
According to SSN, fee would be in excess oF 20MILLION POUNDS.
Well if you read the French sporting press we've offered 15 million € and they want 20 . It's all speculative tat anyway.
Chill, we'll know in a week.
-
Obviously not any interest from Saints then if he's gone to the Samp.
-
Don't see how a WUM on a message board spouting a load of rubbish can cause the club any problems. I'm sure 99% of fan base have never even heard of him!
Well I don't remember, if I ever read it in the first place that is, what it was that he spouted. However bad publicity, even non-factual stuff, tends to hang around like a bad smell.
-
Didn't Monk say his info was actually spot on in regards to transfers?
Ah I couldn't really say, I've not been following very assiduously of late. Gotten a bit tired of the annual summer speculation
to be honest.

Jack Schitt says to expect Romanian bloke and Boufal as well...
And how have his previous predictions turned out ?
Not fussed about either of them myself.
-
If we are not signing players because of missed penalties that rules out Berahino who nearly hit the corner flag last night
Although him being a prize knob may render that a bit obsolete anyway.
-
It obviously remains to be seen whether our score is sufficient or not. For the time being I see Somerset scoring at nigh on 5 an over, has to be said that we started quite well yesterday though.
-
Bit of a so-so day yesterday then. Not disastrous of course but we scored at a snails pace and are only 281/6 afer 96 overs.
Other potential relegation rivals all bowled pretty well to boot.
-
Appear to have signed David Wainwright (Slow left-arm, formerly of Yorkshire and Derbyshire) as a replacement for Dawson.
Because Dawson is on ODI duty I hope and that he's not leaving.
-
Get rid of this guy tout suite. People complain non stop about Target and JWP being Austin is completely devoid of any use to Saints. If QPR want him them gift wrap him and send him return to send
Perhaps one of those West Ham joint chairmen wasn't exactly wrong when he said that Austin wasn't the big bargain he appeared to be.

I'll give the diamond another game or two but I agree with you. It's strange to change when the players we've got seem.to me to fit much better into last season's formation.
Sent from my D6503 using Tapatalk
But last season we had other players, probably better than those who have replaced them, we are learning that you can't have your cake and eat it too. Anyway who cares, we lost to Utd, it was always on the cards .
-
How?
Us giving him far more money and for longer than we originally wanted to I expect.
-
Good news, Hants win. Bad news, so did Surrey. Unbelievably, Surrey have moved up to second
(albeit having played a couple of matches more than some others).
Notts surely doomed. But it will take some great results to catch a team above.
Catching Warwickshire must be our most realistic hope I suppose, 17 points ahead of us with exactly the same WDL record.
Lack of bonus points throughout the season may cost us in the end, not to mention the penalty points deducted. Still 4 games to go and we seem to be both batting and bowling a bit better than the start of the season.
-
I note that the SSN 'whispers' on the Transfer Centre page has seen Jose's move to Man Utd creep from 4.0 to 4.1 to 4.2 in probability since last evening. I imagine there's some intel behind that, or at least a gathering pace of 'noise'.
Probably just another 10 year old Portuguese Utd "fan" posting on Facebook.

Notts 3 down now, really need to win this. Bowling attack looks better and more varied than it has all season. Remember seeing Carter bowl at Notts and can be genuinely sharp in pace. For whatever reason it didn't work out at Derbys after a few loan spells when he couldn't consistently break into what was a very strong Notts attack. Was surprised that he was still only 27 and if we can get him fit and confident would be a good signing.
Vince dropped from the one dayers, hope he returns with a point to prove. I feel a bit sorry for him as he was at least a year off being ready for Tests IMO but rushed in after a couple of good Lions knocks. Definitely has talent but struggled outside off stump in D1 against better bowlers for first half of last season.
Total rebuild needed of the top order whatever division we are in next season, probably 3 new batters at least to accompany Vince, Alsop and Wetherill. Dawson and Wheater in middle order.
Well I don't know if we're trying to buy wickets this afternoon but we're getting slammed. The target which looked totally ungettable for Notts half an hour ago now looks to be a distinct possibilty if these two batsmen stay together for much longer.
then again Surrey look as if they'll win again so it may not make much difference.
-
No comments on the 48-pointer relegation battle? Probably because Saints are back in action. Anyway, looking good after the 2nd day, big lead in their second innings with 9 wickets in hand. 4 wickets for Carter in Notts first innings.
And Alsop and Adams going very well this morning. If we could only win this game we'd be in a good position. Above Notts and a couple of points behind Surrey with a game more to play.
-
Well it's not too bad except that we're a goal down of course. Look quite enterprising most of the time.
