However if Chelsea get the 4 window ban that FIFA are trying to get imposed on them I doubt if anyone will be going anywhere from Chelsea FC.

She’s trying to scare Leavers to vote for her turd.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oh I think they've every reason to be scared actually. I really don't see any other outcome, this deal or no brexit because there is no way that the UK will just slam the door. May lost that option with her ill-advised General Election.
-
More please. She has to be removed for the good of the country.
Don't see it making much difference really. They're all far too inexperienced to obtain a Brexit with any reasonable outcome anyway. The EU are just following their rules, there are 2 options really, in or out. If it's out then it has to be done cleanly and accept the consequences.

we spent £18 million on wages? or on a transfer fee
Still adds up to a total waste of money though doesn't it. Think Vestergaard turns up for free to sit on the bench every week since the first couple of games? Club has been disastrously run for several years now.
-
Yep the Brexiteers. They own this mess.
If only they'd let us long term European Expats vote none of this would have happened.
Hope they correct that if there's another referendum. It affects us more than most and yet we had no say.
Obviously for just UK issues it's nothing to do with us as a rule but in European Issues it is.

Probably. I can see no Brexit at all being the favourite from there on.
Suits me. Think I can sue someone for the thousands that they've cost me with their nonsense and incompetence?
-
Would love him to come - a captain / leader with experience to organise the defense but unfortunately we wont get him because of wages
And yet we spent, what 18 million or so, on a supposed CB who can't get a game.
-
Decisive action from Fulham - perhaps we should now sack Hughes and hire Jokanovic. That's a plan.
What hiring yet another manager who seems to have proved that the gulf between the Championship and the Premier League is far too wide for many. Fulham have spent a King's Ransom on a team that seemed the bee's nut at the lower level. So something must be basically wrong with the manager's ability in the PL surely.

We were unlucky. But its not because of the ref. We just didn't do enough to win. Armstrong shot missed, Hoedt free header etc etc.
But Watford missed chances as well. Particularly Delofeu. At the end of the day we did win but the ref said we didn't.

It looks like it is bucketing down at St. Marys.
Probably explains the empty seats then.
-
my informed mate thinks he's actually been on gardening leave for the last six months, since the end of last season. Not sure if that is right?
Doubt if you'd notice the difference anyway. A total non-entity.

We don't have enough money nor enough status to be anything other than average.
Today's 16 million £ player is yesterday's free transfer. We could change anything you like but until we can get better than average players we'll be scrubbing about with the win some, lose more also rans. That said, we'll not go down because there are 3 teams worse than us. Just as there were last season.

Simple, get Superman to turn the world back until February 2014 and take a different path in time.
-
18/19 Vestergaard, Elyounoussi, Gunn, Armstrong - €62m
17/18 Carillo, Lemina, Hoedt, Bednarek - €61m
16/17 Boufal, Gabbiadini, Hojbjerg, Redmond, McCarthy, Pied - €69m
14 1st team signings costing €192m in the last 3 years and we're near relegation. That's in addition to 14 permanent signings during Koeman's two years. 28 signings in 5 years. Well run club my arse..
But compared to the sums spent by Chelsea,Liverpool, City, United and Arsenal this is just peanuts really. Yesterday just showed the difference in class between what you get for 13 million and what you get for 80 million.
-
Ref’s been very poor too. Hasn’t had a lot to do yet has pretty much got all of the big decisions wrong.
Most of them should have been in Chelsea's favour anyway so that's a plus for us right !
-
This.
You boo boys who think you know better than all the coaches, trainers and experts, and have decided to blame Hoedt for everything really are blind.
If you want to blame somebody blame PEH for that goal. He's not having his best game.
Does Hojbjerg ever have a best game ? I still don't see what people see in him, never have, probably never will.

Christ, what a colossal waste of time and money that Topley signing was, and I'm pretty sure many of us called it that at the time - pretty sure we paid Essex a fee to sign him mid-contract as well! And didn't he arrive injured?!
I see the official statement tries to pin the blame on the player himself, saying that he wanted to leave, but the recruitment department are equally to blame for signing someone who had such a dreadful fitness record.
Well I thought he was regarded as an excellent signing back in 2015. Not sure he was injured at that time. Hadn't he been taking a few wickets for Essex ? Obviously a major let down since though.

Hurrah, I've managed to avoid this board until today. Had an unexpectedly boozy Saturday afternoon, checked my phone only once. Then Sunday was playing the game and Monday I was again busy. I did watch the highlights yesterday on the OS - what depressing defending in the box - but I didn't see any reason to depress myself further by coming on here.
So, anything different from the usual meltdown threads? Still the same people welcoming the opportunity to be depressed and saying "I told you so" with some weird satisfaction?
As I've only 3 posts can I also ask here whether our game tonight is on the box, and can Yoshida play, pretty please?
Not on TV apparently.

Anyway, Hants have preserved their first division status so all of the rest just doesn't matter. Roll on next season. Perhaps we'll have a bit more luck with our overseas player. Steyn did a good job a few times, Amla was a bit of a waste of an oversea player spot really and I think Munro had one good game in total. Who knows where we are with Rossouw for next season , think he's contracted to us for one more season but whether he'll be here remains to be seen.
-
Hopefully the weather will save Hants; raining this afternoon, and the forecast is rain and gales tomorrow.
Not that it really matters anyway but a draw will give us a better chance of finishing 4th instead of 5th or 6th. Leaves Yorks with something to do in their last game so they'd be miffed if there's wind and wuthering tomorrow. Yorks miffed! bring on the rain then.

For my money this team needs at least 3 batsman in the off-season. Find it worrying that the new lad Donald hasn't got a go yet. Our top 3 at the minute looks absolutely dreadful.
Collectively they look dreadful, if one of them gets a few the other 2 fail dismally. Same goes for Northeast, one decent knock 3 bad ones follow. A bit disappointed in him myself, will need to do far better next season. What we really want is a good old Bopara type, always seems to get runs when Essex need them. Didn't realise he's only 33, been around for ever seemingly.
-
And yet another batting debacle. Good job it doesn't matter, well it probably does to Lancashire, who'll no doubt be relegated by
tomorrow evening.

I think these days everyone has to accept that they're both "real" cricket. There's a strong argument that the longer form of the game now would have no chance of survival as a professional sport without the financial benefits of T20 cricket.
Perhaps, but for me the Championship, 50 over Gillette type and the 40 over Sunday League was the better structure. No 1 day only players in those days. Blokes signed for the season at least and played the majority of games. I do not like T20, it just encourages slogging and depresses bowlers.
Anyway back to the present. Hants have just lost 3 quick wickets and are a royal 33/3. Good job we don't need much from this game.
-
So Worcs win the T20 and get relegated whereas Surrey who had a pretty poor short format season won the Championship with 2 games to spare. T20, whilst bringing in casual spectators, is detrimental to real cricket.

Looks like a fair recipe for relegation.
